"Oh, because **** and physical abuse are so easy to move on from," Sinead retorted. "Especially when I have to go to court and stand up in front of everybody and tell every single detail about what's been going on for the past few years. I have to live with it every day. Girls my age are supposed to have fathers who love them and care for them, not fathers who get them knocked up! You just don't get it. And I hate it when you call me princess. I'm not some spoiled brat who has everything handed to me on a silver platter. I have to work hard to get through every day." She went through the door, not even bothering with the glass of water. "I should have known not to come here looking for anything more than being laughed at!"

Alexander groaned and followed her. "Sinead. I'm sorry. You know I didn't mean it like that. Come back here. I'm an *****. I'm sorry. Don't go

. I'm sorry. I'm an *****. I'm a complete a**hole." He couldn't believe that they were really doing this in the middle of the hallway. "Can we please not cause a scene?" he grabbed her good arm to turn her around and stop her from walking away.

"Yes you DO mean it like that," she retorted, turning to him with tears in her eyes. "You never get emotionally attached, so you can't understand what people are feeling, so they can't hurt you, or leave you. I know what that's like. But sometimes you have to be empathetic to other people, and you just can't seem to do that! I realize it was stupid for me to come here looking for comfort when you obviously have none to give. I'm sorry for wasting your time." She turned and headed down the stairs as fast as she could, wanting to get away from him.

"You're right, I don't. I don't want to get attached to anything here. I don't want anything tying me down. I leave in a couple of months and I don't want to have anything holding me back." He followed her angrily, only a few paces behind her. "I try!" He snapped. "I try to be empathetic and comforting but I'm sorry thats not my strong suit. And what's a waste of time is this bull***t. I really don't understand why we always need to end everything in a fight. Why do you always end up leaving in an argument?"

"You know, the least you could do is not make fun of me when all I want is a friend to talk to!" She spun on her heel and glared at him. "Because I don't want to say or do anything I could regret later. That's why I leave. Because some words can never be taken back. The things people do, they can't be undone. And as much as you think I hate you and my mission is to make your life a living hell, I don't want to hurt you, all right!?" Now she was really crying, her face getting blotchy and tears spilling down her cheeks.

"I wasn't making fun of you." Alexander didn't say another word. He simply stared back at her for a moment. He didn't really have any more words to say. He had a whole spew of emotion and thoughts racing through him and he wasn't to sure which one was the right one. He then, out of the blue, simply moved closer to her. He stared down at her for a second before leaning down and pressing his lips to hers. He wrapped his arms around her as he kissed her. He then pulled back and simply waited for her reaction, still not entirely sure of what he'd done himself.

Sinead nearly flinched when he moved closer to her, afraid that he was going to try and hurt her. But then he was kissing her, and a million thoughts started racing through her head. And oh how she wanted to kiss him back, and he was an amazing kisser. Wait, it was wrong, this was wrong, they were wrong. Were they? Was it wrong? What was she doing? Were her eyes open? Oh man, she was trembling violently. No, she couldn't give in, she couldn't do this. When he pulled away, she stared up at him, the shock evident on her face. "I... Alexander... I... I need to go..." She moved to take a step back, tripping over herself and landing on her rear end.

"That went better than expected, I was actually expecting to get pucnched in the face." Alexander mumbled under his breath. He offered her a hand, "Don't fall down the stairs, that would... hurt." He warned her forcing a smile. He had no idea what had just happened. He knew that he kissed her, but he had no idea why or what came over him. He had no idea what to think of this whole situation. He stared blankly ahead of him, trying to avoid meeting her eyes. He probably wouldn't remember any of this in the morning and he had no idea what she would say or do after having an entire night to think about it because he could tell she was still a bit in shock.

Sinead wanted to kiss him. She wanted to kiss him like she had never kissed anyone before. But how was she supposed to do that without making it obvious that maybe she liked him a lot more than she let on. "D*mmit Alexander," she murmured, shaking her head and smiling at him before getting on her tiptoes and kissing him passionately, her good hand entwining in his hair, not even minding the smell or taste of the alcohol. She was going to regret this tomorrow.

Alexander couldn't help but smile a bit when she cussed at him. She was so cute when she swore at him. This time, he was the one taken aback by her kissing him. Once he regained himself he returned her kiss. He wrapped his arms back around her and lifted her off the ground a bit so she didn't have to stretch up in order to reach him. He tried his best to keep his cool and not let on just quite how much he was enjoying this.

