Mikey pulled her back onto his lap and held her close. "Don't move," he said softly. "I want to hold you like this for as long as I can." He smiled slightly, then planted a few kisses in her hair, taking one of her hands in his as he did so. He loved being close to her, it made the fact that she was his seem more real. "I'm going to write a song for you on my guitar," he told her finally.

Prudence went over to the fridge and got the cake out, placing it in the middle of the table, next to Evander's plate. "You want a slice of cake? It's really good, an old recipe I learned some time ago," she told him, smiling slightly as she removed the lid from the serving dish to reveal the dessert.

Cosette suddenly looked in a different direction and screeched happily, causing the butterfly to fly away. She reached out her arms, beaming and cooing loudly.

Sadie rubbed her eyes tiredly as she made her way down the porch steps. She smiled when she saw the little trio sprawled out on the grass, and said to them, "Are you three having fun? I hope you're behaving yourselves!"

Angie was taken by surprise when he pulled her back. But, no doubt, it made her smile widely when he did. And she didn't move, either, except once, to shift as close to him as she possibly could. "Really? I'd love that. You know, I really admire people who write their own songs. I mean, it amazes me. But, well, I guess I don't know the first thing about playing music at all. But that would be wonderful," she said to him.

"Sure, I'll have some. I'm really hungry, actually. And, well, it looks delicious," Evander said, sipping from his wine glass, examining the came from over the top rim. He couldn't wait to try this. If it was half as good as the main, it would be great.

Brandon held Cosette up in the air and rolled over onto his front, and then pulled Ysi next to him again. "We're having fun, oh yes. But, well, I can't guarantee that we're behaving. We haven't got you here to keep us in line," he replied, looking up at her from his position on the grass.

Mikey cuddled as close to her as he possibly could, occasionally planting a kiss on the back of her neck, before he nibbled on her ear, smiling slightly. "I hope this isn't bothering you," he murmured into her ear softly, playfully. He wrapped his arms around her from behind, playing with the hem of her shirt.

Prudence gave him a big slice, making sure that there were a few raspberries on top of the icing, so that he could taste all of the flavors at once. "It's great, because you get the juiciness of the raspberries, and the fruity flavor. It blends nicely with the chocolate, and the creaminess of the icing, too," Prudence explained, smiling. "it's not good for the body, but it sure is good for the soul."

Cosette reached out her arms for Sadie, who quickly scooped up the baby and whirled around in a circle. Of course, Cosette crowed with delight, then cuddled close to Sadie's chest. Sadie sat down next to Ysi, and gently planted a kiss in the girl's hair. "How is the queen of the house today," she asked affectionately, rubbing the child's back.

Angie shivered a bit at his touch, finding herself unconsciously cuddling ever closer, as though she was shivering from the cold instead of his kisses. She smiled and murmured, "It's distracting me. But it certainly isn't bothering me at all." She tilted her head to the side a bit, feeling the tickling sensation of his breath on her ear.

"Red velvet cake. Wow, I haven't had this in a really, really long time. Only, I remember it wasn't quite like this. Yours looks better, of course," Evander said, picking up a cake fork and tucking in, making sure to get a forkful with icing, cake and a raspberry. He smiled and ate silently, a sign that he really, thoroughly liked it.

"I'm good, Sadie!" Ysi exclaimed with a wide smile, eyes half closing from the amount she was grinning at her. "I'm so glad to see you and Uncle B again. I couldn't sleep last night because he didn't sing to me before I went to bed!"

Mikey grinned, and then he playfully licked the side of her neck, then nibbled her ear once more. "Well... how about we make it less of a distraction, and bring it so it's the most important thing on your mind," he murmured, letting his lips brush against her ear as he spoke to her.

Prudence beamed at him and said, "I'm glad you like it! I slaved away forever making it for you!" It hadn't been too hard to make for her, obviously, but she liked to pretend that she was a kitchen goddess. "And if your ex is the one who made the cake, I could easily out-cook her any day."

Sadie said, "I'm sorry, sweetie." She picked up the girl in her other arm, letting her sit on her lap. Softly, she placed Cosette in Brandon's arms, and she looked very happy about it. She began to fix Ysi's hair, running her fingers through it and styling it in intricate braids and twists. Smiling, Sadie said, "You and me need to have a big girl's day sometime soon. I'll let you do my makeup and hair, and I'll do your hair and nails, and we can have a picnic in the sunflower garden."

"I thought I was making dinner," Angie replied, her words occasionally interrupted by her giggling quietly at how he was teasing her, and at his expression. That wasn't to say, of course, that she didn't want to make it less of a distraction. Not at all.

Evander chuckled and said, "Well, I'm very grateful for all your hard work, and it certainly paid off." He finished his slice of cake quickly and said, "and as for it being bad for the body, I couldn't care less about that, it tastes too wonderful. And I'm sure you could out cook her. She stopped cooking years ago."

Brandon held Cosette in his arms, sitting her on his lap. They both watched Sadie with Ysi, Brandon smiling to himself. She was a wonderful mother, even to a child that wasn't her own.

