Asher nodded at her points, listening to them all carefully. "So-- this is as long as you don't mind me asking-- if your idea of a perfect guy is like that, why did you go for guys like Riley? He doesn't seem like the dedicated, faithful, loving you for your whole being kind of person, from my experience anyway." He wondered if she had ever met a guy whom she thought was potentially perfect, but he wasn't sure whether he should ask her or not.

I have to say, even I was surprised at how I did. I mean, I beat the Grade 8 flutist who is Mr. Carey's favourite xD

I was really annoyed at the time, but it was great to see his face afterwards :)

No, but it's like a dance, right? I have my prom in July next year, but that's all we get.

Morgan sighed. She knew this question would come up eventually. "I'm not exactly sure. When your 'in love', you don't seem to notice flaws, as obvious as they may be. But the one good thing about Riley was that he played guitar and sang to me a lot. And it kind of made me fall for him. Face first. At first, it was just a sexual kind of thing, but then it became something more than that, for me anyways. So we were kind dating, I guess you could say, but it was never made official, so that was his excuse for the other woman." She explained, leaving a couple of minor details out.

Yeah, it's like a dance. It stinks that you only get a prom, though. I'm super excited for Homecoming.

Morgan surprised him a bit by what she'd said about how she felt about Riley, since he only knew the one side to him-- the one he didn't like. She'd never delved into details about their relationship before-- and apparently with good reason, after what he did to her. He sighed and said, "I'm sorry about that." That was all he felt he could say. She deserved to be treated better than that. "And I'm sorry I asked, too. I just have really no idea of what it must be like."

So I'm guessing a guy asked you to it? :)

Morgan half-smiled, trying to stay positive. "Yeah, only the girls see that side." she murmured ruefully. She looked up and into Asher's grey eyes and said, "It's fine. It's not like it's your fault I always make bad decisions." After staying quiet for a moment, Morgan asked, "Do you think we could go back to your house? I kind of want to meet your family before I get fat."

Yeah :)

He was standing at my locker with a flower and straight up asked, "Beth, will you be my date for Homecoming?" :)

"You weren't to know he would do that to you, it wasn't your fault either," Asher told her, holding her gaze for a moment when she looked at him, just to let her know that he was completely serious about that. He nodded then, at her question and said, "If you're ready for the interrogation and the assumptions, then, of course." He chuckled a bit and started leading her in the direction to his house. "I mean, they're all going to be wondering what makes you so different and so special that I actually speak to you."

Aw, that's really cute :)

I somehow am not sure that I'll be asked to the prom by a guy, that it'll just be me and my equally dateless friends.

Morgan grinned. "I don't mind at all. In case you haven't noticed, I'm pretty good at charming any adult besides my own father. And I think of questions to ask them, too. But, let's just keep the whole me-being-a-whxre thing on the D.L. for now." She looked down, examining her outfit. "I guess I look okay." Morgan said, deciding she didn't look too whxre-like.

That's okay :)

I'm sure it'd be just as fun with friends :)

Asher smiled at her optimism instead and said, "Well, if you can deal with me, and your dad, you can deal with most people, I guarantee it. And I never planned on mentioning anything about what's going on in your life right now. And I don't think you're a whore at all, Morgan." He looked down at her and told her, "You look just fine. They'll like you. They'll like anyone who puts up with me, especially because you're such a nice person." It took about ten minutes more, and then they arrived, he let her in first.

Yeah, it will be. Besides, I might be part of the prom band, anyway.

Morgan entered the house, murmuring a ''Thanks'' to Asher. She looked around at the home, and smiled. It seemed so...cozy. Almost like you could feel the family. She breathed in deeply and said, "You're house smells nice."

So sorry for my failure post.

I'll be back in about an hour, I need to eat breakfast.

Oh really? Do you have to audition for it?

"You're welcome," Asher replied, stepping in behind her and shutting the front door. He took off his coat and offered to take hers, as well. He chuckled and said, "I'm glad you like it. My parents are trying to fill the house with the scent of Montana, I think. They miss the environment more than they thought they would. It's a little difficult to recreate the feel of a wooden house cabin in the mountains, but they are trying their best." He lead her through to the living room. His sister had heard him talking to someone downstairs and had rushed down to see who it was.

Sam looked like him. She had almost exactly the same colour hair and facial features as he did, in a feminine sort of way, of course. Except that she had hazel eyes as opposed to his blue-grey ones. His eyes were a mystery to everyone.

"Hey Sam," he said, a bit more enthusiastic lately in all aspects of his life.

"Hey, Asher," she replied, and said nothing else, apparently awaiting the big introduction-- though she knew exactly who this was.

"Sam, this is my friend, Morgan. Morgan, my sister, Sam."

Oh, no prob :)

See you then.

No, not really. We usually get asked :)

Morgan smiled at Sam with immense charm. "Hi there." she said, sweetly. "It's nice to meet you." She took off her coat and handed it to Asher. "Thanks." she said. "How are you?" Morgan asked Sam.

