Brielle was still on her couch, half awake, half asleep. She sat up, her head pounding. Her body did weird things when she was panicked. Or even bothered by something. Brielle called the Chinese resteraunt down the street and ordered take out.

"Alright Alright, I'm coming." Eli complied allowing her to drag him out the door and into the bustling lunchtime streets of downtown. As they walked Eli reached into his pocket and pulled a cigarette from his pack and put it in his mouth lighting it silently. He breathed it in and then out again, making a soft noise with the exhale.

Meimei said, "You'll like this place, I think. It has great dishes, and they brew their own tea. It tastes awesome!" She smiled up at him, then playfully pulled him into the restaurant, smirking. "We can take a seat anywhere we'd like." She led him to a booth and sat down, then motioned to the spot across from her.

Eli put out his cigarette before entering the restaurant. He followed Mei to the booth and slid into the seat across from her. He layed his jacked down on the soft bench beside him and glanced around the restaurant curiously. It was a nice place and it was very elegantly decorated. "So you've been here before?" Eli asked her.

"Oh yeah," Mei said, smiling as he looked around. "It's really great! It's the most authentic place I've been to so far. I love good food! We used to have huge meals back home when my parents were alive." She looked out the window for a moment, but then looked at Eli and smiled. "I'm really glad that you decided to come with me. I know that my outburst earlier was weird... well, I am weird, but... I didn't mean to freak you out or anything like that."

"No problem. It was avtually almost... cute. " Eli told her shrugging slightly. "It takes quite a bit to really freak me out anymore. And I'm glad I came to I've never been to a restaurant like this before." The place was somewhat busy so it was decently loud but Eli didn't mind he preferred restaurants with a bit of noise compared to those that are always silent.

"Almost being the key word. It was more weird and awkward than anything, really," Meimei said, laughing lightly. She waved over one of the waiters, beaming. She had a quick conversation with the waiter, who knew her because she'd gone there so much. Then, Meimei placed an order for pad thai and a glass of tea, and then she let Eli make his own order.

Eli was unsure of what to order because he had never eaten Thai food before let alone gone to a Thai restaurant. He looked to Meimei for help. " I honestly have no clue what half of this menu says. And if I could pronounce anything I'd still have no clue what any of it is. " He paused for a moment and then added. " But I will take a coffee.

-_- Grrr I hate typing on my iPod.

Meimei looked at the menu and said, "Well, the chicken pad thai is amazing here, but that's what I ordered, and you could take a few bites of my order. Hm... Khao phat moo is good! It's fried rice with pork." She went ahead and ordered it, and the waiter hurried away to get their orders. Meimei smiled at Eli and said, "So, when you're not working, what do you like to do?

"Alright sounds good. " Eli agreed simply.

This was something he actually had to think about. " Hmmm I'm not sure. " he said " Sleep. " he answered half joking. "I'd love to travel though. I mean as a kid I never went on vacation or anything and I am obviously not very culture used and I'd love to see the rest of the world. That's kind of why I moved up here because it has so many cultures all crammed into one street. I like the idea of of being able to sample several parts of the world all on one street. But I would love to actually be able to go. "

"Well, if ever you go to China, definitely explore outside of the cities as well. You can find some great history in smaller villages and out in the wild. But also remember to explore museums and stuff, but be careful-- communism is still pretty strong, so I've heard." She thank the waiter when he brought their drinks, then sipped her tea delicately. "I'd like to see the world as well, although my guardian took me throughout a couple parts of eastern Europe. But I never got to stay very long, and I only got to see the academies I performed at."

Eli laughed. "You talk alot. " he told her plainly. This wasn't something he was used to for most of his life he'd been alone and never really had people to talk to so he got quite accustomed to silence. "Besides I don't think I'll ever end up getting there. " He took a sip of his coffee and looke down at his wrist checking his watch.

Mei covered her mouth, embarrassed. "Oh... um... I'm sorry, sometimes I just don't know when to shut my mouth." She went back to sipping her tea, then helped the waiter put the plates on the table. "Bon apetit!" She chirped, before digging into her food. She was absolutely famished!

"I wasn't complaining. " Eli pointed out. Eli smiled at her slightly and ate his food. " Mmmm, you were right. This is really good. " he mumbled with some of the meal still in his mouth. He finished off his coffe and most of his meal. He set his plate to the side a bit so it was no longer directly infront of him. He was full and probably would be able to go the rest of the day on just a few small snacks.

Meimei smiled slightly, then kept eating her food. She cleared her plate in no time, but she was still hungry. She looked at Eli's leftover food, then started eating it quickly. She finished that in a few minutes, then pushed both plates away from herself. "So, I'm guessing you're glad you came, huh?"

Eli shook his head slightly at Mei in amazement. He had no idea how she could possibly eat all that food in one day and not explode. "Mhmm. It was nice, and the food was really good. " he agreed "You ready to go? " he asked her picking up his coat and tossing a small pile of bills onto the table.

"Yes, I'm ready," she said, taking one last sip of her tea before getting up and stretching her legs. She then thanked the waiter before walking outside. "Thanks for having lunch with me, by the way. I had a really nice time. Maybe we could do it again sometime soon?" She looked up at him with a smile.

"Yeah, no problem. It was nice. " Eli said walking outside along side Meimei. " So do you have any family here, or is it just you? " he asked her. He had noticed that earlier she had said guardian and he wondered if that meant that she had no actual family here.

"No, it's just me. My parents died when I was younger, and then I was raised by an elderly woman who lived in different parts of Europe. She's the reason I finally started going to performance schools. She died though, so I decided to start fresh in America. But when I wound up here, the trip had taken all of my money. The girls in the show are like the family I never really got to have."

Eli paused for a moment, not sure what he could really say at this point. " Yeah, I kind of know what you mean. When I was 15 my dad died and then I moved out shortly after an I've been on my own since..." he added as they walked down the once busy but now almost empty.