"That sounds like fun," Ysi said, trying to move too much as Sadie did her hair.

Mikey said, "I can wait to eat dinner, baby. You're all I want right now." He chuckled, then turned her around so she was facing him, and kissed her passionately. He made sure she was pressed close to him, and smirked against her lips.

"Help yourself, seeing as we're the only two eating it." She told him, serving herself a slice of the cake. She started eating, then took a sip of wine. "This is definitely a good wine for this dessert, too. I love it, it's aged to perfection. And if your ex even tries to outdo me, I'll punch her in the face."

Sadie hummed soothingly to Ysi as she did her hair, finally finishing and tying a ribbon in her hair to keep it all in place. "And then I'll draw a new picture for you, so you can put it on your wall! And maybe we can paint a big picture together for Brandon." Sadie smiled, then tickled Ysi playfully. "unless the tickle monster gets you first!"

Angie just nodded. After all his teasing, he'd turned her on and all she wanted to do was kiss him back, forcefully and equally passionately, wrapping her arms around his neck.

Evander cut himself another small slice of cake, and polished that off soon enough, too. It was certainly perfect with the wine she'd picked. "Well, I think it's actually at the perfect age now, for general drinking. Any older, and it would have lost something. I really like it. My ex doesn't care at all for me, I don't see why she would bother."

Ysi laughed delightedly as Sadie tickled her, an unstoppable fit of giggles taking over her. She thought how funny it was, that you could laugh so much at something that feels so strange.

Mikey chuckled from deep in his chest, pulling away from her lips slightly to murmur, "I'm not going to hold back, I should warn you." But then he went right back into kissing her again, slowly managing to pick her up and get to his feet, holding her tightly against him.

Prudence said, "If she knows that I have you, she may get jealous and want you because she can't have you. And I'll tear her apart, because nobody steps in on my man. And that's a fact. I don't care if you two were married, if she tries to steal you away she'll be history."

Sadie scooped Ysi up into her arms and stood up, tossing her in the air and catching her easily. "Ysi can fly! Ysi can fly!" Sadie yelled delightedly, tossing Ysi into the air once more, then catching her and tickling her some more.

"Good. I was hoping you weren't going to be gentle with me," Angie whispered before pressing her lips to his once again. She wrapped her legs around his waist, pressing herself up against him tightly, her fingers running through his hair.

"She won't. She never wants to see my face again. And if you think you'll get to her before I do, you'rr wrong there, too," Evander chuckled. "I would never want that woman in my life ever again."

Brandon seemed surprised, as did Ysi, that Sadie could so easily toss and catch a five year old around. Ysi loved every minute of course, giggling and grinning with utter joy.

Mikey chuckled again, this time against her lips, and quickly carried her to their bedroom, still kissing her frantically. He gave a loud groan when she pressed herself against him, then kicked the door shut behind him in one fluid motion.

"Good! Because if you said anything otherwise about her, I'd be very wary. But I still don't trust her. Not a bit!" She crossed her arms and frowned, then reached out and quickly finished her piece of cake.

Sadie laughed and kept tickling the little girl, sitting down on the grass and holding her close. "Rawrrrr!" She growled playfully, grinning. "The tickle monster has got you now! And I'm not ever gonna let you go, either!"

Well, dinner was definitely going to be a lot later than planned. Eventually, Angie pulled away from Mikey's lips, smiling as best as she could as she breathed heavily, trying to calm herself down. There were no words for it, nor did it need any. She gazed up at him adoringly, putting a hand up to his cheek and whispered, "I love you so much, Mikey."

"But you don't have to trust her. If you trust me, then it makes no difference what she does," Evander said to her, finishing his wine and relaxing in his chair.

"She will when the Daddy tickle monster comes fo save her," Brandon said. He put Cosette on his shoulder and slowly crawled over and wrapped his arms around Sadie, growling playfully as he began to tickle her now. Ysi grinned, and smiled at finally being released from the clutches of the tickle monster.

Mikey gazed back at her just as adoringly, then turned and rubbed his face against the palm of her hand, smiling. "I love you too, Angie," he murmured against her skin. "So, so much. And I can only hope... that was good for you. Because I loved it." He panted deeply, needing to gain some control over himself. He rested on his side, wrapping an arm around her gently.

Prudence nodded, then put the rest of the cake back into the fridge, humming softly. She then poured herself another glass of wine, and noted that the bottle was almost empty. "I have to say, this was the best dinner I've had for a very long time."

Sadie scrunched up her face, trying to hold back the giggles that were threatening to erupt from her lungs. But she couldn't take the tickling, and she ended up laughing loudly and squirming slightly. "Oh n-n-no!" Sadie wheezed. "You... g-got me!" She laughed so hard that her eyes began to get watery.

Angie took a moment to catch her breath before she said, "Oh, it was wonderful, Mikey. It's never anything less than that." She cuddled close to his chest, loving just being in his arms, the warmth he gave her.

