"Well," he began. "I've never had anyone compliment my looks before, so I didn't know what to think," he laughed, and blushed slightly. "Did you ever have any males after you in your old pack?" he asked curiously.

"Unfortunately yes." Dawn said, an involuntary frown finding its way onto her snout. "But, they showed it in the worst of ways. If you can imagine."

"Those jerks," he said with a disturbed look. "But I don't blame them for being attracted to you. I think any male would be crazy not to be." He loved to compliment Dawn. He felt she deserved them and he was only being honest with her. "Have you ever thought about pups? I've always wanted to be a father, though I can honestly say I never thought I'd get the chance," he said, casing his glance downward.

Dawn whined softly as she thought of all the horrid things those male wolves had tried to do to her, yet, she proved too strong. "Pups have always been my weakness. I'd love some! I think you'd be a great father, if my opinion counts."

"You know your opinion counts with me, Dawn. I hope to be a great father someday," he said dreamily. "I can't think of anything greater. Small, adorable, little babies and a beautiful wife for me to love and care for." Fang couldn't help looking at Dawn as he said this. And with that, he la his head down on to the scruff of Dawn's neck, and slowly drifted to sleep, just as he had the night before, savoring every moment of closeness with Dawn.

Dawn hid her blush by turnning her head down, but some of her wide grin could still be seen. "I'd probably be the most protective mother someone would ever meet." She remarked giddily, tilting her head to the side as if imagining herself with a family. As she felt Fang relax, she assumed he fell asleep, therefore she closed her eyes and willed herself to sleep as well.

"Many people have said that. It's still hard not to laugh in their faces. Aire is my brother, there is no way I would ever mate with my brother. That would be tterly absurd!" She said, stifling her laughter.

Aire stepped a few feet back from the tree then ran towards it, jumping onto the trunk, digging his claw into the bark as she scrambled up to a sturdy branch.

Shelly awoke with a loud yawn. What a good rest she had. She definitely needed it. She stood up and looked around for the others to see it they had come back yet. They were so kind to her, she was glad Chloe had let her join their pack. Walking off a little ways, Shelly yawned again and stretched her hind legs.

Jack opened his eyes and looked around to find himself nestled comfortably against Grace's side. He stood up slowly and licked her muzzle gently. She woke up with a start and looked at Jack. She then stood up and shook the sleep from her rested body.

Chloe cocked her head to the side as she walked, softly kicking a small pebble with her front paw. "He is your biological brother? Or you mean to say you view him as your brother because you have a close knit relationship and would never think of him in that way?" Chloe watched as Aire wiggled his way up the tree and laughed softly. "It is odd for me to see you do that Aire. I know it is necessary if you want the herb you are after, but it is quite uncommon to see a wolf climbing a tree you know. Don't get me wrong, I am rather enjoying watching you."

Suddenly, Chloe detected the scent of a strange wolf, but something about it seemed vaguely familiar. It was getting closer. Chloe approached an area of shrubs and tried to peer through the gaps to see the intruder. What she saw instead were sickeningly yellow eyes gazing back at her. Chloe snarled and backed away from the bushes as the intruder stepped forward into the light. "Demon."

He grinned maliciously. "Why Chloe, is that you?," he asked in mock surprise. "I haven't seen you in years since you ran away from home," his grin returning to his face once again.

Chloe snarled once more, every hair on her back standing on end as pure rage built itself up inside of her. "How dare you come here?!" she growled.

His grin got wider. "Well, after I found out you escaped, I had to come find you and finish what I started . . . along with anyone else who gets in my way," he eyed Aire and Svetlana nearby. "And now after years of searching for you, I have found you." He laughed, nothing but pure evil entwined with every sound he made.

"Don't you dare threaten them Demon," Chloe growled and stepped in front of Svet and Aire, teeth bared.

"Aww, you're even more of a wuss than you were back then," he said.

"They are members of my pack and I will fight to the death for them!" Chloe yelled.

"Oh, will you now," Demon paced back and fourth keeping his yellow eyes on Chloe. "That will certainly be arranged."

"I'm not afraid of you Demon. I will gladly fight you," Chloe snarled, her mouth starting to foam with rage. "You killed my parents, you killed most of my pack, and you almost killed my brother and I, but now it is my turn to kill you!"

Demon pretended to back away in fear. "I'm so scared!"

Shelly suddenly stopped. She could sense danger was near. Not exactly knowing what to do she rushed off toward the direction her senses were leading her.

"Oh you better be," Chloe narrowed her eyes into angry slits. "You don't know how much I'm going to enjoy this."

Demon laughed again, unable to take Chloe seriously. He scented a another wolf approaching. "Oh someone's coming to rescue you little Chloe. How sweet," Demon's yellow eyes pierced Chloe's. Her heart wrenched to think that her pack was in danger. "Leave them alone Demon. You're here for me. Not them."

"I will be if they involve themselves. Don't forget your brother either. I still have to get rid of him as well."

Chloe snarled viciously and snapped at Demon. "I'll rip you apart if you touch my brother or my pack!"

Shelly stopped cold when she saw a strange he-wolve growling at Chloe. He was saying that he would get to Fang and the rest of the pack if they got involved. Shelly felt fear for Chloe. She had half only half made up her mind when she turned around briskly and rushed back to warn Fang about this intruder.

Demon saw Shelly when she quickly ran away. "Oh looks like she wasn't coming to rescue you at all. Some alpha you are, your own pack members don't even want to help you!" He laughed, his voice filled with malice and contempt.

"Fang!" Shelly screamed as she approached him. "Fang! Chloe and Svet and Aire are in trouble! There's this crazed wolve over there and I think he's gonna hurt them!" Shelly gasped for air as she came to a stop in front of Fang.

Fang lifted his head slowly off of Dawn, trying carefully not to wake her. He didn't really hear much of what Shelly was yelling about for he was still sleepy and could not focus right. "Hmm? Wolf?" He asked. "That's Dawn's job to handle new wolves., not mine." Fang lay his head back down on Dawn and went back to sleep. It was possible he was never really awake in the first place.

Grace heard Shelly and bounded over to her. "I heard what you said, where are they?" She said in a calm tone. She turned to Jack and gave him a knowing look. Jack whimpered softly and crawled off into a hollowed log to hide.

Dawn fidgited slightly under Fang's moving body, setting her sleepy sapphire eyes on Shelly who was standing there looking confused and scared out of her wits. "What's happening?" She asked softly, trying to sneak her way out from under Fang without waking him, giving his side a soothing lick.
