Nicola got up, dusting herself off. "Fine. But I'll vome back for you. Maybe I shouldn't have abandoned you so quickly."

"I'll be waiting." Damien said, before taking Jessica inside. "I'm sorry Jessica..."

"Well, that looked like a fun reunion." Jessica mumbled, wincing as she twisted around and annoyed somewhere. Ah, that was gonna bruise....

Damien stayed quiet, just walking inside the house.

Jessica sighed, sitting on the edge of the sofa. "You okay?"

 

[YellowJedi]

"I guess I am." Damien sighed, sitting next to her.

 

[tamaturtle]

"I would say sorry for diving at her, but I'm not." Jessica told Damien. "You seemed a little freaked out by her..."

 

[YellowJedi]

Damien sighed. "I'm just in a really bad state knowning she doesnt care about me."

 

[tamaturtle]

"That's gotta hurt." Jessica admitted. "You really thought she did, din't you?"

 

[YellowJedi]

Damien just nodded, not wanting to talk anymore.

Jessica bit her lip. "So... you get revenge, right? Just drop her like she did you. She'll want a reaction from you."

 

[YellowJedi]

"Yeah, I guess." Damien said, although knowing it would be harder then it sounded.

 

[tamaturtle]

Jessica watched Damien's face. "Or you could just, y'know, leave her alone. Don't give her what she wants."

 

[YellowJedi]

"I got this under control Jessica, don't worry about me." Damien responded quickly.

 

[tamaturtle]

"You know full well I can't stay out of this. She said she might get another project." A pause. "Who would you say you're most protective over right now?"

 

[YellowJedi]

"You." Damien said quietly.

 

[tamaturtle]

"Exactly." Jessica said quietly, not looking at Damien. "So we know who she'd go for. Maybe we should stay away from each other."

 

[YellowJedi]

"But if we stayed away from each other, I couldn't protect you." Damien told Jessica. "And that's just not an option."

 

[tamaturtle]

"If we stayed away from each other you wouldn't have to protect me - she wouldn't be interested! I could easily survive in a war zone."

 

[YellowJedi]

Damien looked down. "I don't want to stay away from you."
