Oh, wow. Sounds like hard work. Is it like musical theatre dance? In which case, that's fun :)

"Yeah, but I invited you, and it's polite. And you don't have to get me anything, Morgan, it's not fair since you've only known me since Saturday," Asher replied with a small shrug. He couldn't help but notice the slight shade of pink her face had turned, and he had to stop himself from smiling more than he should so as not let on that it wasn't just a casual expression. He got out of the car as well and made his way around to the other side, as the coffee shop was closer to that side of the car.

It's kind of like musical theatre dance. But it's show choir. It was really fun, though :) Tommorrow we start a pasedoble (Which I always fail to spell correctly. Haha)

Morgan just rolled her eyes, her face turning back to it's normal pale shade. "Asher, I don't care if I just met you Saturday. You already know more about me than most people have known in years. I'm getting you a gift. And if you get me one, I'll leave." she said, theateninly. She locked the car door and rushed to the coffee shop doors, eager to be warm again.

Sounds like a lot of fun to me. Not that I would have been capable today. I randomly felt really under the weather.

Never mind, it's getting better.

Pasodoble? (Don't know how to spell it either xD) Like, the Latin dance?

"Why do flowers count as a gift?" Asher asked, chuckling, apparently amused by that. He followed in behind her, welcoming the warmth inside. "Would you really leave?" he asked, her, a little more seriously, curiously, really.

Awh, I hope you feel better :)

Yeah, the latin dance :) I'm pumped. It's to "Man of La Mancha"

I really hope I'm not an alternate for it.

"Because, they just do." Morgan said, getting a little frustrated. She slid into the booth closest to the door, wanting to warm up a bit before getting her coffee. "Yes. I really would leave." Morgan said, completely serious. And she would. Morgan was not the type of girl to break a promise. Or in this case- a threat.

Thanks. I slept then watched Matilda and an episode of Mr. Bean. It's impossible not to feel a bit better after all that :)

That sounds awesome to me. We never have anything like that around here. D:

Asher sat down and pursed his lips slightly, apparently troubled by something. "I'm sorry if my trying to be polite offends you," he said, a little frustrated himself. "I have no idea what I should do when I go out to dinner with a friend. Or go anywhere or do anything with somebody who isn't my family. So, can you just, try to be a little less frustrated with me? I'm just trying to be nice, when I don't really know how."

Morgan's eyes widened. She didn't mean to upset Asher. "I'm sorry- I'm just a little defensive and I'm just not used to that kind of thing. Politeness and all, I mean." She looked down and the table and bit her lip, not sure if she should say anything.

"I know, I know," Asher replied. He looked up at her now and gave her a reassuring smile, to let her know she hadn't hurt him. "And, I shouldn't have said that in that way, it wasn't fair, I'm sorry. It just frustrates me that I'm so.. Socially awkward, now that I've met somebody as great as you. And I took it out on you, when it's my fault."

Morgan remained silent for a moment. "It's not your fault. I'm not used to sensitive and understanding guys like you. It's my fault, too." she looked up and gave Asher a half hearted smile. Her mind was starting to wander on other things. Like whether or not she should tell Asher her biggest secret now, or if she should wait a while.

"Well, that's okay, too, and not really your fault either," Asher replied. "We're cool, okay? I'm just happy to be here right now." He drummed his fingers on the table quietly for a moment when they fell silent. He wanted to say something, he just had no idea what.

Morgan stood, mumbling something about getting coffee now. She walked over to the counter and ordered a chai tea latte. The man handed the steaming styrofoam cup to Morgan. She paid and walked back over to the table. After sitting down, Morgan closed her eyes and took a sip of the tea. Mmmm...soothing.

Asher was still deciding what to have when Morgan got up. He bit his bottom lip slightly as she walked away, and he felt bad for what he'd said again. When she got back, he went to ask for a mocha with a small shot of expresso. He liked strong coffee, it turned out. He returned to the table and took a sip, it was good to get something hot to drink again. So hot, in fact, he took off his coat and pushed up the sleeves of his sweater.

Morgan set her tea down and took off her coat. She picked the cup up again, and took another sip. She was still lost in her own thoughts, and was starting to forget Asher was sitting with her. It's not like she was upset with him or anything, she was just deep in thought.

Asher took another sip of his coffee, then looked up. He saw that Morgan was, in fact, a little lost in her own thoughts. He hated when people disturbed him from that state sometimes, so he figured he'd leave her until she was done. He smiled slightly to himself, idly sipping coffee and thinking about the evening once again.

Morgan looked up at Asher and said softly, "Asher, I think there's something I should tell you." She took another sip of tea, and looked around nervously, not really wanting anyone to hear what she was about to say.

"I-I'm...p-" she started to say, but was cut off by the door opening and Riley walking in. She looked up and immeadiately stopped talking.

Riley glared at Asher, but spoke to Morgan. "I figured I'd find you here."

"Riley, it's my favorite coffee place-- where else would you find me?" Morgan said, annoyed.

"I can't believe you're still with this loser." Riley said, chuckling as he pointed to Asher.

"You know, pointing is rude. So are you." Morgan said, standing up, "I'm so sick and tired of you and all of your stupidity. Am I not allowed to have friends? I know when it was just us, I didn't want any, but now, we're over. And I'll do what I want, thanks. You don't own me."

Riley stood there, staring. Morgan had never talked to him that way. He opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out.

Asher watched as Morgan and Riley argued, a slight frown on his face. He looked at Riley and said to him, "What are you doing here? I don't know what your problem is with me. She's not your girl, but you don't have to worry because she's not mine either." He pushed his coffee cup aside. "And she doesn't want you here, can't you get that into your head?"

Riley glared at Asher, "No one fxcking asked you."

Morgan looked down at Asher and then back up at Riley. She had a feeling that Asher would feel the need to defend her soon, so she took a deep breath and blurt, "Riley, I'm pregnant. With your child. And if you don't want me to call the police and say it's a rape baby, then you should leave. Now."

Riley looked back to Morgan with wide eyes, "A-are you serious? But we used condoms!"

"I'm completely serious." Morgan said, ashamed.

"Good luck raising it." Riley said, walking out the door.

Morgan sat back in her seat and put her head on the table, willing the tears not to come out.

Asher was just as surprised as Riley was when Morgan said what she'd been planning to tell him before. He hadn't expected that at all, of all the things she could have told him. When Riley left and he'd finished getting over to it he got up and sat down on the other side of the table next to her. He honestly had no idea what to say that could possibly help. He couldn't believe Riley would just leave like that, that he was prepared to leave Morgan on her own to cope with being pregnant with his baby. He gingerly put a hand on her back. "Morgan, I.. If you ever need anything, while you're going through this, I don't care what it is, whether you just need someone to be there or to talk to, or whether you need.. Well, like I said, anything.. I'll be here. This, it doesn't change anything about the fact that we're friends.."

Morgan's voice shook as she looked up at Asher and said, "You don't have to do that. It's my fault, and you don't need to get into this at all. I'm already screwed, and I don't think people would think very highly of you if you started hanging around the pregnant seventeen year old. Especially your family."
