"Didn't anyone ever tell you not to open the door if you don't know who it is?" Alexander said, his fist shooting out and clocking the other man in the upper jaw. He had hit him upong instinct and it wasn't his first time hitting anyone. He had been in more than his fair share of scraps in his life. Growing up the way he had it just became a part of your life, he knew how to fight and he wasn't that bad, he knew not only how to hit but also how to take one. He knew sinead would be mad at him for not listening to her but just the sheer satisfaction of hitting the other man made it pretty much worth it and besides, the way he saw it he had it coming and was getting what he deserved.

Mr. Whelan fell backwards with a loud crash, knocking over a vase and sending it to the ground. Obviously, it shattered, sending bits of porcelain all over the floor. Hearing the noise, Sinead darted out from the kitchen, definitely looking worse for wear. Her nose was a little bit bloody at this point, but she took a tissue and dabbed it away. "Alexander, what the f*ck!?" She exclaimed, running and kneeling by her father. "I told you to get out of here!" She reached for her father, to try and pull him away, but he got to his feet and shoved her to the floor. "Get down you b*tch. I'll deal with you later." He then pushed Alexander backwards as forcefull as he could.

Alexander couldn't really care less about what anyone said to or about him, but he wasn't about to let anyone speak to her that way. Alexander sauntered back a bit at the shove he'd recieved. "You do not speak to people like that. Especially not your child you arrogant a**hole." Alexander said stabling himself again enough to toss out another, admittedly much crappier hit. The man in front of him disgusted him.

"Stop! Stop fighting!" Sinead pleaded, running up behind her father, trying desperately to calm him down. "Dad, please, get inside, I can take care of this. Dad, please, the neighbors will see!" She tugged at his suit, but he just brushed her off, storming towards Alexander before getting hit again. He stumbled back a bit, then ran up to the boy and gave him a blow to the stomach. At that point, Sinead screamed and ran over to Alexander, putting herself in front of her father's fury. "Dad, no, it's my fault! If anyone should get hurt, it's me! Just let them go, they don't know what they're doing!"

Sterling stomped up to Sinead's father, his eyes burning with rage. Easily he dodged Sinead, steping behind her before smashing his fist directly into the middle of her father's face. "*******," Sterling snarled. It was a powerful hit, seeing as Sterling was so muscular from his regular workouts at the gym. As the man groaned and cupped his now bleeding and possibly broken nose, Sterling grabbed a screaming Sinead and dragged her away from her father. When Sterling was satisfied with the distance between them he took her shoulders and brought his face nearly inches away from Sinead's. "Stay here and don't move. I mean it Sinead," he growled seriously and went back to aid Alexander. They would make him pay.

Sinead shrieked and tried to stop the fighting. This was taking it too far. "Guys, you can't be f*cking vigilantes! Stop this fighting, right now! The neighbors are probably watching!" She tried to pull her dad away, but her moved and punched her square in the nose, a snapping sound happening as they made contact.

Sinead hadn't felt pain like that before, and she fell to the ground, screaming wildly. Nothing she said was coherent, and she covered her face so nobody could see the nastiness that was ensuing. But the blood was getting all over the place, and all over her clothes. Tears stung her eyes as she did her best not to cry.

A woman darted out onto the front porch, looking thin and somewhat ill. She had a striking resemblance to Sinead, and it was obvious she was her mother. She didn't move, and actually cowered back into the house.

"I thought I told you to stay there!" Sterling barked angrily. He suddenly saw a very fragile looking woman appear. He knew immediately that it was Sinead's mother. Mostly because they favored one another as well as the fact that she looked so sick just as Sinead had related earlier. Sterling decided to let Alexander handle daddy alone for the moment while he tried to talk to Sinead's mother. He approached calmly and with caution, not sure how this woman would react to a stranger's advance. "Mrs. Whelan," Sterling said softly. "We're here to help you. Both you and Sinead." He smiled warmly at her so that she would know he wasn't going to hurt her. Hopefully she would cooperate with him. It definitely would everything a lot easier.

Mrs. Whelan just stared at Sterling with alarm, then slammed the door shut and locked it.

Sinead said to Sterling, "You can't tell me what to do! I have to try and calm everyone down! I won't let this get out of hand!" She then grabbed her father by his arm and yanked on it as hard as she could, causing him to fall over. "Stop this madness! You're acting like idiots!" She stumbled backwards a bit, then distanced herself from her father, afraid of what could happen if he got up and got closer to her. He could easily trip her and then take advantage of that.

Alexander took pause when he saw Sinead being hit. He moved away from the man on the floor and hent over to her. "Are you okay?" He asked noticing her tears and the blood dripping from her face. "Let me see," He gently moved her hand from her face trying to get a better view of her nose. The blood and tears and the fact that her hands were still by her face, and he really couldn't blame her for that, it looked like it hurt. "I think it may be broken. We need to get you to a doctor."

