Morgan sat, as she was told. When Asher got back, she commented, "You did well. The marshmallows are overflowing, just the way I like it." She took a sip and snickered as she said, "Hey, I'm not eating for two, I'm eating for one and a half. It's only been a few weeks, or something. And besides, I haven't even gone to the doctor yet. I could just be having a hysterical pregnancy."

"Ah, well, there you are then. Not to scare you or anything but really I've known you all your life and so know these little details," Asher said with a small smirk, taking a sip of his hot chocolate, sitting back in his chair, feeling relaxed around someone for once. "Okay, well, still, more than one person," he chuckled. "And, yes, that was an invite, by the way, for whenever suits you."

"Hmm. Are you sure? Because most people I know like marshmallows. It could just be a lucky guess." Morgan said, playfully. She thought for a moment and said, "Well, how about Friday? I have a lot to do this week, so Friday sounds like a good day."

"Oh, you caught me," Asher said, playfully dramatic, sighing in an over the top fashion, then laughed a little as he took another sip of his drink. He then said, "Well, Friday sounds good to me. Earlier than I expected, actually, so you're not as busy as I thought you were," he smiled.

"My busy is cleaning, cooking, working, and taking care of Cody. I have no real life, you know. I think everyone can survive one day without me, especially since Kyle's home and can help me a little." Morgan said, shrugging. She took a couple more sips of her hot chocolate and set the drink on the table. She took a napkin from the dispenser and started to fold it into an origami shape. After a few minutes, she held up a miniature frog.

Asher paused for a moment, before he said, "You know, if you ever need help with anything.. Or just a break for a change.. Just ask me, any time." He wasn't saying it because he felt like he was obliged to, he simply felt like she deserved to have some free time for a change. He then watched as she folded the napkin into a frog. He smiled when she presented it and he said "I'm impressed. I know the cliche flying crane, but that's about it."

Morgan completely ignored Asher's offer to help, and instead focused on the origami. "I used to have an asian best friend who taught me how to make all sorts of things." She took another napkin and folded this one a little faster, obviously one that came easier to her. She held up a small heart. "This one's my favorite."

Asher just kept quiet after she ignored his offer, figuring that being persistent wouldn't help when it came to Morgan with that kind of thing. Instead he watched her again while she started folding something else, and smiled at the outcome-- but more warmly than his usual slight smile this time. "It's really... sweet, for lack of a better word," he said, putting his cup down for a moment just slightly to the side of him, "I like that one, too."

Morgan smiled softly and set the heart next to the frog. She picked up her hot chocolate again and leaned back in her seat. She took a few more sips, not wanting it to get cold. She was suddenly very tired. Fighting to keep her eyes open, and hold in a yawn, she suggested, "Maybe you should take me home now. We have school tomorrow, you know."

Asher finished his hot chocolate and set the cup down on the table, nodding a little bit wearily. "That's true," he agreed in a soft murmur, about the highest volume he could manage. He'd pretty much forgotten the existence of school for an evening. It was amazing how spending time with her could do that, and he smiled to himself at the thought. He pulled his coat back on from over the back of the chair and waited for her to finish her drink, and then they would head for home.

Asher headed back to the car in the parking lot, and opened her door before getting into the driver's side again. He remembered the way to Morgan's house since he remembered passing the cafe on the way from his house to hers to pick her up. It was funny, things like that just stuck in his head; he knew by now that it was something to do with the way his mind worked, and it all connected in a way that made him the way he was, playing a part in his difficulty to be sociable and also, on the other end of the spectrum, his creativity. In fact there was a lot of truth in when he'd told Morgan he considered himself far from normal, but he'd never told anybody why before. He pulled up outside her house, and stopped himself from dwelling on it further. He looked at her and said, "Thank you, again, for coming tonight, and or making it so great."

Haha, no problem :)

Morgan just smiled. "No, thank you, Asher." She leaned over and gave him a quick peck goodnight before getting out of the car and practically skipping to the front door. She turned the knob and walked in, but not before looking over her shoulder and waving to Asher. She disappeared into the house. Kyle and Cody stood there waiting for her, both holding suitcases. "Uh- are we moving or something?" Morgan asked with a confused look.

