Brandon laughed, sprinting down the sidewalk until he was at just the right distance to jump on top of a block of flats, and then continuing to scale them, sometimes climbing up the walls to get to higher places. He loved being a vampire, just so he could do this-- despite it being normal, it was incredibly exhilarating.

Sadie held tightly to him, laughing. She could feel her heart beating a mile a minute. She almost felt like she was flying. Brandon seemed like he could defy gravity, and fly up into the sky, and across buildings. It was one of the most amazing feelings she'd ever experienced. But it couldn't beat falling in love, or sleeping with Brandon.

Back in a bit, shower :3

And then I'll be slow due to serious piano playing xD

So much better than walking-- not only faster--, was what Brandon thought to himself, grinning the whole time. Not once did he show any signs of fatigue or strain, it was all so easy for him. He wondered how good she'd be at this for a first try when she was a vampire-- and he did think the word 'when'. Despite being reluctant to change her, he knew he would do it someday.

Okie dokie!

Sadie would look down when they jumped from one roof to another. To her, seeing just how high she was was all part of the fun. She grinned, then said into Brandon's ear, "You've had a lot of practice at this, huh?" She had no idea about what he was thinking. She assumed that he hadn't really decided if he was ever going to change her or not.

"Yeah, it takes time to get it right. Still, sometimes falling is part of the fun-- you don't get hurt, and you can laugh about it later," he said, finding the highest building around them and scaling it. Stopping for a moment before running full speed and launching himself from the edge, clearing over six buildings from it. He punched the air, letting out an exasperated, "Woo!", at his awesome jump. "It might be different for you, though. You could get it straight away-- though, no offense-- I doubt it, I've never seen anyone pick it up in less than a couple weeks at least. Still, we'll wait and see." He knew full well that she didn't know if he wanted to change her or not, slyly slipping it into the conversation as if it were innocent chat.

Sadie stared at the back of his head, clearly surprised. "So you ARE going to change me!" She breathed, slightly breathless from the extreme jump he just executed. Then she smirked. "Well, I'm going to prove you wrong. I'm going to get it on my first try, just to spite you!" She enjoyed thinking about it.

"It's the only way for us to be together forever-- which is what I want, more than anything," Brandon replied, jumping a few more roofs before beginning to slide down the side of one. After reaching the bottom, he continued to run. "I think of all people, you could be one to prove me wrong.." They were heading out of town now, and down a wide lane-- a row of oak trees on either side, like the oned leading up to houses on the old slave plantations. A quarter mile or so down the path, he set her down, taking her hand. Before them, a gorgeous house-- old looking, with a huge garden, willow trees along the banks of a river running by the side. The porch, at night was lit with the lanterns hanging from the frame.

Sadie stared at the house with amazement. She had never seen anything so beautiful. Her parents had liked in an old victorian house, but it couldn't compare with this beautiful mansion. "Wow Brandon. Your family lives here? Man, do I clash with the theme, or what?" She shrugged, squeezing his hand gently.

He chuckled, "You'll fit in just fine, we're all weird and wonderful in different ways in this house," he smiled at her gently. He put out his hand to reach to get the door, but it opened before he found the handle.

"Brandon!" a voice chirped, coming from a tall, auburn haired girl with flawless porcelain skin, "You're back! With a friend, I see. Care to introduce?"

"I'm fine, thanks for asking!" Brandon said sarcastically, but then smiled again. "Blaise, my girlfriend, Sadie. Sadie, my dear cousin Blaise."

Sadie waved politely, then extended her hand for a handshake. "It's nice to meet you, Blaise. Brandon's been bragging about the family, I'm so glad to meet all of you." She smiled one of her charming, winning smiles. She meant every word she said.

Blaise shook it and smiled warmly-- at least she wasn't some stuck up snob putting on a plastic smile just to keep a good reputation. You could always count on Blaise to be nice."And you, too," she replied, then suddenly looked highly amused. "Ha! Bragging? Yeah, right!" Oh, she knew him too well.

"How can you brag with Kyle around?" Brandon flashed a grin.

