Sinead looked up at him with surprise. He was apologizing to her, and he actually meant it. He was being kind to her, genuine kindness. Stopping herself from choking up, she murmured, "It's okay." And that was all she said. It was the way she said it that really meant anything. It was soft, and tender, and she knew that she really meant it. She hoisted her backpack onto her shoulder, then walked out of the room and headed down the street toward the hotel.

Alexander smirked a bit to himself at her response. He walked out to his car and climbed inside. This had been one of the longest days and definitley one of the most eventful. He could see the people at the school still talking, still whispering, always talking. That never ended in this town, it was always something. He couldn't wait until he could get out of here. All he had to do was wait until his birthday. The day he turned eightteen was the day he was officially out of foster care and the day he would get out of St.Aislin as fast as he could. He assumed that was probably why he had never tied himself down to anything or anyone here. He didn't want him having roots here that would keep him from leaving.

Sinead kept walking, trying to keep to herself. She felt like every person in the town was looking at her, speculating, gossiping about her. Even people that were driving by seemed to stare at her with looks of disgust in their eyes. When she got close to the hotel, she took a break so she could rest her shoulder and good arm. Sighing, she sat on a bench and stared at her feet. She kept thinking about what Alexander had said to her, and got frustrated with how much she cared about it.

Alexander's head hurt from all of the thinking. He coulnd't stop thinking though, he really needed something that would numb his brain out. He didn't even made it home. He just stopped at a liquor store and bought himself a few bottles of hard liquor. He went back to his car and cracked one open. He took swig after swig, gulp after gulp until it was nearly empty and his brain stopped hurting and his thoughts became... quieter. Of course though, his drinking didnt stop his thoughts for long, they came back even worse now that he was starting to become more and more intoxicated.

Sinead finally made it to the hotel room, basically collapsing on her bed with a sigh. she tried to get comfortable with her casted arm, but it was difficult to do. She sighed softly, curling up and dreading the school day that was to come. It was a very daunting thought, knowing she would have to go back to where she had become universally hated and talked about. She pushed Alexander and Sterling from her mind, not wanting to concentrate on the fight from a couple days ago.

Alexander was at a point where all stupid descions seemed like great ones. He continued to drink until he was on the second little bottle. By this point he was completely wasted and beyond the point of no return. His head started to feel funny and his thoughts tasted like peaches. He figured that he should head home. He started to drive back to his apartment again.

I Fail.

XD Maybe a little.

Sinead couldn't stay in one place for lon, and ended up walking in the direction of Alexander's place. She needed to talk to him-- or anyone, for that matter. Anyone but her mother. She honestly just wanted someone who might understand what she was saying or at least be sympathetic. She kept walking, getting somewhat tired as the walk went on. When she reached his place, she wasn't quite sure what to do.

Alexander actually used the little parking lot behind his building for once. He staggered, keys in hand, toward the front of the building. He shoved them into his pocket again realizing that he rarely actually locked the door to his apartment. He also carried the small little bag that his booze had come in. When he got upstairs to his apartment he set the bag on the kitchen counter, not planning on really drinking much more at this point. He then went straight for his bedroom. Staggering to his bed and simply collapsing on it.

Sinead walked up the stairs to Alexander's apartment, then went to his door and knocked on it a couple times. She looked around anxiously, paranoid that someone was watching her. Everyone seemed to watch her now, and she hated it with a fiery passion. "Alexander...?" She said timidly into the crack of the door. "Can I please come in?" She knocked once more, hoping she wasn't bothering him. Then again, she always seemed to bother him.

Alexander rolled over making a face. He was starting to thing he was simply hearing things now. He made a soft grumbling noise in response. he didn't eally feel like dealing with anyone now let alone any of his neighbours who decided to come knocking on his door wanting to borrow a cup of sugar in an attempt to make small talk and find out more gossip from him. He hated how it only ever seemed like people gave a sh*t about him when they wanted to find out information from him. He didn't really feel like being polite or pleasant with anyone.

Sinead gave a sigh, then banged against the door and yelled, "Alexander, I know you're in there! We need to talk, now! It's important!" She banged on the door a couple more times before fiddling with the doorknob. Nope, it was locked. Ugh. She put her ear to the door to see if he was at least moving around. Unfortunately, she really couldn't hear anything, and she sighed again, sinking down with her back against the door.

Alexander rolled off of his bed. He ran a quick hand through his hair messily before staggering towrd the door. He pulled it open. "What do you want?" He grumbled to the person on the other side. He left the door open and sunk down into the armchair. He really didn't want to deal with her anymore today, he had had enough of her and her mood swings today.

"I want to ask you a serious question. Did you, or did you not, start the rumors about... me and you." She closed the door behind her and then sat down on the couch, avoiding looking directly at him. She could smell the alcohol all over him, but she breathed through her mouth so she wouldn't have to deal with it. Her manner seemed blank, emotionless, and she simply stared down at her lap, her hands folded neatly on it.

"No. " Alexander said. "Why the hell would I do that?! I'd actually prefer if this town would stay the f*ck out of my sex life." He grumbled. He honestly wasn't sure whether to be angry or hurt that she thought he would do something like that. "I may not be exactly a model citezen but I'm not that much of a d*ck. I didn't even know about those rumours until I got to school..."

"Well I didn't say anything to anyone," she said coolly, looking over at him and mentally noticing that he looked good when his hair was messy like that. Sighing with frustration towards her own thoughts, she got to her feet and went to the kitchen. After a couple minutes of silence, she said, "I was pregnant. That part was true. And the abortion. But the baby was dead. It had to be done." She sighed softly and shook her head.

Alexander looked up from his lap. "I thought that was just another rumour..." He mumbled, " So you really were... pregnant." He couldn't believe the words coming out of his own mouth. Out of all the rumours he thought that that was probably the least factual one. He got out of his spot in the chair and leaned against the wall bye the kitchen door. He was afraid to actually go into the kitchen, afraid of being that close to her right now, he didn't trust himself to be able to look at her and still keep his cool about this.

"What do you expect? He never used... protection," she said softly, getting herself a glass of water. "I told you that you didn't know everything. Plus, who would be proud of being pregnant with their father's kid? Nobody, that's who." She sighed and sipped at the water slowly, trying to figure out the best way to word all of this so he wouldn't freak out. "I guess someone knew one of the doctors who got me through the procedure. Confidentiality my *ss..."

"Oh ew. Can we please not talk about... that." Alexander whined shaking his head trying to get the horrid mental images out of it. He cringed slightly. "Hey, it's, okay... It's nothing personal, just how this town is. Nobody knows how to keep their mouth shut." He shrugged slghtly. He couldn't imagine, nor did he want to, being in her position and going through what she did.

"I hate this place. I can't wait until graduation day, so I can get the hell out of here," Sinead said softly, staring into the cup that she held, glaring. "I'll go back to Europe and start a new life for myself. I don't want to be tied down here anymore. Not physically, not emotionally." She dumped the water in the sink, then slowly moved past Alexander and sat down on the couch. "I hate my life here. I hate everything."

"Sweetie, you are preaching to the choir. I can't wait until my birthday... I feel the same way. I make sure not to tie myself down here, I don't need anything else keeping me here longer than I need to be. " He watched as she walked back into the living room again, his eyes following her. "The onl reason I'm still here now is because of the whole legality of the issue. " Technically he was still a minor and under the care of his foster mother, the fact that he only saw her when they had mandatory meeting with his social worker didn't matter. He had to wait until he was officially an adult to go anywhere.
