Nick settled down as gently as he could; the action still caused him a significant amount of pain, though nothing grievous or unmanageable that he couldn't handle. As soon as he was comfortable he cast her a glance, one quizzical eyebrow sloped gracefully over his emerald eyes. He said nothing, though, only began to slide off his jacket slowly and pass the blue-gray garment over to her.

Miranda took his jacket gratefully, then pulled it around herself, still hunched over in her curled-up position. It wasn't the dark that scared her: it was what lurked in the dark. It could be vicious, horrifying, even deadly. "Thanks Nick," she said, trying to sound as if she was unaffected.

He smiled slightly, though even if she was looking she probably would have missed it in the dark. "Its no big deal." He said, and his voice sounded faint. "...You know. If you need me, Im right here."

"Oh well, thanks for the offer, I guess, but I really will be fine," she said quickly. Although, it was a bit too quickly, revealing her fears. When she heard the wofl howl again, she bolted over next to him, hiding her face in his arm. She felt like she could break into a cold sweat, her breath was moving faster.

"I'm a little scared, so what? do you want to make something of it," she said defensively, frowning at him. "Don't tell me you've never been scared before. I just don't like not knowing what's in the dark, is all..."

"Everyone is scared of something." He murmured, gently, his tone set. "Its nothing to be ashamed of. Sometimes you just have to admit it, you know?" He squeezed her side a bit. "Sometime you have to face up to it, and other times you have to shy away. Its fine. Just..." He paused, and his eyes flashed unnaturally in the dark. "Lets just get to sleep, okay?"

"... Dani." Isaac whispered to the boy. "Wake up. We have to talk." He wrapped around Dani, careful not to hurt him. "It's important."

Miranda curled up a bit, her body wanting to sleep, but her mind alert, in fight-or-flight mode. She felt a strange sense of adrenaline, the one that rises in someone when they're frightened, when they feel unsafe. But, eventually, her body won the fight for dominance, and her eyelids drooped, finally closing to give her some much needed rest.

Nick smiled wearily at her body, so strong and weathered despite her size. He didn't feel as if he needed to fight the urge to sleep, and instead gave into it, his face buried softly in her hair as the night moved on.

Dani, still weak and drained for his last transformation, was now trapped inside his female form, and no one was sure if he would again shift back into his male, his original state. Still, he rolled over, looking Isaac in the eye for a moment. "...Present?"

"Yes. A present." Isaac whispered. "I..." He turned red for a moment. He couldn't speak, and so he just stared into Dani's eyes, awaiting a reaction.

The next morning, Miranda slowly opened her eyes and was temporarily blinded by the bright sunshine pouring in through the trees, in shades of red and gold. And then she felt something warm resting upon her head. Moving slightly, she noticed Nick's face, buried in her dark hair. She smiled somewhat, moving closer to him so she wouldn't wake him up.

Nick, however, had become quite sensitive over the past few days- out of pure nessesity. "So you're awake?" He murmured, and smiled, his eyes still closed to shut out the morning sun. He took in a deep breath, found this no longer caused him to wince, and broke out into a wide grin. "Oh, yessss. Nothing better then waking up to the fresh scent of savior in the morning, and finding that its doing the trick."

Dani, though, only lay beniethe him, eventually growing weary and closing his eyes once more. "What is it?"

Miranda rolled her eyes and said, "I'm no savior. I'm doing what's right." She moved, then examined his face, checking to see if any head injuries he had were still around. "Now you'll have to forgive me for what I'm going to do," she told him, a note of warning in her voice. She gently removed his shirt, so she could examine his chest, mainly his ribs, to see how he was faring. It seemed he was doing better, but she couldn't be sure. "How are you feeling?" She asked him softly.

"Sore." He murmured, wincing whenever she touched a tender area. He had also hissed when she lifted his shirt, but seemed considerably better, having healed up well for constantly being on the move. "But Im doing okay."

Dannys eyes lit up, and he looked to Isaac fully. "Really?" He murmured, curiously, eyes bright. "Where?"

Aviance was in the room she and Alli shared, giving Oliver a bath in a little metal tub. Oliver seemed to love the water, splashing in it and making it ripple with his tiny arms. He screeched happily, showing his obvious joy at being in the water.