Sinead kissed him hungrily, not hiding the fact that she was enjoying it quite a lot. More than she probably should have, anyway. She figured that tomorrow he'd be clueless, and it would be uncomfortable, but for right now, she didn't give two craps about it. She pulled back slightly, breathing softly against his lips, then moving her lips up and down his jawline, pressing herself closer to him. She didn't say anything after that, and moved so she could look up at him, trying to read what he was thinking-- if he was thinking at all.

-He's not ;)

"You're actually quite good at that. " Alexander murmered softly. He gently lowered her down to the floor again. He had no idea what to make of what had just happened, at this point he was blaming it on the alcohol because that is always better than simply being able to face any real truth. He looked down at her, his eyes meeting hers. He couldn't help but wonder what she was thinking. He didn't say a word, not having any good ones to say. He was tooo busy trying to figure out what was going on between them.

XD Knew it.

"Thanks," she breathed, blushing with embarrassment and looking away. What had she just done. Tomorrow was definitely going to be a weird day. She ran her fingers through her short hair and said, "Um... well... I... wow, I'm being quite inarticulate. Ahem... I think I should go back to the hotel now. So... yes. Goodbye." She started walking down the stairs, mentally facepalming. Ughhhhhhh. She had gone all weak kneed and googly eyes over a dumb drunk boy. Maybe she wasn't as smart as she had thought before.

XD

Alexander stood at the top of the stairs, he was still slightly in shock from what had just happened. "Uh, yeah..." Was all he managed to muster up in response. "Bye." He felt extremely confused by what had occured between them, he didn't know what to make of it. He had no idea why he had even kissed her in the first place. But then she had kissed him, which made him even more confused. But she didn't even like him, and he barely tolerated her. Right? Ughhh. Why was he over thinking this so much, it was nothing, right, just something they'd forget by the morning, it meant nothing. Right?

Sinead rushed back to the hotel as fast as her legs would take her, her head throbbing from thinking too much-- or maybe it was the painkillers wearing off. She'd have to take a couple if she wanted to get some sleep. She knew if she didn't, she would be up all night thinking about Alexander, which would not be conducive to figuring it out. Why had he felt the urge to kiss her? Why had she kissed him back? Honestly, she couldn't be quite sure. She'd always thought he was good looking-- shaggy hair, pierced lip, smoldering eyes-- great, there was one big part of it. But then again... the way he made her angry, the way he teased her all the time... even the way he called her princess... she liked it. A lot.

Alexander watched her leave. His feet not allowing him to move from where they were planted after she was gone for at least a few minutes he managed to drag himself back up to his apartment. He couldn't stop thinking about what they had just done. He hated her right? Even just the way she talked was annoying and she wasn't exacty the most pleasant person to be around. But even though he wouldn't admit it he loved it. The way she cut her hair, the way she would always get mad at him. The face she made when she was mad at him. Ughhh, what had he gotten himself into. He sunk down onto his bed and pulled his pillow over his face.

When Sinead finally got back to her hotel room, she carefully situated herself on her bed, sighing loudly. If he hadn't kissed her, she wouldn't be feeling this way about him. Right? She turned and screamed into her pillow, anger and frustration making their way to the front of her mind. She really just wanted to slap him upside the face... but then she really wanted to push him against a wall and kiss him like there was no tomorrow. What was she thinking!? She liked nice, clean cut young men. Why was she so attracted to this... jerk?

None of this made any sense. They didn't like eachother, quite the opposite actually. Then why did that kiss say something else. He couldn't understand where their chemestry had come from, and why had he wanted to kiss her, and why did he still wnat to. She definitely wasn't his type, far from it. But he still wnated to kiss her again, and part of him even wanted to attempt at finding her hotel and running over their just to do it again. What the hell had gotten into him. "F*ck."

Timeskip soon??

Yup!

At school the next day, Sinead kept mostly to herself, but had worn a nicer outfit, because one of her neighbors had brought some of her clothes from the house. She had done her hair and makeup, deciding to make herself look good seeing as her dad wouldn't be around to hit on her or anything. People weren't quite sure what to make of how she looked; she was actually very pretty. The rumors and name calling had become more quiet, thankfully.

Alexander contemplated not even going to school at all. He had gotten very little sleep the night before and woke up with a massive headache and felt extremely sick. But he figured if he didn't show up at all it would probably make any rumours and what not worse. He tried to avoid as many people as possible. He didn't feel like having to really talk to anyone. He didn't remember much of what happened the previous night, but simply knew he felt like crap and didn't feel like having to deal with anyone. He did however notice Sinead's change in appearance and couldn't help but wonder what had inspired it.