"I-I'll be fine," she whimpered, trying to hide herself from from everyone. "Please, just... Don't worry about me, okay? The bleeding will stop soon, and I'll be just fine." She moved away from him, trying her best not to sniffle. She seemed to curl up a bit, trying to protect herself. "D-don't touch me, please. You'll get blood on yourself." She gave a soft sob, and her shoulders started to shake.

Then, there was the sound of wailing sirens, causing both Mr. Whelan and Sinead to look up with alarm. "The police," she breathed. "But... no... who would have called them?" She looked to the living room window, and saw her mother standing there with the phone, her hand obviously shaking.

A wave of panic coursed down Sterling's spine. He couldn't run. That would just make things worse. No he had to stay and explain what's going on to the police. Maybe now the man will finally get what he deserved. Sterling just prayed he wouldn't get himself in trouble by being here. Even though he was trying to help Sinead, he was sure he could get in trouble for either assault or trespassing, or both.

The police officers pulled up and immediately started dispersing the scene, asking everyone questions and interrogating the neighbors. An ambulance worker came over to Sinead and asked her what had happened. Sinead explained the whole situation, from start to finish, sobbing violently as she came clean. A policeman who was listening took notes, then went to question Sinead's mom. Sinead was lead to an ambulance to have her nose checked, as it was obviously broken.

Just posting so I can!

Sinead was in the hospital, doing fairly well, her nose bandaged and stitches where the deeper cuts and gashes had been. She didn't say a word to anybody, and wouldn't even look at the officers or nurses when they talked to her. She was completely despondent, in her own little world. What had happened had really messed her up, both physically and mentally.

I was just about to post.

Alexander grinned at the police man who stride ove to himr. "Hey Jim, Long time no see. " He figured it was probably never a good thing when you were on a first name basis with the police officers. Most of the time they didn't even bother cuffing him or pulling him into the cruiser. He just simply drove himself down to the station and filled out the paperwork for himself and wait to be told where to go.

The brawny man shook his head. "Why do you always seem to get yourself into trouble. "

Alexander shrugged and smirked a bit, obviously pleased with his own response. "It's fun. "

"You're going to half to spend a couple hours downtown again. When will you ever learn that you can't just go around beating people up like this. "

"They deserved it. " He retorted simply.

After they let him out he heard about Sinead being in the hospital and he felt bad. He drove over there to visit her and apologize. He felt guilty, she got hurt because of him. Sure he didn't physically hit her himself but he had caused her injury. He found out where her room was and tapped at the door as he let himself in. "Hey Princess, how'd the nose job go? Does your face finally look normal now"

Yes. Post-Vacay ProPost!

Sinead just stared blankly ahead, her face seeming sallow, her entirety seeming so small. Even when Alexander entered and talked to her, she held the same glazed over stare for a few minutes. Then she looked over at him, seeming like she was in pain. She made a motion with her shoulders, almost a shrug, then turned her face to the wall, staring into it, unblinking. She barely moved a muscle, besides her chest moving to show she was breathing.

Alexander frowned slightly at her reaction-or lack there of. He walked over to er bed and plopped himself down beside her. "Oh come on that was a pretty good one. I know your mad at me but still. " he glanced over at the tray of hospital food beside her bed. He stuck his finger into her opened pudding cup and was about to plop a dollop on her nose when he remembered, seeing her bandages. Instead he stuck his finger into his mouth and licked the chocolately goodness clean off his finger. "How do feel ? Are they atleast givin you the good drugs?"

At the presence of someone-- namely a man-- getting so close to her, she recoiled, her eyes wide with terror, her mouth open in a silent scream. She pushed her tray to him, her hands trembling violently. Then the shaking seemed to spread, and soon she was trembling all over, tears welling up in her eyes. She moved and pulled the covers completely over herself, whimpering softly. "Don't hurt me," she whispered, her voice hoarse from lack of usage.

Alexander watched her panic. He moved the tray, setting it aside on a nearby table. "Hey,Hey shhh. It's okay. " He whispered. She was...afraid of him. It put him off a bit, sending a feeling through him that was almost like being punched in the stomach. "I'm not going to hurt you. I'm not ever going to hurt you. " He promised. He felt that stance urge to hug her again. He felt this time though, that if he did it would probably just shake her up more. She was scared and he could see that and didn't want to end up making it any worse.

"No... that's a lie and we both know it. Everyone is all the same," she mumbled, curling up even more under the sheets, her trembling getting worse. She sniffled audibly, then allowed herself to peer out from under her blankets. "You don't like me anyway. Why do you care." She covered herself up again, afraid of looking at him for too long. Her trembling seemed to calm a bit though, and her breathing became normal.

"No, everyone is most certainly not the same. There are good people out there Sinead."Alexander told her. He shrugged "I dunno. I just feel bad that you go hut..."He tried tugging the sheets away but without any success. He made a soft grumbling noise and instead ducked under them with her. "Look I know youre scared. BUt you need to realise that that's okay. It's okay to admit that sometimes you're scared and that sometimes you need help."
