Croy could feel this, but didnt do much about it to fix the problem- he just wanted to get her far enough away to where her mind could heal from the experience.

"They are close now." He murmured. "Yulia misses having him around, and when he is here, they spend a lot of time together; shes young, but its like they are instinctively close."

"Yulia is going to be so beautiful." Elda whispered.

He nodded, slowly. "Her mothers daughter. Its hard to find such beautiful creatures..."

Elda looked down a bit. "Sorrow looks just like her mom, unfortunately."

Jeremy frowned slightly, having heard the story before. "But shes nothing like her mom."

Elda nodded. "I don't know where she gets her personality though. Fragile, comforting, and... Utterly selfless."

"Maybe she developed it to get away from what her mom laid down for herself." He murmured. "Why question it?"

"I don't question it. It just makes me curious."

"Huh." He murmured. "I wish Araya was that way. That kid, he has an attitude. From his dad, I know, but jeez... hes just a kid."

Elda sighed. "Araya... He..."

He sighed. "I know..."

"He's not like the others."

"Hes something, all right." He murmured quietly. "But... that strange girl, Tettra? I heard her talking to Nathanial once. She said... It was Luneth that we have to worry about. I doubt it, though. Hes so quiet, and nervous. Although hes got sort of an attitude- this one is fueled by loneliness."

Jade remained stiff until they landed. At which point, she crawled out of Croy's arms, curled up at the foot of a tree, assuming the fetal position. She stared out blankly ahead, the tears streaming down her cheeks. "I want to hide away forever," she whispered, her voice sounding hoarse and throaty.

I just got super embarrassed today, and it made me irate at my teacher.

I'm still a little ticked, but it'll all be good soon, I hope.

Aww, I hope so. I hate when teachers are unreasonable.

Croy sat beside her, stroking her hair. "...Hey. Jade? Do you need anything?"

"...I hope not." He murmured. "I hope your just wrong."