"And me, too. I loved it, thank you," Evander said to her, smiling gratefully at her. "I'll have to repay the favour sometime, though I doubt my cooking is as good as yours." He generally never got the chance. Angie loved to cook. Brandon did, too. So between the two, there was never much of an opportunity.

Cosette was giggling, too, clapping her little hands delightedly at hearing her mother's laughter. "Ha!" Brandon exclaimed as he continued to tickle Sadie, "She is a Daddy's girl after all!"

Mikey pulled her even closer to himself, smiling softly at her. "Angie... you're the most amazing woman I've ever met. And I want to let you know, that I will always love you, no matter what." He kissed her passionately, but gently.

Prudence beamed at him, then went and stood behind him, wrapping her arms around him and rubbing his chest. "I bet that, even though you say that, your cooking is actually quite wonderful. Maybe better than mine. Maybe." She giggled softly.

Sadie kept laughing and squirming, crying, "No fair! no fair! You're much stronger than I am!" She turned and started trying to tickle Brandon.

"And you're the most amazing man. Ever," Angie murmured, her lips brushing against his skin lightly. She put a hand up to his cheek and kissed him slowly, but with equal passion. "I'll never stop loving you, as long as I live."

"Not better than yours, but not horrifically bad, either," Evander replied, leaning his head back so that it partly rested on her shoulder, and kissed her jawline gently, a few times. "Your cooking is exceptionally wonderful, like everything else about you."

Brandon let go and pretended to be affected by her tickling for a moment, before he grinned and exclaimed, "Ha! Doesn't work on me. My only weakness is my girls, I can't say no to any of you."

Mikey smiled down at her, then searched for his discarded clothing, idly looking around and stretching as he did so. He finally found his boxers and jeans, so he slipped into them, but decided to leave his shirt on the floor. He would just have to pick it up later. "Well, how about I help you fix dinner, huh?"

Prudence chuckled lightly, then kissed Evander on the cheek, before sitting on his lap and wrapping her arms around him. "You know, this is really nice, some peacefulness for a change. i mean, peace all the time would be boring, but every once in a while, it's nice to just relax and have a nice time with you." She kissed him softly, then nuzzled her face into the crook of his neck.

Cosette started whining, which then dissolved into crying as she demanded to be fed by Sadie. Sadie took the baby in her arms and held her close, murmuring words of comfort. "I'm going to take Cosette inside to feed her and change her diaper, okay?" She got to her feet and went up the back porch, then into the kitchen.

Angie slipped out of bed and put on her underwear once she'd found it. She then picked up Mikey's shirt from the floor and took it for herself, putting it on, pushing the sleeves up. "Well, you really don't have to at all, Mikey. I mean, it'll be boring stuff like chopping vegetables or something, since everything else has to be cooked a certain way. If you're still up for it, though, that's okay with me."

"I agree. I mean, I did have too much peace at one point in my life, but now I have you," Evander said, "And we've had a lot of fun, so some quiet time is fine with me now, at last." He wrapped his arms around her and gently and held her against his chest.

"Okay, see you in a minute," Brandon said. In the meantime, Ysi took the most of her alone time with her Uncle B and talked to him about all sorts of things. The things that made her happy, told him of the things that he remembered had once also seemed so important and worrying to him, like every other child.

Mikey said, "Chopping things sounds fun, I'll gladly help you with that!" He beamed at her, then went into the kitchen and washed his hands, getting out a nice sharp knife so he could be of use. "Tell me what to do, my dear, and I'll do whatever it takes to make this meal excellent!"

Prudence sighed softly and said to him, "You know, now that I'm here in your house, you're going to have a hard time getting rid of me. I might not ever want to leave you again." She gave him a cheeky look, but there was seriousness in her eyes.

Sadie sat down in a chair and started feeding Cosette, humming softly as she did so, cradling her gently. "Oh Cosette," Sadie said quietly, "Maybe soon you'll have a brother or sister to play with. Wouldn't that be nice?"

Angie giggled and went through to the kitchen, washing her hands and then searching the cupboards for everything she'd need to make the dinner she'd planned. She smiled and gave Mikey some vegetables to prepare for her. "Just dice them all up into.. say..." She borrowed the knife from him and skillfully and swiftlt chopped up one of the onions, "Pieces of that size, okay? Thank you, love." She went to work on some of the other elements.

Evander put one of his hands to her cheek, caressing it softly. "The more you can stay with me, the better. I already dread the times that you'll ever be away from me. You can stay here as much as you like," he told her softly.

Brandon sat Ysi on his lap for a little while, while she told him all about the bad dreams she'd had last night while he'd been away. "You don't think any of it will really happen, do you?" she asked him. And Brandon had eased all her worries and told her that as long as her Uncle B was around, she'd always be just fine. She smiled sleepily at him and when she finally nodded off, he picked her up, resting her over his shoulder and brought her inside. He smiled at Sadie as he passed through and whispered, "I'll just tuck this one in, see you in a bit," and then took Ysi upstairs to bed.
