Kyle made it to the door before Morgan did, and he threw it open. He looked Asher up and down before saying, "Hello. Can I help you?" Morgan caught a glimpse of Asher. Her head was saying things it shouldn't have been saying. She just silently kept telling herself, "No more sex, no more sex..." She got herself together enough to playfully shove her brother out of the doorway. "Hi." she said to Asher with one of her charming smiles.

"Oh, hey, I was looking for Morgan," Asher said, suprised that it was somebody he had not met who opened the door. "I'm supposed to be taking her out for dinner." He didn't quite know why it meant that much to him, but he was really hoping that this was Morgan's older brother at the door. Then Morgan appeared and he took a moment to say hello back. "Hi.." he said, "You look.. Great," and then managed a smile. He then produced some flowers and he said to her, "I know you said not to. But, I couldn't just arrive with nothing. And it doesn't count because, if it makes it any better, I got them from my garden."

"I guess it makes it better..." Morgan said, blushing slightly. "Oh, this is my older brother, Kyle." she said, motioning to Kyle. "Kyle, my friend, Asher." she added, putting extra emphasis on the word "friend", more for herself than Kyle. "Come on in." she said to Asher before turning to go into the kitchen. She searched for a vase, and after finally finding one, she filled it up and stuck the flowers in.

Meanwhile, Kyle stuck out his hand and said bluntly, "It's nice to meet you Asher. Keep you're pants zipped, and you'll be alright." He, of course, had no clue about Morgan's pregnancy yet, let alone the fact that she slept with plenty of boys.

"Oh, that's good. I was worried you'd stick to your word regardless of where they came from," Asher said. And he was relieved; he had believed her when she'd said she'd not let him take her out. He then turned to Kyle and shook his hand and said, "And you, too, Kyle." He couldn't help but smile a bit at the older brother protectiveness Kyle was displaying at that moment. He said, "Whether you believe it or not is another thing entirely, but I will say you can trust me."

Morgan hadn't heard Kyle's comment, but walked in hearing Asher saying that he could be trusted. She raised an eyebrow, wondering what had made him assure Kyle. "Okay, let's go." Morgan said, waving good-bye to her brother and pulling Asher out the door.

"Okay," Asher said, following Morgan out, offering a tentative wave to Kyle before shutting the door. He lead her to his car, opening her door for her, before getting in to head to the restaurant. He smiled and said, "Your brother both looks and seems the army type, in just a few seconds."

Morgan smiled and laughed before saying, "Yeah, but whatever he said was probably in a joking manner. He's protective, but he's just as sweet as Cody." After buckling her seatbelt, she said, "I'm really excited, you know. I haven't gone out to dinner with a friend in forever."

"I'm sure he was. He seems nice. Besides, it's okay. Even I'm prone to be protective of Sam, even though I know she'd never get into anything like that against her own will," Asher said, starting up the car, easing it out of the street. It wasn't too far to the one that was mentioned to him, so long as he found it alright. He smiled at what she said, but it wasn't nearly wide enough to reflect how happy he was on the inside. "I'm glad. Me, too. And, well, especially me, since it is my first time out to dinner with a friend. Hopefully you'll have fun, anyway."

"Don't worry, I know I'll have fun. Kyle's picking up Cody, Dad won't be home for a while, and Janet went on a cruise with some of her snobby friends. I have nothing to worry about. I hope you have fun, too." Morgan said, smiling broadly. She looked over at Asher and studied his face. "You know, it's kind of surprising that you've never had a girlfriend."

"Oh, well great timing for going out, then," Asher said with a smile, then keeping quiet for a moment while he made sure he took the right turning. "I always have fun when I'm with you Morgan. I don't really know what it is, why I don't mind talking to you but want to stay away from everybody else, but I really like just being around you." His expression changed to one of curiosity at her last comment. "What makes you say that?" he asked her.

"I don't know. It just seems like you'd be one of those guys that every girl thinks is perfect and wants to date forever and ever." Morgan explained, shrugging. "I'm not sure why I think that, but that's the kind of vibe I get from you, I guess." she added, chuckling lightly.

Asher laughed a bit and said, "Perfect? Hardly. I mean, I never talk to anybody, and I don't think I have anything particularly attractive about me." He couldn't help but smile, though, at what she'd said. "Still, maybe one day there will be a girl who can like me for all that I am and thinks I'm perfect. I hope so; I've realised how much I hated being alone now that I actually have somebody to spend time with."

Morgan kept her opinions about his attractiveness to herself, but said, "Some girls tend to go for the mysterious type." She smiled and said, "I'm sure you'll find the girl that thinks your perfect."

Morgan paused for a moment to think, but said, "I'm not really sure. Usually I prefer bad boys, obviously. But, there have been exceptions." After thinking for another second, she asked Asher, "What about you? What kind of girl is your type?"

"Bad boys.." Asher repeated softly, making no further comment on that matter. He then replied to her question. "Well, to be honest, I'm not the best at observing different types of people to an extent. I think just somebody creative. Otherwise, I don't know. I wouldn't mind being adventurous," he chuckled, turning one last time and smiling with relief that he'd managed to find the restaurant okay.

"I hope so, anyway. That's the common opinion, I've heard," Asher said. He unclipped his seatbelt and got out. Ever the gentleman, he opened Morgan's door for her and let her step out. It was the first time he'd really looked at her that evening. He hadn't said anything other than that she looked nice, but really he thought she was very pretty indeed. Beautiful, even.

"Thanks." Morgan said, smiling as she got out of the car. Just like in the house, she had to remind herslf that Asher was just a friend, no matter how much the button-up and tie made her want him. "Shall we go in?" she asked, really wanting to get inside as soon as possible.

"Sure," Asher said, leading the way into the restaurant. The waitress at the front of house smiled at them as they came in, and Asher told her that he had a reservation. She saw him down in the name of 'Scott' and then ticked them off before showing them to a table. It was nice in the restaurant. It felt remotely oriental, and at least had a few people there, so there was a nice enough atmosphere. They sat at the table and were left to take a look through the menu and such.