"Actually, yes. I meant to tell you earlier, but you had that date," Morgan grinned when Kyle mentioned the date. She just couldn't help it. "I bought an apartment in the city, and you and Cody are moving in with me." Morgan screamed with joy, and practically tackled Kyle in a hug. "Are you serious?!" Morgan asked, still screaming. When Kyle nodded, she took Cody's hands and started dancing around the room with him. "This day couldn't get any better!" she squealed, twirling Cody around.

"Bye. I'll see you tomorrow," Asher said to her, returning the kiss gently, and then waving to her as she walked back to the house. He drove home, and smiled to himself as he thought about the evening he'd had, even as he got home and started getting ready to sleep. His parents had asked why Morgan hadn't come back for coffee, and Asher had just told them that it was probably too late by the time they were finished with everything else. Everyone was tired, and they didn't talk about it much, so noone knew that Morgan was actually his girlfriend now. He didn't know when he'd tell them. Sometime.

"You should go start packing before dad or Janet get home, though. We don't need them to know until I go to court and get official custody of you two." Kyle said, gently pushing Morgan towards her bedroom. Morgan obliged, pulling out her suitcase from underneath the bed. She opened it and started tossing random articles of clothing inside. Kyle came in and sat on the edge of the bed, next to the suitcase. Morgan sighed, and figured she really did need to tell everything, since he was rescuing her from all the pain in her life. "Ky-Ky..." MOrgan began, using the nickname she had given him when they were younger. "I'm pregnant. It's not Asher's, so don't try to kill him. It's actually this other guy that I was seeing- well not really seeing, per se, but more like banging. A lot. And now he's peaced out and... Asher and I are going to try a legit relationship." She avoided his eyes and continued to pack. "What the hell were you thinking?" Kyle said, shocked that his used-to-be-an-angel sister would do that sort of thing.

Asher made himself another mug of hot chocolate. Despite it being late he didn't feel tired enough to go to sleep. While he sat on his bed drinking it, Sam came in, wanting to know how the evening had gone in better detail than his parents cared for. He told her that dinner was great, that they talked a lot and got on really well, and told her how he'd agreed to go dancing with her-- she found that pretty amusing, she'd never seen her brother dance before. "I'll have you know she told me she thought I did pretty well," he said.

Kyle was taking this far better than Morgan thought. She sat on the bed next to him and saw that he was tearing up a little. "Sorry. It's just, I remember when I could protect you, and now it's a little hard to swallow when I find out my baby sister went down the wrong path." Morgan hugged him and murmured, "I still love you. I'm done with the wrong path, I promise. Meeting Asher helped me realize I'm worth more than what I've been giving myself credit for."

Thankfully, Sam stayed away from the subject of his relationship with Morgan for a while. He didn't think that if she'd asked what they were to each other, as such, he could have told her they were still just friends. Eventually, though, the question cropped up. "So.. Are you two really just friends?"

"We were when you asked us earlier. But now.. Well, I told her how I felt at dinner, and she thinks the same. So we're going to try."

"Are you serious?" Sam said, looking surprised, but in a happy way. "That's wonderful, Asher! I'm so glad you've found someone that you really like that much. And she seems nice, and she's very pretty."

Kyle hugged her back and said, "Well, I guess Asher looked like a decent kid..." Morgan grinned and stood up to continue packing. "Can we go to the doctor after school tomorrow?" she asked, "I haven't asked a doctor if this pregnancy is legit yet. I just took, like, four pregnancy tests."

Kyle nodded, and started helping her pack. "I'll make an appointment in a little bit." They stayed silent for a while, but Kyle finally asked, "What's Asher think about all this?"

"He says he's going to stand by me no matter what." Morgan said, sitting on her suitcase and trying to zip it up.

Kyle smiled slightly. "I like him."

Asher finished his hot chocolate, setting the mug on his bedside table. He and Sam talked for a little while longer, partly about his evening, and partly about her day, how it had been and such. Eventually, she retired to her room and he got out his phone, sending just a quick text to Morgan, because he felt like it" Good night, by the way :).