Asher hung up Morgan's coat while she and Sam got to know each other.

Sam smiled and said, "It's nice to meet you, too. I'm great, actually; thanks for asking. How about yourself?"

Asher smiled a bit as he heard them talking. Sam was his twin sister, the two of them like ying and yang; he was unnaturally quiet, she was very outgoing. But despite their many differences, they were both nice people, looked very alike, and were similar in many other ways, and Sam was the only person before Morgan that he had felt comfortable confiding in.

I meant to tell you I bought Defying Gravity sheet music for piano. I want to die right now, I just looked at the next page I'm going to play and it's about grade 7 standard, but I'm getting there xD

I just thought you may like to know that I have it :)

"I'm peachy." Morgan lied, though the lie wouldn't have been seen by anybody, except maybe Asher. "You have such a nice home." Morgan complimented. It wasn't a lie. Morgan couldn't get over how homey the place was. She tucked her curly bangs behind her ear and looked at a family photo on the wall. She smiled. There definately weren't very many family photos at her house.

-wow I'm such a fail.-

Oh my gosh :)

That's awesome!

A challenge is always good, though.

Asher thought about Morgan saying she was feeling fine. He saw past it, but in a way he almost wished he hadn't, so that he could finally be at ease and happy because she appeared to like his company. He hadn't thought that in a way that meant it was spiteful towards her, that he felt like she should be happy right now, but it was more a case of that he really had no idea what else he could do to make her feel happy. But that wasn't really anything new.

Sam smiled and said, "I'm glad you like it. I'm pretty sure we'd all hope you would, so you'd come around often."

Asher, who was stood behind Morgan, and therefore facing Sam, made a subtle face at her, while a slight pink tint came to his cheeks at the same time, to try and get across that nobody wanted to end up scaring Morgan away with those kinds of comments.

I thought you might like that :)

Yeah. I've been pretty bored lately because even Alicia Keys got too easy so I was stuck for something decent to play that also made me better. This is definitely the piece, albeit harder than intended; but there's nothing wrong with that. Plus, it's fun to sing along to =D

Morgan looked over her shoulder, first to Asher and his tinted cheeks, then over at his sister. "Well I'm glad that I'm welcome here. From what Asher's told me, you all seem like such fantastic people." She gave Sam a smile. She looked back over at Asher, wondering why his cheeks were so red. Was Sam embarassing him?

Sam wondered whether Asher really had been talking about them. Well, she imagined that she had been mentioned, but their parents..? She wasn't sure. Still, she couldn't help but like Morgan, she was definitely charming. Sam gave Asher a slightly apologetic look for seeming to imply more than she had meant when she said that Asher would like for Morgan to be here often. She just knew he was happy with her, that he had a friend.

"Well, maybe you should stay for dinner sometime. I know Asher's taking you out for his birthday, but some other time, perhaps," Sam said.

"Thanks. That'd be great. My dad's on business trips a lot, so we don't have family dinners very often." Morgan lied, yet again. Okay, half-lied. It was true that they didn't have many family dinners. She hoped Asher wouldn't say anythng, but she wasn't too worried, considering he was the first person she's trusted in a long time. "Some other time I'll definately stay for dinner." she reassured Sam.

Asher didn't even show any sign whatsoever that he knew better than what Sam believed. He would never tell anyone anything about what Morgan had told him, he knew that much. She trusted him enough to tell him that, and she should be able to. For the first time in a while, he smiled and said something, "We'd all like that a lot."

Sam smiled and asked, "So did you finally decide where you guys are actually going for dinner?" She knew Asher hadn't made up his mind this morning.

"Yes, we're going for Chinese. I think," he said, chuckling, and then continued, directed at Morgan, "As long as you're still okay with that, of course."

"I told you, I'm fine with Chinese." Morgan insisted. "I'm not going to change my mind. And anyways, it's your birthday. It doesn't matter what I think." She flashed Asher another one of her charming smiles, and looked around the living room some more. Morgan couldn't get over the feeling of the room. She sighed a content sigh and, after a few moments, playfully asked Sam, "So, what's it like living with Asher? Is he secretly a slob?"

"Just checking," Asher said, smiling widely at her. Sam seemed surprised. He rarely ever smiled like that. "But it does matter what you think, on the contrary. If I take you some place you'll hate you'll never want to see me again," he chuckled.

When Morgan asked her about Asher, she laughed a little, "Well, he's not the kind of guy who throws stuff all over his floor, particularly clothes and food. His room would be really clean if it weren't for the infinite mountains of paper and boxes of paint. So, no, not a slob, but not organised or tidy by any means," she replied, winking at her brother, at which he smiled, because it was definitely true.

Morgan smiled. "His room sounds like heaven." she commented, a bit playfully, and a bit seriously. "I love anything to do with art. It's probably the reason why Asher and I even began talking in the first place." She looked back over at Asher and said, jokingly, "I feel like it's going to be a lot harder to find dirt on you than I thought it would be."
