"It's a weird feeling, being alone with all these other people who have families and stuff. Truth be told, it makes me kind of jealous. I try not to get all irritated about it, but some people just take what they have for granted." Mei normally wasn't one to get upset easily, but at that point the smile had gone right off her face, and her eyebrows furrowed slightly. But then the moment was gone. "Sorry for getting all weird right then, sometimes I get passionate about what I'm talking about."

"I've noticed." Eli commented smirking a bit down at her. He wasn't exactly sure why he did it but he just sort of reached down and pulled Mei's hair out of the ponytail she'd swept it up in earlier. He ruffled it gently with his hand letting it fall over her shoulders and upper back. He just looked at her for a moment before loking away and continuing on walking, keeping his eyes and focus straigt ahead.

Oooh yay food time! Alicia is quite hungry today and I really love when dinner is made for me :) I shall return soonish

Mei reached up and touched her hair, walking along beside him, but with her gaze on the ground. Her cheeks had turned red again, but she couldn't help smiling a little bit. He had voluntarily touched her! Internally she was throwing a party. Not only had he talked to her, but they had made physical contact!

Eli watched the road ahead of him as they walked. Silently walked, side by side, neither of them saying anything. He could feel the slight tension but he really didnt know what exactly it was. He had no idea why he had taken out her hair like he had, but he liked it better sown down. He glanced at her slightly out of the corner of his eye breifly, saying nothing. He tried to keep his focus ahead of him or on buildings they passed or the people that passed them.

As they walked, Meimei reached out her hand and took his hand in her own. She didn't look at him, just held his hand and walked along beside him. She didn't say anything, but she did want him to know that she liked him-- a lot. She had watched him from afar since the day she had arrived at the follies, but she had always been afraid of being shot down. So she had avoided him like the plague.

Eli looked down at their hands when he felt her slip her hand into his. He couldn't help but stare down at their intertwined hands in amazement and utter confusion. He wanted to say something but didn't know what to say or how to say it without sounding like a moron.

Mei let go of his hand after a few moments, running her fingers through her hair, and then wrapping her jacket more tightly around herself. "Listen... I was hoping maybe we could hang out after the show. I really don't want to be at the mercy of the possible clients."

"Um, I mean I guess so. That's in what a couple of days?" Eli wondered. He knew the show was close and quickly approaching but he wasn't exactly sure of exactly what day it was on. " I think I'm probably just going to head home now instead of going back. I honestly just don't feel like going back to work again and besides everything is pretty much done..." he said sort of simply thinking aloud to himself.

"Yeah, a couple days. It's going to be great this time!" Meimei said excitedly, a smile on her face. When he said he was going home, she nodded and said, "Okay! It was really cool to hang out with you, Eli. I hope you have an awesome rest of the day!" She smiled up at him flirtatiously. "Until next time?"

"Yeah it was nice, kind of fun even. " Eli agreed adding "I guess so. Until next time. " after another few moment of walking. The corners of his lips turned up a bit almost returning her smile. He stopped not really sure what to do now because he really didn't want to leave just yet. Should he walk her back to the building or just head on his way now? Instead of settling on one or the other he just stopped, standing still on the sidewalk trying to make a concrete descision.

Mei turned around and gave him a look of curiosity, raising an eyebrow. "You okay?" She asked, trying not to smile at him. "Would you mind walking me to the building? I mean, really, a girl like me all alone in New York? You never know what could happen."

"Huh?" Eli muttered being snapped back to reality. " Oh sorry. Um sure, yeah, that was actually what I was just debating doing. " he answered walking again and catching up with Mei, falling inline beside her. He did have to agree with her that in this city or any large city like this a girl walking around even alone in the day was dangerous. There definately were some creeps in this city.

"Thanks," Meimei said softly, smiling at him once more. "So, how far do you live from the follies anyway? Is it just down the street or do you have to drive?" She walked along the street toward the building, reluctant to go back to practice after having a relaxing time with Eli.

"Not very. Just around the corner," Eli told her making a small justure down the street they were about to cross. "But I usually drive, its faster in the mornings when I'm running a bit late. What about you?" He asked her as they approached the street and came to a stop. "You don't seem to want to go back..." He pointed out to her noticing her expression while they waited for passing cars.

"Oh, I live about ten minutes from here, but I usually walk from the studio that's down the street," she replied. "I don't have a car anyway, so walking around is a lot simpler. And, to be honest, after having such a good time with you... I don't want to have practice today. Plus, I'm worried about Brielle..."

Eli nodded understanding what she meant. "Yeah It's difficult driving without a car..." He said. After a few minutes they had finally managed to cross the street. Eli paused on the other side. "Can I try something?" He asked looking down at her. They were pretty much blocking the siddewalk, standing in the middle but Eli didn't really seem to care.

Mei tilted her head when he asked her a question, somewhat confused as to what he was talking about. "Well... sure, why not?" She smiled slightly, not really worried about blocking the sidewalk. She was used to obstructions in the street. They seemed to happen all the time, and she figured one more wasn't going to hurt.

Eli smiled a bit. He was very unsure of what he was about to do but he figured if he stopped to question himself now he would never actually have the courage to do it. He placed a gentil hand underneath her already tilted up chin and leaned down so his face was only inches above hers. He paused for a second giving her the change to stop him before he leaned down and pressed his lips to hers. With every second he could feel the passion growing. After a few seconds he pulled back a few inches slowly.

Mei had been almost intimidated when he leaned down toward her face, instincts from run-ins with men making her wary. But then he started kissing her, and it was nice, unlike any kiss she had received before. She leaned into it while it lasted, her eyes closed, her heart beating quickly. When he pulled back, she opened her eyes and looked up at him with a smile of surprise. Happiness just seemed to radiate from the young woman as she looked up at Eli.

Eli smiled down at her, breathing out a small chuckle. He had kissed other girls before but never like that, it had been gentle and soft but still passionate. He didn't lean back up, he just smiled softly, watching Mei do the same. He really enjoyed that and was glad that he'd tried that. But now that he'd actually done it, he felt a longing for the taste of her lips again.
