"Hey, you caught the first two words. That's good enough for me," Asher chuckled, smiling at her. "It's a hard sentence for someone who doesn't take French. Actually, it's hard for people who do take French. About four years to get to that based on the school system."

"Deseo que pueda hablar francés en vez de inglés." Morgan said quickly. "See? I can say it in English. I just think French is a prettier language." She thought for a moment, then added, "Porque es más fácil de seducir a personas cuando el idioma es bonito."

"I don't know. I kind of like Spanish, too, actually. I just can't speak it," Asher chuckled. He could, however, pick up a few words that sounded similar to either French or English. 'Fácil', like 'Facille', 'Easy'. 'Cuando', like 'Quand' 'When'. Still, it wasn't enough. "Would you tell me what that second sentence was, please?"

"Fine, I'll try and figure it out, then," Asher replied, chuckling, going over in his head what she'd said as he walked along. "I will have fun in French, now that I have something to do. Thank you," he smirked back at her, and watched her skip away from him.

"Good luck!" Morgan called back to him over her shoulder. She sat under the same tree that Asher had been a few minutes ago. Opening her sketch book, she started sketching whatever came to her mind. At first, they were just doodles. Then, they transformed into beautiful flowers popping out of the snow. She couldn't wait until spring.

Riley sat in French class, bored out of his mind. He saw Morgan outside the classroom talking to that new guy. Since when was he in this class? Oh well, Riley was ready to do some verbal abuse to this guy's self esteem.

Asher smiled and waved goodbye to her, waiting until she'd disappeared down the hallway before going into the classroom. The whole time, he'd been trying to work out the important verbs and adjectives in Morgan's Spanish sentence. 'Seducir', well, that was easy. 'Porque' seemed similar to 'Parce que', and was being used in the same context, so there appeared 'Because'. 'Idioma' was the word that was throwing him off. He had the rest now. He sat contemplating that while their teacher began talking to the class.

He never really noticed Riley in his class, too deep in thought. Plus, he never paid much attention to his classmates anyway.

Morgan continued to doodle, not aware of really anything around her. This was the first time since the beginning of the day that she wasn't thinking about that dinner with Asher.

Riley wrote on a scrap of paper, You know she's using you, right? and threw it on to Asher's seat, which was (convieniantly) right next to his. As he waited for a reaction, Riley pretended to be paying attention to whatever the teacher was saying.

Asher wrote down his findings on a leaf of his notebook. Eventually, he smiled as he figured out what shemust have said. Scribbled on his page was, "Because it's easier to seduce someone when it's with a nice language." He then noticed something land on his desk, and picked up the piece of paper. Looking up, he was surprised to see that guy who'd been trying to talk to Morgan earlier and had left her upset. He read it and then wrote back, What makes you say that?.

It's what she does with every guy. Reels them in, bangs them, and leaves them, acting like nothing ever happened. You didn't know that?, Riley scribbled his response and tossed it back over to Asher.

Morgan stood up and wandered around outside, looking for some sort of inspiration. Or maybe, she decided, she should study for the Pre- Calc test next period. Morgan skipped back to her locker and pulled out the heavy book. After shutting her locker, she just sat in the middle of the hallway and opened the worn cover of the textbook.

Asher picked up the note. He wasn't really sure what to believe. Clearly, by the way Morgan had reacted, this guy wasn't exactly the nicest. But, at the same time, Morgan had mentioned she had a reputation among people-- but then, she also said a lot of it wasn't as bad as people made it out to be. She may have mentioned that people know her for that kind of thing. Whether I believe it coming from you is another thing. You seemed to have upset her when you tried to talk to her today-- I get the impression she didn't want to. Are you jealous?

Besides, if you are genuinely worried about me-- which I seriously doubt--, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. I'm not interested in getting into Morgan's pants. She's just a friend to me, he wrote in reply, throwing it back to Riley.

Riley scanned the note. This guy was starting to frustrate him. How could he not want to get into Morgan's pants? Every other guy did. Why would I be jealous? I've already been in her pants. A lot. Last week was just rough for us. Soon enough she'll drop you and come back to me.

Morgan studied some more.

Haha, I faillll.

Because she's talking to me and not you, is why you might be. And, fine, if she wants to do that, then it'll just be like it was before. I'm not used to having friends, you know. So I can do without, as much as I like Morgan, Asher wrote in reply. Of course, he was putting across the friendly kind of 'like'. He really had no idea how he actually felt about Morgan.

Naw, I understand :)

As a friend, Asher wrote, trying to make that clear. I know she'd never go for me, so even if I did like her in that way, I wouldn't do anything about it. And he honestly was afraid of that. He never wanted to have feelings for her, when he thought that she wasn't into a guy like him or the kind of relationship he'd give. He added, just to have a stab at Riley and frustrate him, But you must be perfect for each other, you're getting along really well at the moment, I can tell.

The bell rang, and Riley crumpled the note, pxssed at the fact that Asher hadn't cared the slightest bit about what he'd said. He stormed out of the room and down the hall. He saw Morgan sitting and stood above her. "Alright, bxtch, what kind of games are you playing?"

Morgan looked up at Riley, a bit confused, "What games?"

"Don't tell me that you don't want in Asher's pants."

"But I don't." Morgan said, shrugging. "At first I did, I'll admitt, but we're just friends."

Well, at least he'd seemed like he didn't care at all to Riley. Asher didn't want to be beaten by a guy like him. He had been worried, after reading Riley's note, that maybe Morgan was using him-- he just didn't show it in hir responses. But, if she was, he would find out, and she wouldn't get what she wanted from him anyway. That wasn't to say it wouldn't hurt that she would do that to him, though. He would have to be positive and sort of think, 'Oh well, at least somebody ever wanted me for that. It's a first.'

He didn't want to believe it, and he didn't, for the most part, coming from Riley. He honestly thought he was jealous because Morgan was ignoring him, and instead talking to a guy who was completely unpopular and perhaps a little bit weird. He spotted him and Morgan by the same tree he'd been sat at during his free period, and just strolled over casually, to wait for Morgan.

Out of the corner of her eye, Morgan saw Asher waiting. "Bye Riley." Morgan said, rolling her eyes as she stood and walked over to Asher. "Hey." she said quietly, once she got over to him.

Riley stood and watched Morgan walk away.

Wow, fail.

"Hey," Asher said, risking a glance at Riley, who was still watching. "Can we just walk, like right now?" he asked her. He started to take a few steps, and when they were away from Riley, he seemed to relax a little bit. He said, "He's in my French class. I had no idea. He's trying to scare me away from seeing you."

Morgan raised an eyebrow. "Oh really?" she said as she followed behind Asher. "What exactly did he say?"

Riley glared at Asher as he watched Morgan leave with him. He might actually have a chance with her, if Asher did start liking Morgan. And that scared him.
