Aviance smiled and waltzed in, sitting on the bed next to Alli. She leaned down to where Oliver was laying, giving him a kiss on his nose. "Hello my smart baby boy!" She cooed, tickling his stomach. In response, Oliver let out a series of squeaks, similar to laughter.

Ephraim nodded, cradling Marie gently in his arms. "Thank you for your hospitality."

"You are welcome." Sora nodded.

Aviance said, "It's definitely cute, until he keeps us up all night long. We won't be getting much sleep anymore."

Oliver just smiled, reaching up to pull Aviance's hair.

Ephraim said, "Do you possibly have a bed for my daughter to sleep in? I hate to ask, but she needs real rest."

"True..." Alli kissed his son's forehead.

"Yeah, we do. Aviance will show you. You gotta wake her up to eat though."

I was never born to be a gymnast.....

Oliver cooed quietly, squirming on the bed happily.

"He's just precious," Aviance murmured. "He's amazing. I'll be back in a bit, I'm fixing dinner. I'll bring you some as well, and we can eat in here if you'd like." She got up and went back to the kitchen to finish the stew.

When that happened, Oliver began to scream and wail, scrunching up his face.

Ephraim nodded, then gently prodded Marie. "Marie, the food's about ready. You need to wake up for now, then you can sleep after you eat."

Alli bounced his son up and down in his arms, patting his back. "Shhh babe." He whispered.

Sora smiled, "Aviance is a good cook, you'll like the food most likely."

US olympics...... probably not.

Oliver kept crying for a while, but he finally cried himself out, and just rested against Alli's shoulder, whimpering slightly.

Aviance called from the kitchen, "Dinner's ready everyone!" She got out plates and bowls and gave Ephraim and Marie food first. Aviance knew they needed it more.

Marie ate happily and said to Aviance, "This is the best food I've ever tasted! Thank you, Madame!"

Ephraim ate silently, but nodded in agreement with what Marie said.

Alli walked out, "Foods done?" He cuddled his son close.

Sora smiled, "next you need to try my sister's food." He nodded. "They are the best cooks out there."

Aviance nodded, smiling at Alli and Oliver. "Yes, go on and help yourself." She gently rubbed Oliver's back, which made him give a shriek of delight. "I know, I know. Mommy's here," she told him softly.

Ephraim smiled slightly, then watched Alli, Aviance and the baby, a look of tenderness crossing his features.

Alli smiled, "he loves his mom, eh?"

Sora looked at the man again. "Do you have any kids of your own beside Marie?" He asked, smiling gently.

Aviance said, "Of course! And his mommy loves him too."

Oliver clung to Alli's shirt, perfectly happy being held and cuddled, and getting loads of attention.

Ephraim said, "No. I never had the chance to marry or start a family. And I'm mostly a loner."

Aviance kissed Alli and said, "And I love you too. You and Oliver have made my life perfect, and I wouldn't change anything."

Ephraim said, "Many things have happened, to keep me from doing all that I had once dreamed I could."

"... How would you consider meeting a good friend of mine? A beautiful girl by the name of Estelle." Sora smiled. "A witch- she can help you find happiness."

Aviance beamed up at him, then went and got a bowl of stew for Alli. "Here you go honey. I gave you some extra meat pieces."

Ephraim said, "I don't know if that would be a good idea. As soon as we're able, Marie and I will be leaving."

Miranda stopped walking, the darkness of night seeming to creep toward the traveling pair, like a panther stalking its prey, coming in for the attack. She took Nick's hand, leading him off of the road for the night, unwilling to be found wandering the roads at strange hours. She'd never had a taste for bandits or crime, especially not so far from civilization-- if that's what you could call her home city. She tried to swallow the lump in her throat when she heard the distant howling of a wolf, subconsciously holding Nick's hand tighter. While she might not have looked it on the outside, she was terrified.

Nick didn't need to be incredibly sensitive or intuitive to realize this, either. The simple fact that she clutched at him for protection when he himself relied on her for guidance was enough to let him know how dire she thought the situation, if only subconsciously.

He wasn't heartless and he wasn't stupid, so he just held her back and decided to man up a bit. He didn't even bring up the subject.

Miranda eventually found a place that looked decent for "shelter" for the night. She sat down slowly, bringing her kneels to her chest, looking around timidly. Realizing that her outward appearance might possibly show how she felt, she quickly said, "I'm just cold, that's all, Nick. Really, I'm fine, I promise."
