Morgan nodded, as she thought about his response. Of course, his opinion was one of the few that mattered. "Yes. Your opinion means more to me than almost everyone put together." After another moment, she told him, "If you want me to be completely honest, my first impression of you was that you were extremely attractive, and all I wanted was a rebound-hook-up. Then I started to get to know you, and I saw all of your drawings and such, and it all just hit me that I didn't want to just hook-up with you, I wanted an actual, legitimate, serious relationship with you. Unfortunately, it's going to be one of the most serious relationships you can be in at eighteen." Her free hand reached for her stomach, which just reminded her that her life was seriously effed up. But, surprisingly, for the first time in a long time, she had hope that things could get better.

Asher smiled at her gently, even his eyes looked softened. What she said meant a lot to him, because, just as it was for her, her opinion was the one that mattered to him over everyone else's. And his expression also softened because it was one that was regarding her in her current position. Things were so hard for her, but she really, really tried not to let it show to anybody. He told her, "I'm willing to take it for as serious as it gets. I'm ready for that, because I really, really like you. And we'll figure things out, too. Things will get better, I'll try my best to make it that way." In the meantime their food was arriving, though only half of his mind was on that as it got set out before them. He squeezed her hand reassuringly one last time, just to let her know he was there for her before he told her to help herself to some food.

Morgan beamed before picking up her chopsticks and attempting to pick up a piece of sushi. She was actually quite good at it, to her surprise. She usually just used forks, but tonight she was in the mood for trying new things. After taking a bite, and chewing slowly, she swallowed. "Yum." she said happily, debating on what to try next.

Asher, in fact quite accustomed to chopsticks, started with just a small amount of a few things from the choices on the table, it all looked great, and he couldn't decide what to go for first. He took his first bite and smiled as he said, "Definitely coming here was the best idea." The fact that the food really was good was just the icing on the cake after everything that had happened. Not just today, but for a little while now, too

"Agreed." Morgan said, but of course, she wasn't just talking about the food. She was mostly agreeing on the fact that they were here together- not just as friends. She took another bite and chewed slowly, looking around the restraunt again. She swallowed and randomly asked, "What's your favorite type of music?"

Asher smiled at the randomness of her question. He finished his mouthful of food, and he replied with, "I like a lot of music, actually. But mostly I listen to older rock music, like Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith and Bon Jovi, really." In fact, he liked most kinds of music, but he really did love the old rock music. "What about you?"

"Wow, I can't say I know too many girls who like classic rock. That's cool," Asher said with a wide smile. "Country for me.. It's selective. I mean, Carrie Underwood is great, though she could sing anything, and I like a few others, but not all of them. Better than I like Hip Hop-- I think that's pretty much the style I really don't like."

"I certainly think she's overrated. I mean, she got all those grammy nominations for pretty non-groundbreaking stuff," Asher agreed, getting some more to eat for himself. He chuckled and said, "So we have more in common than I thought, anyway."

"I guess we do." Morgan said, grinning some more. You'd think her smile couldn't get any bigger, but Asher just made her feel good. Like nothing was really wrong with her life, and it was all just some stupid nightmare. She ate a couple more bites and said, "Okay, your turn. Ask me a random question."

I'm gonna go for a bit. I'll be back on later :)

The fact that Morgan was smiling so much made Asher so happy. The shy guy who never pleased anybody, only confused people, made a beautiful girl like Morgan smile, and the thought alone was enough to make him grin as well-- another strange thing for him, since he rarely smiled. "Okay.. Tell me what else you like to do besides draw and hang out with your brother."

Alrighty :) See you later.

Morgan thought for a moment before saying, "Being with you, listening to music, aaaand.. dancing." She figured Asher didn't know much about her dancing background, so she added, "I took ballet lessons when I was little, and whenever I have free time I either try and get back in the studio, or go to a recital. They make great inspirations for sketches, you know."

Asher said, "You like to dance? In some ways, I never would have guessed, but in others, it doesn't surprise me." He then smiled a bit and said, "You should try and teach me to dance sometime, in case I'll ever be in need of it, since I am my new, sociable self," he laughed a little. Of course, he didn't miss the first thing she said she liked to do. It amazed him how much the little things meant.

"Yes, I like to dance. I like art more, but it's something physical that relieves stress. Sometimes, I just feel like I need to sweat to get anger out, and sketching isn't the most athletic thing..." Morgan said, "Of course, I'll teach you how to dance. In fact, I know a studio that's open until, like, ten. We can go as soon as we finish eating." She grinned and asked him the same question, "So, what about you?"

"So soon?" Asher asked her, surprised, but excited about the prospect, "Sounds like a lot of fun to me, I'd love to. As for what I like to do.. Well, I like to listen to music, I like to read, hang out with my sister. And I haven't mentioned it to you before but I love to play guitar, too. I guess I just took it up when I needed something new to occupy me. It's easy to lose yourself, that's what I love about it. You just close your eyes, and that's all you hear, and you're in a good place. "

"I mean, we don't have to go tonight, but I figured that it'd be a good post-date. And I can give you your present." Morgan replied, shrugging. She smiled when he told her about guitar. "Honestly, that's kinda hot. You have to play for me sometime."

Sorry, I watched Alice in Wonderland with my sister and dad and totally forgot to tell you D:

"No, it's okay, I think it's a good idea, I'd like to," Asher replied with a smile. He thought it amusing how the evening had, in fact, become a date, after having had to tell himself to avoid the word earlier. He also realised how everything they had both said earlier took on an entirely new meaning, the questions and the statements about relationships that had once been portrayed as just out of curiosity were actually posed due to the fact that they both liked each other an awful lot. He had to sigh a little bit when she mentioned that she'd gotten him something, "You really shouldn't have, tonight has been more than enough of a great birthday gift." As for the guitar, he smiled then and said, "I'll play for you any time you ask me to."

That's alright :) I probably would have been too absorbed in my book, anyway.

Morgan smiled, clearly excited. Like Asher, she loved the fact they were calling this a date now- since they had both insisted it was anything but. Of course, Morgan was just nervous about telling Asher what she really felt because she didn't want another Riley. But once she thought about it, she realized that Asher was nothing like Riley, and he sure as h`ll wouldn't get her pregnant. "No, no, no. You are getting a birthday gift whether you like it or not." Morgan insisted.

Asher smiled and said, "Okay, I'll accept it graciously, because it's really sweet of you to get me something, but you will be in a small amount of trouble for it." He chuckled, a sign that he was just kidding, and then proceeded to finish off the last of his plate of food.