"Took the words right out of my mouth," Blaise laughed. "Now come in and meet everyone else!"

The interior kept in with the look from the outside, very classic, sophisticated furniture, colours. A great wooden staircase was the centrepiece of the entrance hall.

"I'm sorry about my attire. I really wish I had dressed more nicely." She smiled sheepishly, looking around. "You have a beautiful home, Blaise. Is it a civil war era home, or was it built before that?"

American Civil War

He nudged her, "You look fine. I promise."

Blaise said, "It was originally a rich farmer's house, and the fields around it were part of his plantation, where slaves worked-- hence the river at the side, for sending goods, and the small, derelict shacks out in the fields. I imagine it was one of the later built ones, only built-- or perhaps converted-- about a max of eight years before the war. It's got a lot of history, though."

My favourite part of History this year! :3

"Wow. I can definitely see the history." She smiled at Brandon. "So, Blaise, should I brace myself?"

"Well, Brandon and I are the most normal ones-- normal in vampire terms, I should say-- in the house.." Blaise chuckled, starting to head through to the living room. "Particularly watch for the little blonde girl, she..."

"Uncle B!" a sudden voice seemingly coming from nowhere exclaimed. It came from somewhere in the room, but you couldn't see her-- a very little voice from a very little person.

A small, blonde haired girl with skin that seemed to glow as much as her gleaming teeth that were showing in a grin-- she looked about four or five years old-- was running towards Brandon as fast as her tiny legs could take her.

Brandon bent down on one knee, and caught the little girl, who jumped into his arms, poised like a gymnast as she flew through the air. "Hey, Ysi!"

Ysabelle, Brandon's adopted niece, was a very young child, whose mother had only recently been changed- within her lifetime. She had joined the family, acting as his sister, and so she became his incredibly cute niece. He picked her up in his arms, standing, and then said, "Ysi, this is Sadie."

"Who is she, Uncle B?!" she asked, smiling widely at Sadie, showing off all her little white milk teeth.

"She's my girlfriend. Say hello."

"Hi!!" she looked throughly pleased by meeting this new face, especially if she was a good friend of 'Uncle B'. She leaned forward and put her tiny arms out, physically asking for a hug and to be held by her.

"Ysabelle, my niece," Brandon said, holding her out. "She won't like it if you don't take her. She wants a hug." He chuckled.

Sadie reached out, and took the tiny girl into her arms, carrying her easily. "Well, aren't you the cutest girl I've ever met?" She gently hugged the girl, as if she was afraid she might break her. "Can I call you Ysi? What would you like to call me?"

"Yeah! Ysi!" She exclaimed happily, thoroughly pleased with all the attention she was getting.

"She is cute, isn't she?" Brandon chuckled, watching the two of them with a wide smile.

"Ugh, kids.. I don't understand your attraction, Brandon, she just disturbs the peace I like to have in this home.." Blaise said, her nose wrinkling.

"You were a child once, Blaise. Remember that. Besides, this is more my house than yours, and I like having her here."

"And I like being here!" Ysi added, raising her little arms slightly like she was trying to cheer. "Uncle B is the bestest Uncle in the world and I love him!"

Sadie bounced the girl gently, smiling. "Well, Ysi... you can call me... Deedee!" Holding Ysi, hearing how sweet and kind she was, made Sadie want to have children of her own. The sound of little feet, laughter, her and Brandon getting to nurture a child. They could be playmates for Ysi, who Sadie thought would make a great helper. Sadie hoped that someday, she could be a part of Brandon's family, too.

"Uncle B, I like this lady! I'm glad you picked her!" Ysi grinned at him, and then turned to show her expression off to Sadie, and her acceptance of her.

Brandon put his arm around Sadie's shoulers, smiling, and for one little moment moment it felt like they were togther with their own child rather than someone else's, and what a moment it was, too.

Sadie said to Ysi, "Now, why don't you help Brandon introduce me to the rest of the family? I'd like to meet them all!" She showed off a dazzling smile for Ysi, whole heartedly. She went into the next room, looking around, not nearly as nervous as she had been earlier.
