I'm just tired of all the stress and insanity.

The police then used tear gas, throwing it into the crowds while protecting themselves with gas masks, trying to get to people to disperse, rather than stay and destroy each other. They also wanted to catch the perpetrators of the gun shots.

Lucy tried to focus her sight on Asher, but the gas stung her eyes, and a deep gash on her forehead made blood trickle down her face. She managed to get out of Asher's arms, taking him by the hand, and stumbled along the road in the park, trying to get them out of the panic. Occasionally, she fell to her knees, trying to catch her breath. But she would just get back up again, pulling Asher along.

That's fair enough. High school is really stressful right now ):

I advised all of the year below us to enjoy Year 9 while it lasts. Ughh.

Having gotten far enough away from the crowd now, Asher picked her up again, despite her getting out. "You can't run in the state you're in, Lucy, you'll hurt yourself even more. Just tell me which way to go, okay?" he told her. He carried on running to the central park gates.

xD I know the feeling

Lucy nodded, quickly giving him directions to get back to her apartment, coughing a bit and wincing after tasting her blood in her mouth. She let her head loll to one side, feeling exhausted, and not wanting her blood to get all over Asher. Well... it didn't help much, she was bleeding all over the place.

"Don't you think I should take you to a doctor?" Asher asked her. He was a bit breathless, having not stopped running the whole way there. He didn't mind the blood on his clothes. He was just worried about getting Lucy somewhere safe, because she'd been beaten up pretty badly. If he hadn't had to get her away so quickly, that guy who had beaten her would have paid a heavy price for it.

Lucy didn't reply, having blacked out at some point along the way. Her eyes were closed, her body limp, limbs like lead. Luckily, everything was black, there were no strange dreams, no hallucinations. Just darkness.

Asher just took her into her apartment. He went straight to get bandages and things to clean her up with, sitting her down in the bathroom as he tended to her. Things looked a little less severe when all the blood was cleaned up. But she was still out cold, and that worried him. He had an ambulance on the phone, not taking any chances.

Lucy stirred eventually, looking around groggily, pushing her hair out of her eyes. "Hey... Asher.... where are we," she asked quietly, trying to sit up better. "When did we get out of the park?"

"We got out a little while ago now. We're back at your apartment, so you're safe now. All the blood is gone, I think, so you just need to relax," he told her softly, gently helping her to sit more comfortably.

Ugh, I have to go do more stupid costume crap.

I'll post when I get back.

Lucy nodded weakly, moving to sit in Asher's lap, cuddling very close to him. "Asher.... thank you for coming to get me from that crazy fight in the park. I was so scared, and I couldn't do anything about what was going on."

"I was afraid, too," Asher said, quietly, gently holding her, stoking her hair soothingly. "That guy.. I just can't believe he'd hurt anyone, especially a girl, like that. And even before that, when I couldn't find you, I panicked. I'm sorry I just didn't get to you faster."

Lucy kissed his cheek, then cuddled even closer to him, wanting to just be close to him. What had happened to her kept playing over and over in her head, making her feel almost sick to her stomach. "Asher, promise me you won't let me go again."

Well, I just had whole hour of drooling at the TV. Adam was the Idol mentor this week. *sigh*

Asher tightened his arms around her, though was very careful how tight he went, not wanting to hurt her. "Never, I promise," he said softly. As he said it, he sounded more shaken than before about the incident. "And, I'll stay here with you for the rest of the afternoon and the evening, too. Moving can wait for another day."

xD You're obsessed

Lucy said, "But Asher... You know that you need to get moved in." She sighed quietly, cuddling closer to him. "But... if you really want to stay, I don't see any problem in it." She looked up and kissed him softly, then buried her face in his shirt.

And proud.

I really think you should see the performance he did on Wednesday night though. It was incredible, my biasedness put aside. The link is in my Facebook status. I think you'd like it, you know.

"I don't want you to be here by yourself, though. I mean, I can go when Eric gets back, maybe... And there's always tomorrow to get things done, too. What do you want me to do?" Asher asked her, holding her close to himself.

I'll have to check it out! =D

Lucy thought about it. She'd feel bad if Asher didn't get a chance to move all of his stuff, but... well, she was selfish, and wanted to keep him to herself for tonight. She hadn't really thought about just how fragile life was. She could have easily died. "Asher, could you possibly stay here tonight," she asked meekly.

I have it on my iPod xD

Asher didn't mind waiting another day to get moving done. She was much more important to him, and he would gladly have stayed with her as long as she wanted. She was in bad shape, he knew that, so it came as a sort of relief to him that she wanted him to stay. He nodded and said, "Of course, baby. I'll stay for as long as you need me to."

That's definitely obsession!

Lucy looked up at him and smiled weakly, then held him close, trying to calm herself. But she was still completely scared of what had happened, and it played over and over again in her mind, not helping her state of mind.

Like I said, I'm proud. He's got everything it takes to be a real star. He'r a real showman, as you'll see in the video.

Asher could tell that Lucy was having a hard time trying not to think about what had happened. He just held her closer, and decided that the living room was probably a better place to spend their time than still in the bathroom. He picked her up very gently and carried her over to the couch, where he sat back down, with her in his lap. He wasn't sure what he could say to her that would make her feel better; he could barely imagine what it must have been like. He thought of the guy who had done this to her, and he seemed to tense up a little bit. It was rare that he ever got angry with anybody, but when it came to Lucy, anybody who hurt her could make him livid in an instant.
