Eli opened his mouth a bit to try and talk but nothing really came out. "No, I- I didn't mean it like that, that sounded bad." He mumbled in an almost babble-ish way. "Uh, I... I don't know... I haven't really thought about it. " He swallowed hard, he didn't want to upset her before a big show like this and he felt bad that what he had said has come out sounding horrible. in all honesty he hadn't really ever had a real relationship before, he always ended up pushing people away before it ever got to that point, he never even really had friends.

Meimei laughed lightly, and then she shook her head quickly. "Don't worry, I'm not upset about it or anything. I was just wondering. Besides, it's too soon to really say anything for sure, am I right? No big deal." She cuddled close to him, not minding that he wasn't sure. She had never done this before, so she wasn't sure how it was supposed to go either.

Eli leaned himself back in the little black office chair. He wrapped his arms around her stomach, holding her against him and breathing a small sigh of relief. He didn't mind the silence but it was almost awkward. Eli wasn't too surprised at the slight awkwardness though especially after their conversation and under their current circumstances. They had to stay quiet because they were only a few yards from the audience and the show was going to start anytime soon.

Mei was pretty comfortable in their current position, giving a soft yawn and a smile. "I'm hoping tonight goes well. Maybe I'll find a way to get out of this place, and move on to bigger and better things. Maybe they'll take me seriously as a performer, somehow. I think that would make me happy." She leaned with him and rested her head on his chest, placing her hand on his cheek.

" I don't see why not. It's a big city though you've really got to put yourself out there. I mean I can see how rejection could get tough but you have to audition for everything and anything you possibly can no matter how small. Kind of like this. If nothing else it's extra practice and experience. " He told her. Eli understood where she was coming from. Everybody moves to a big city to try and get their big break and when it doesnt happen right away the dream starts to seem even further away. " But hey, every big broadway legend had to start somewhere right. " He placed his hand on hers and moved it slightly, liftin it from his cheek and holding it in his. He kissed her fingers and then held her hand, keeping it up by his chin along his neck and collar.

Mei smiled and sighed happily. "That's true. I just wish that maybe this job was a little bit different, you know? Without all the vice and stripping and stuff. I mean, it's one thing to do that in a legitimate show, but when you basically are a hooker, it's demeaning. You know?" She brushed her fingers across his neck, smiling slightly. "Someday, things will change for the better. I just know it. After everything I've gone through, even this is a slice of heaven."

Eli nodded, understanding what she meant. " Yeah that would be nice. I mean sure broadway has some things like that in it but it's not the premise of the show like this is. Demeaning?" Eli scoffed. "You think? Try answering the phones aroun here. It's like they're ordering meat. " He hated getting stuck answering the phones, especially since he had to be polite and couldn't say anything to them even when they were collosal a**holes.

Mei frowned and said, "Yes, I am lucky to not have to do that. What do they say?" She turned to face him, curious about what the men actually asked for when they called. She never took personal calls they were always directed to the office unless she stated otherwise. Which meant she usually never got calls anyways, because she had no family and her friends wouldn't call her at work. But the way he had described it intrigued her, made her want to know just how bad things really were.

"Oh sweetheart you don't want to know. " Eli told the girl sitting in his lap. "They are complete lowlife as*holes. I mean I'm sure you've heard enough of it before to guess. I mean you get to put up with them live and the sh't they say. I'm not sure how you can put up with that. I only behave on the phone because I can't hit them through the phone an when they are in here I stay in the back and avoid them and their BS. "

Mei turned and faced him, kissing his chin and then his lips. "Well, if it makes you feel any better, I don't take their crap. If they get fresh, I call them out. I may lose a customer or two, but I don't care. The extra money isn't worth it." She tugged on his shirt, opening it slightly and kissing his chest. "The only guy I care about is you. And hanging out with you makes up for all the other sh`t guys give me."

Eli chuckled. "Now I can just picture you punching your customers in the face. " He told her smirking a bit. He rolled his eyes slightly at her latter comment. "You are too cute. " He told her " But it still doesn't make them any better. " Eli pointed out on a somewhat more somber note. He ran a hand lightly through her hair.

"oh, I don't punch them. I just.. speak my mind. In a very loud voice," Mei murmured against his stomach, leaving red lipstick on his skin. She smirked up at him and whispered, "We could get in so much trouble for this, you know?" She giggled, taking his free hand in hers and kissing his palm.

"I know. It was jut a fun mental image." Eli explained to her. He made a soft moaning noise as her cool lips brushed against his skin. "I know. " He whispered in response to her. "Let's not get caught then. " He added smirking. He leaned his head down to her. He kissed her forehead, cheek, Hawkins and then lips gently.

Meimei kissed him in return, then climbed back onto his lap, hiking up the skirt of her costume and grinning. "That's right." She started kissing his neck, making quick work of getting him just unclothed enough. "I want you," she whispered hoarsely, pushing herself up against him.

*skip for young eyes*

"You are horrible. " Eli told her. " Now you've gone and messed yourself all up. " he ruffled her now slightly tousled hair. He leaned his head back onto the chair. He was completely amazed by this girl. "What am I ever going to do with you?" he asked her shaking his head a little bit.

Lmao. I just noticed that my auto correct changed jawline to Hawkins. Oh god. Dying of laughter.

So THATS what you meant! HAHAHAHAHA! AUTOCORRECT FAIL!!!

"I think the real question is, what aren't you going to do with me?" Meimei said, laughing. She kissed his cheek, then started adjusting her costume quickly, brushing her hands over the fabric of her clothes. She then ran her fingers through her hair, making it look somewhat presentable. "Well, don't look nearly as bad as you. Lipstick marks all over your body and crazy hair, and so sweaty..." She giggled and ran a finger on his collarbone.

I know I just accidentially scrolled up and it caught my eye and I was like wtf??? I don't even know how it got that out of jawline.

Eli ran a hand through his hair. He looked down at his chest. " I didn't even think you had that much lipstick on. " He shook his head at himself. "Yeah, thanks. I'm really feeling the love here. " He told her commenting on what she had said about her not looking nearly as bad as him. He stood up and redressed himself leaving his shirt open and moved over to the sink. He tried usin paper towels and the water to scrub off the red and pink stains on his chest. When he was satisfied that it was as good as it was going to get until he showered he started to re button his shirt up.

It's autocorrect. It has a mind of its own xD

Meimei laughed and said, "I had to put on gobs of lipstick to make them look red enough for my liking. Plus, it keeps my lips feeling soft." She ruffled his hair and said, "Hey, I wasn't saying you look bad. In fact, I think I like that look a whole lot. You know, the whole unkempt and pleasantly exhausted look." She stayed in the chair as she watched him try to get the lipstick off of himself. She smirked and said, "You're welcome!"

He redid the buttons up only leaving the very top one undone. Eli simply rolled his eyes at her as he turned around to face her again. "Mhmmm. God this crap stains. I'd hate to see you mess up when putting it on. You know like on tv when they end up drawing a line across their cheeks? You'd end up permanently having the pink line on your face." He walked back over to the chair and leaned so his hands were propping him up on the armrest. "After seeing what you have done in this, however long its been I'm actually quite scared to know what you're going to do with me with the whole night. "

Meimei smirked and raised an eyebrow at him, listening to wait he said attentively. When he stopped talking, she reached up to play with his collar, her smirk turning into a grin. "You're scared? Well, I'm honestly dying for tonight. It's definitely going to be fun. Besides, I'm not one of those weirdos with a scary fetish." She tilted her head back and laughed, then started putting her lipstick back on. "I'm an expert at this. It's not easy to do with other girls running around in a small dressing room."
