Lucy said, "They're like a salty bready twist that you can dip in mustard. They're delicious!" She bought two, then handed one to Asher. "Try it. And if you don't like it, I'll eat it!" She grinned at him, then took a bite of her pretzel.

How are you? It feels like ages since we had a real conversation; everything's been so hectic lately ):

"Oh, right," Asher replied. "Thanks." He smiled, taking the pretzel from her. He took a bite, and recognised the taste. "Oh, that's right, they're German originally, right? I'm sure I ate one somewhere, just a small piece, so I didn't know that they looked like that," he chuckled.

xD I heart you, Tazzy.

Lucy grinned up at him, then planted a kiss upon his lips. "You taste like pretzel!" She said, still grinning. Taking his free hand, she walked along with him, swinging her arm playfully, like a child.

I heart you, too, Becca :)

I even changed my FB nickname to Tazzy Bear xD

Asher chuckled and said, "So do you!" He walked along with her, letting his arm swing with hers. "You always taste of something good, though." He smiled.

I love it!!!!!!

Lucy blushed and rolled her eyes, taking another bite from her pretzel. "Well, thank you," she said, giggling, giving his hand a gentle squeeze. "I'm glad that I seem to be so very kissable to you." She led him into the park, humming brightly.

well, I'm off. I'm gonna go enjoy some springtime weather! <3

Lucy nodded in agreement. "This park is much more lively in the sunshine. You can see just about every kind of person, all the vendors are out, and everyone's in good spirits. This is one of the few places that can do that to people. You walk around downtown, and everyone seems unpleasant."

Have fun =D Talk to you.. Whenever.

"It seems like it, compared to yesterday," Asher said, nodding. "It's just good to feel the sun, anyway, because it's only rained since I got here. Not that I don't like the rain, of course. We both love it," he chuckled.

Won't be on Wednesday or Thursday. Going up north with some gal pals! xD

Lucy said, "The next time it rains, we'll have to go out and dance together on the street. I haven't danced in the rain since I was small, actually. Seeing as I haven't had anyone to dance with in a while." She smiled, walking down the road.

Ah, nice =D

Have fun, in that case. Don't know how I'll survive tomorrow, though. I'm at home all day doing art ):

Asher looked somewhat surprised by this. "You know, it's funny, I actually had that in mind, too.. That's really weird," he said, smiling. "I just saw it in a movie once, a long time ago, and I thought about how great it would be, to dance with you in the rain."

How'd the art go?

Lucy grinned and said, "We have a similar mindset, I think. Which is actually pretty cool, I thought I was the only one who would consider dancing in the rain romantic. I don't know what I did to deserve you, Asher."

Good so far. Not finished though. There was more planning involved than I first had thought out.

I think it'll be cool once it's done, though.

"I wonder about how I deserve you, too," Asher said, chuckling. "I don't know now, and I'm not sure I ever will, but I'll let you know if I do. But, I won't dwell on it too much, dancing in the rain sounds like a much better idea." He smiled, taking another bite from his pretzel.

Cool! I hope you'll put up pictures when it's done =)

Lucy grinned, and was about to say something, when she heard yelling and cheering from a different area in the park. "Hey, it's a rally!" She exclaimed, grinning. She took his hand and dragged him to the area, filled with people of all ages and races. The speaker was demanding an end to war, and end to segregation, and equal rights for all. Lucy couldn't help but feel drawn in, and agreeing with what the speaker was saying.

Hopefully, yeah. I'm so fussy, though, I might be like, "No, I'm too embarrassed to put it on here, it looks funny!" xD

I finally managed to get my other Seussical and Kelly Clarkson photos on, so Facebook appears to be happy again =D

Asher smiled, happily joining in with the rally crowd. He was definitely for integration and an end to the Vietnam war. Paradise Valley had appeared quite insignificant in the way of change, so rallies hadn't been common. But when there had been, he had made sure he was always there. To be a part of something much bigger and better, though, felt great.

Yayayayayayay!!!!

I finished my housing and financial aid forms for college.

Lucy cheered along with everyone else, raising her fist in the air to further show her support. Everything was a mass of people yelling, singing, cheering, moving. And then there were gunshots, people taking arms in support of revolution. Chaos erupted. Sirens filled the air, there was smoke and fire. And in the midst of it all, Lucy got pulled away from Asher into the screaming throng of protesters.

Great =D

I'm so glad you get to go to the college you wanted.

Asher jumped at the sound of the gunshots. When he could no longer see Lucy, he was then panicking inside. It didn't matter if you all were standing for the same thing now. Chances are, you'd get hurt no matter who you were. He was one of the tallest there, but he still couldn't see her through the masses of people. He tried pushing through, calling her name, in the general direction that she had been pulled in.

I just can't believe everything is falling into place. It's weird, but I can't wait for high school to be over.

Lucy felt herself being pushed along, the spindly girl among a sea of wolves. At one point, the pushing stopped, but now she was in a "clearing" made by the sight of a police officer and a protester grappling with each other. Lucy moved forward, trying to separate the two, but ended up getting pushed down by the angry protester, and then she felt repeated blows to her head and the rest of her body. After so many blows, the pain seemed to numb, but she could feel her blood running hot all around her. She was too shocked to cry, to do anything but take the abuse.

That's interesting. I mean, it's hard for me to say whether I'll want to savour the last few months of high school or whether I'll want them to be over. We'll see when I get there :)

Asher eventually got pushed out of the crowd, a little ways down from where Lucy had emerged into the clear area, not spotting her until he went to turn back. When he did see her, he was there in a flash. The sight of her bleeding hit him hard. He didn't usually get angry, but he grabbed hold of the protester and punched him. In return, the guy returned the favour, so to speak, causing Asher's lip to bleed. "I swear to God, touch her again, and I'll kill you," he said, breathless. He pushed the guy away again, who then decided he was done with Lucy and retreated to the crowd. Tears in his eyes, Asher knelt by Lucy, "Oh baby, I'm so sorry," he said softly, picking her up very gently in his arms. Nobody would have enough sympathy to call an ambulance. But he didn't know where the hospital was, either.
