Morgan read the text, smiling. Night :) was all she replied with. She hopped off the bed and started dragging the suitcase to Kyle's car. THey would be coming back for anything else in the morning, meaning Morgan would probably be late for school. In the car, Cody fell asleep, and Morgan practically carried him up the stairs to the new apartment. Then, she dropped onto the couch and fell asleep herself.

Asher read the text, and then put his phone away, falling asleep only a few minutes later, he'd suddenly felt so exhausted. He slept the whole night, too, until he heard his alarm in his subconscious and rolled out of bed to go and get ready for school. He showered, changed, had breakfast with Sam, and then he set off for school in the car. He didn't have much to look forward to in the day when it came for school, other than art, and seeing Morgan. He was really dreading the thought of bumping into Riley, though.

Morgan slept like a baby, not waking up until Cody sat on her legs and bounced up and down. "Codster, you've gotta get off of me!" she said, giggling a litte. Cody did as he was told and gave Morgan a kiss on the cheek as his way of saying good morning. "Morning to you, too, kiddo." She stood up and looked around until she found the kitchen. She opened the fridge. Nothing. The cabinets. Nothing. "Ky!" She called over her shoulder. At the exact moment, Kyle walked in with a bag full of McDonald's breakfast. "Never mind," Morgan murmured as she and Cody sat down at the small table in the kitchen. They gobbled the food up and got ready to go back over to Jack's house to get the rest of their stuff.

Asher arrived at his locker about five minutes before school was supposed to start. In the time that he was there, he was surprised not to see Morgan, but he wasn't going to be one of those horribly annoying boyfriends who worried at every absence and texted her with "Where are you babe?" every single time. No, he knew there would be a reason that he didn't have to know right away-- if he did, she would text him, simple as. He got out all the books he needed and then started to head for class when the bell went.

Dang, I love Asher. Haha.

Morgan, Kyle, and Cody all piled into Kyle's car and drove back over to the house. Cody played in the snow while Morgan and Kyle carried things out of the house, mostly from Cody's and Morgan's rooms. Once they got the major stuff, they took it back to the apartment and Morgan changed into some jeans and one of her off-the-shoulder tops before taking her car back to school. She stopped in the office to get a pass, and headed off to first period, which was already almost over.

I know, right? Especially because he has no idea just how perfect he is.

Asher had sat through History drawing things in the back of his book. He always got funny looks when he did, especially because, somehow, even though he'd barely been listening, he could answer the teacher's surprise questions made specifically to catch him out because they thought he wasn't listening. Most of the answer he had already read through a long time ago in the text book, and he just remembered it even though they had just brushed past it at the time. He was glad for the bell to ring so that he could pack up and go to a new classroom to change the environment a bit.

Morgan made her way through the crowd of people, finally making it to her locker. She took out her books for the next couple periods. She was extremely happy that she had missed science class. She looked over her shoulder, hoping she would see Asher, hoping that she wouldn't see Riley. Of course, Morgan has really bad luck when it comes to Riley, and he passed, winking and checking her out. "You still look good, Doyle," he called to her as she turned around. Obviously, he already put a damper on the day.

Asher had packed away his History book and on his way to his next class, he was about to turn the corner when he spotted Morgan. And Riley, unfortunately. He was looking at her in a mildly hungry sort of fashion and she didn't look quite as pleased to see him. He stopped and made a quick detour just to say hi-- he would have if it had just been Morgan, the aim wasn't to scare off Riley. "Hey," he called out to her, unable to help himself from smiling even though Riley would undoubtedly dampen the mood-- it amazed him how seeing her could make everything brighter.

Morgan smiled without even turning to see who had called out to her. It was obviously Asher. She turned and greeted him with a grin, and tried to push thoughts of Riley away. She gave him a quick hug and kiss, "Hey. Guess What?! Cody and I are moving in with Kyle! That's why I wasn't here this morning."

Asher gladly returned the hug and the kiss, smiling down at her while she told him her news excitedly. "You mean you're not living with Janet and your dad anymore? That's wonderful news, Morgan." It was, because not she was safe and so was Cody and she would be happier, too. "You've run into some good fortune. You deserve it, too," he told her.

"No more Janet or father! That is, of course, if Kyle gets custody of us. Which I think he will. If not, I'll just show the judge one of my many scars." Morgan said, shrugging. She laughed and changed the subject. "Riley tried to hit on me already, and it's only, like nine."

"Well, I hope so. It'll be great for you and for Cody, too," Asher replied. He was just glad that Jack wouldn't be there to hurt Morgan anymore. Sometimes the thought of her being around him when he was drunk scared him to death. He had to chuckle at the new subject of conversation. "I saw," he replied, nodding, "He really just can't stay away from you." He paused for a moment before held her hand and brought her a little closer, smiling down at her. "I can't say I blame him in some ways, though," he said, giving her a quick peck on the lips.

Seriously, Tarryn?! Asher is killing me! He's so freakin' perfect!

Morgan's stomach did a triple back flip when Asher said that. "More like he wants to make you angry, because he thinks I'm going to leave you over him. He just doesn't realize that you are as close to perfect as a man gets." Morgan smiled and kissed him again. "Just don't pay any attention to him, and he'll grow tired of it."

Hahaha, well, he has his imperfections but when it comes to Morgan, he tries his best x3

"Hey, don't put yourself down too much. I know he wants you to ditch me for him, but there's a reason for that," Asher replied, not willing to let her shy away from the fact that he thought she was beautiful. He kissed her back, and then chuckled, "Perfect is a very strong word. I wouldn't go throwing it about unless you're sure about that."

Morgan rolled her eyes. "I wouldn't say I think you're perfect if I didn't really think you are. You know I'm honest with you 100 percent of the time." She looked down. "And I also think that you need to remember what Riley said. Once I'm fat, he'll want nothing to do with me. So, it'll only be a couple more months.."

"I'm not saying you were lying, just exaggerating, perhaps," Asher chuckled. "But, thank you, I'm glad I can be perfect to you. And I know you won't believe me but I think you're perfect, too. Everything about you." He tilted her head up to look at him after she'd looked down. "He did say that, I know. And that's because this is Riley we're talking about. I'll still think you're beautiful even then, and you won't have to avoid him anymore because he won't bother you."

Morgan bit her lip and said quietly, "Well, thank you. It means a lot to me that you'd say that..." She trailed off and turned away, closing her locker. "I honestly don't want to talk about Riley anymore." After glancing at the clock, she added, "I guess we better get to class." She kissed him on the cheek, and walked to her classroom.

"Well, we won't, then," Asher replied. He'd honestly prefer not to talk about him, either. He'd prefer not to have to think about him, or be around him. It was a shame he sat so close to him in French. He knew he was in for a hard time when that came. "I'll see you later," he said to her, before heading in the other direction to go to class, too. He sat down, and already was drawing absentmindedly by the time the class started.

Morgan sat in art class and continued to paint her portrait of Cody.

Riley came into the room and glared at Asher. "So, you were with Morgan last night?" he asked as he sat next to Asher. "I'm assuming you two didn't get it on, but surely you did something along those lines."

Asher said to him, "That's a pretty vague question, isn't it? Yes, I was with Morgan. And the second part was kind of a statement, of which you have no proof of." He set his pencil down for a moment, but then decided not to give Riley the benefit of his full attention and picked it up again and carried on drawing. "And that depends. If you count kissing occasionally between dancing and eating dinner as close to getting it on, you're right on the money."
