"Okay, okay. You win," Brandon chuckled, pressing his lips to her forehead before pulling her closer again. He closed his eyes and sighed seemingly comfortable right now. Oh well, it would last for a couple of hours, anyway.

Sadie smiled slightly, falling asleep for another couple of hours, then got up, as if sensing the baby was just about to cry. Cosette began to wail, and Sadie was right there to pick her up. "Shush, love... shh.. it's okay honey..." She tried to see if Cosette was hungry. No. Needed to be changed? No. She thought, then went downstairs to the kitchen, and pulled out a bag of blood. She then poured as much as could fit into one of the baby's bottles. She then heated it up slightly, so it was a little warmer than room temperature. She went back up to the nursery, sat down in the rocking chair, and started feeding Cosette the blood. That made the baby very happy.

Brandon simply laid there and tried to get back to sleep while Sadie went to check on Cosette, and he was just about there, until he could smell the blood coming from the other room. It wasn't that he had a sudden bloodlust, it's just that the smell seemed to be particularly noticable for some reason. Someone in the house had gotten a hold of human blood, which wasn't good, because Cosette needed to get used to the taste of animal's blood instead, so she'd be less accustomed to wanting human blood as she grew.

Sadie checked the package of blood that she had chosen, then winced. My first screw up... d*mn! She sighed, then said to Cosette, "Don't expect this kind anymore, honey. You'll have to drink like everyone else, okay?"

Cosette, while being an infant, seemed to understand that fact. She finished drinking, pushing the bottle away, and yawning. Sadie sighed, rubbing the baby's back until she fell asleep again.

Brandon sat up in bed and tried to concentrate on something other than the smell of blood wafting through the house. Goodness knows who'd gone and bought packets of human blood.. Definitely not Evander. He suspected, as anyone else would, Kyle had, considering he'd been given the duty recently, and he'd never been trusted with it before.

Just got on , and now I have dinner. Talk to you in a bit :)

Okie dokies!

Did you have lamb shank?

Sadie quietly said to Cosette, "I thought your daddy meant there would be animal blood. Sorry sweetie." She gently kissed the top of the baby's head, then placed her in her crib.

Cosette cooed up at her mother, before drifting off to sleep.

Sadie went to the bathroom and started washing off her hands and arms, trying to get rid of the blood smell.

Nope. Chicken this time xD

Brandon eventually got out of bed and went out onto the balcony, welcoming the fresh air. It was so odd how Sadie's blood had never had this effect on him, especially when it smelt and tasted so much better. He put it down to the fact that he'd gotten used to it, and because he was so careful with her, he knew when to stop wanting.

Darnit. Oh well, I tried xD

Sadie pulled her robe off, and shoved it deep down into the clothes bin, trying to hide the blood smell that could have been on her robe. She sighed, then went out to the balcony with Brandon. "You feeling okay?" She asked, rubbing his shoulders.

It was definitely worth a shot, anyway :L

Brandon nodded a few times stiffly. The smell was definitely fading, though he was wishing it would go ahead and fade quicker. "It's fine.. It's from sleeping. Vampire's senses are keener at night, and particularly while sleeping. And it's because I haven't smelt human blood-- besides yours-- in a long time. I have no idea who was in charge of getting it, but they made a mistake. But I'll be fine."

Woo! I'm having chicken for a late lunch

Sadie nodded, wrapping her arms around him from behind him. Resting her head against his back, she murmured, "I wish I had known what it was before I opened it. I'm sorry, baby." She stood on her tiptoes, to press her lips to the beck of his neck, trying to be comforting.

highfive for eating chicken! xD

Brandon shivered slightly, and the smell seemed to be almost entirely eliminated in that instance. He suspected it was the fact that she was distracting him an awful lot. He said, "I can't expect you to know whether you're picking up human or animal blood, Sadie. Heck, even a vampire trusted with the job of doing exactly that couldn't. It's not your fault. I'll just make sure I get rid of it, because we don't want Cosette having any more of it." He closed his eyes and told her, "You're very distracting. Please continue."

I love chicken! especially when it's kentucky fried.

Sadie said, "I just... I've only been a mom for one day, and I've already messed up. I feel guilty about it." She then went back to kissing the back of his neck, then nibbled on his ear, and whispered, "I love you, Brandon." She continued, focusing on distracting him.

"You haven't messed up. It's not your fault at all. Please don't feel guilty. That'll make me feel a lot better," Brandon said softly, "One won't do her any harm anyway. It's probably good for her just to have a little bit, so she's strong." He exhale deeply, closing his eyes again, allowing her to competely distract him from his senses; it was working. "I love you, too," he whispered back.

my chicken burned meeee! D<

Sadie smiled slightly, moving her lips lower on his neck, finding his most sensitive spot. She nibbled it slightly, and murmured, "Is this helping, babe?" She let her hands travel up the front of his shirt.

Awh D: Not good.

I totally forgot to reply to the last thing you said xD I, too, would say kentucky fried is the best way to cook chicken. Alongside barbeque.

Her hands on his skin felt warmer than they usually did. Was that down to it being night-time, like he'd said before? There could have been many reasons for it. All he really knew about her distractions were two things: one, he was thoroughly enjoying them and two, they were working. "I feel much better.. Thank you," he whispered, unable to make his voice any louder than that. He paused, and then said, "You're not wearing your robe." He wasn't really sure whether it was ment to sound like a question as to why, or just a stating of a fact.

mm, barbeque. that sounds delicious!

Sadie pulled him closer to herself, and quietly said, "I was afraid it would have the blood smell on it, and I figured it would bother you. So I put it in the clothes bin, so that I could wash it tomorrow." She kept her hands pressed against his chest, and gently bit into his sensitive spot. She closed her eyes, just taking in the moment.

We have barbeques all year around. The neighbours think we're crazy. I remember Dad's been out under the carport in thunder and in snow with a barbeque xD

"Well, it's certainly helping with the distractions," Brandon chuckled quietly. He gripped the side- probably a bit more tightly than he should have, it being no match for his strength. He groaned quietly. "One kind of lust to another," he said. "You're making me nervous again."

xD oh wow.

Yeah, my dad's DEFINITELY not that gung-ho when it comes to barbeque.

Sadie said, "I can stop if you'd like..." She withdrew her lips, but kept her arms firmly around him. "I don't like making you more nervous than you want to be, you know." She cuddled close to him, her heart beating quickly. It wasn't because she needed him at that moment. It was just the thrill of making him react.

That's why we're South African and your Dad is not xD

"I just.. Well, you know already, I'd rather just endure the rest of the week than risk it. I'm allowed to want you, but I can't be forced to the stage where I need you. But you can keep holding me. I mean, I want you to," Brandon breathed.

xD Yeah, we're very far from South Africa.

Sadie nodded, resting her chin on his shoulder. "Okay... and want to hold you. So it works out for both of us, then." She gently pressed her lips against his temple, then stared up at the sky. "It's beautiful tonight, isn't it?" She whispered, looking up at the milky white stars, which would soon be disappearing.
