The weather here isn't so great either. It's all stormy and stuff. Although, I like thunderstorms xD

Mikey thought about it for a while, then shook his head quickly, giving her a cheerful grin. "Nope, I really don't need anything. I mean, I have clothes at home, there's a cooler or two for the... special packets we might need." He didn't want to say blood in public, worried that someone might overhear and get the gist. Changing the subject he said, "Angie, you don't seem ungrateful at all. You're just a level headed young woman who doesn't want to seem like she's taking advantage of me. And I respect you for that, 100%. It just shows that you have class, in my opinion. I only hope I'm good enough for you..."

Prudence's smile softened quite a bit, and she closed her eyes, thinking about what he was saying to her. She remembered her husband clearly, that was definitely true. She remembered her love for him-- and she remembered losing him, right before she had planned on changing him so they could share eternity together. With Evander, that love was the same, but more mature, deeper, and maybe even a bit more cautious, because they had both felt loss before. She didn't say anything about it, though, and just let the comfortable silence wrap around them like a blanket.

"It better have! Or I'll give them a different reason to be in a hospital," she said, her humor both funny and threatening at once. "And, while I enjoyed the view of you without a shirt, I'm going to have to agree about always keeping a spare. I mean, really, they were practically drooling over you! And then when they saw you with Cosette... ugh! I felt like raising them right off the floor!" Cosette screeched delightedly, as if she would have loved to see a fight. "I bet Cosette could take them down too! Show no mercy!"

We rarely get them here, because we don't often get the sudden changes in temperature.

Angie nodded in agreement with his first set of comments. Pretty much everything else they needed was at home. They would have enough blood to take away with them, so no need to order them at home. "Well, I would have to agree with you, I can't think of anything else we might need." At he second comment, she smiled appreciatively at him. "Thank you, Mikey. I'm glad you understand why I'm reluctant. And, I promise, you are good enough for me. Never doubt that. There are few things we can ever be sure of in our lives, but I promise that you can be sure that, one, I love you, two, I always will, and three, you're very deserving of me."

While Evander was thoughtful, he was also tired. He was so comfortable right now, completely at peace, that he could feel fatigue grabbing hold of him, pulling his eyelids closed, making him yawn. But he didn't want to ruin the moment by simply drifting off.

"You think I didn't notice?" Brandon joked, chuckling. He said to her, "Really, though, I know they shouldn't do it, and it made me feel uncomfortable. But, at the end of the day, it's all pretty harmless. You know they can't possibly steal me from you."

Our weather is somewhat... bipolar? xD It never stays one way.

Mikey swung his arm with hers, leading her out of the mall, grinning. "Angie, when we get home, let's make sure that we call up a travel agent and see if we can go ahead and start planning things for our honeymoon. If we have a semi-set path, or even if we just know certain points that are better than others, we'll have a good outline of where we're going and what we'll need to bring in terms of clothes." He was glad that he was sharing his life with Angie. Honestly, he couldn't see himself with anyone else, nobody from his past, nobody from the town. Honestly, no girl could sing to his soul like Angie could, nobody made him get butterflies like she did. And he knew that Angie needed him just like he needed her.

Prudence smiled up at him and gave him a kiss on the cheek, nuzzling her face against his. "Sleep. I'll still be here when you wake up, okay?" She moved and held him in her arms, pulling the covers over the pair, trying not to make him more awake. She knew that he needed his sleep, especially after the crazy events that had occurred lately. Prudence was surprised that she herself didn't feel a bit of fatigue, even though she had been exhausted earlier.

"If they tried... they'd get what they deserve from me!" She made a fist with her free hand, scrunching up her face in the most threatening manner that she could. Cosette laughed loudly, reaching out to pull on her mother's hair, grinning hugely. Sadie laughed as well and said, "I know, Cosette. I wouldn't really beat anyone up. But still, they made me mad!" t the mention of the word mad, Cosette made her angry face, kicking and flailing her arms like crazy.

Ours can be like that. But never the temperature dramatically. Well, often it feels a lot colder, but that's because it's really windy here because we're near the coast.

"That sounds like a good idea. I actually have a friend who works at one-- like, a really, really old friend. He used to fly out with a group of us when we went travelling to fashion shows, he organised everything like where to go, where to stay. And he'll get us a good deal. So we now also know exactly who to call," Angie said, giggling as he swung their arms as they walked. She sighed contentedly. "It's going to be so perfect.."

Evander chuckled and asked her, "How are you not tired anymore? You've exhausted me." Though, he didn't wait for an answer-- he didn't have enough energy for that right now. His drifted off for a while that afternoon, having not slept for days before that, either.

Brandon said to her, "I think I'm with Cosette. For the next two weeks, anyway. After then, though, I think I'd be pretty petrified of you." He laughed and planted a kiss on her cheek. Soon enough, they were back at the house-- that was a welcome relief for all of them, he was pretty sure. Still, at least they had all slept, and had been healed, so they didn't feel too awful.

Ughhhh.... it's been too hot lately Dx

Mikey grinned and led her back home, his hand still firmly gripping hers, while managing to carry most of the bags in his other arm. Hey, being a vampire did have advantages-- boundless energy and strength. Hauling furniture out of the apartment would be a one man job now, instead of two. He'd been strong before, because of the army, but now his strength had tripled-- probably even quadrupled. Plus, showing off in front of Angie was fun, as long as her eyes were on him.

Prudence smiled and held him for a while longer, before gently laying him down, putting on a robe and going to the kitchen, to fix some dinner for the two of them. Deciding to be fancy, she fixed spaghetti with meatballs (and animal blood mixed in with the sauce.) She also made meatballs, and then decided to fix a highly fattening dessert. Eventually she chose to make red velvet cake, with dark chocolate frosting and raspberries on top.

Sadie beamed at Brandon, ten went inside the house, just wanting to take a nap again. She was still somewhat tired, but she didn't feel like crap, thank goodness. Cosette seemed wide awake, though, screeching and smiling at everything in the house, even inanimate objects.

Finally got around to it xD

Angie had offered to take some of the bags. Obviously, he'd insisted on carrying as many as he possibly could, and she knew he was showing off. She thought it was funny how he liked to do that, and she liked to watch him when he did so-- and she was sure he knew it. They eventually got back to the apartment, and she smiled-- she loved successful shopping trips.

Evander slept for a good while, apparently even more extremely tires than he'd thought. He woke up and the first thing he noticed was the amazing smell drifting from downstairs. He slipped out of bed, putting on a pair of trousers and a shirt before heading down. He found Prudence in the kitchen. He simply leaned against the doorframe and watched her cook for a while.

Brandon lead Sadie inside. He could tell she needed sleep, so he just lead her to their room, taking Cosette into his arms. He wasn't tired at all anymore-- the nap he'd had at the hospital was plenty for him.

xD bahahahaha!

Mikey fumbled with the keys before unlocking the door, and then he cautiously went inside, doing his best not to unintentionally drop anything. He wandered over to the couch and set their bags on it gently, then checked the receipt. "Well, we definitely got our money's worth! We're lucky that the store was having a sale, or we'd be in the hole. Maybe not too bad, but still."

Prudence was basically just throwing the ingredients together, her movements very casual and loose, showing how relaxed she was. She did enjoy cooking, even though she didn't do it very often anymore. When she had been married, she'd cooked all the time. But after his death she began to eat out more, going to parties to try and forget her pain. She'd gotten a reputation, of course, but she would live forever, unlike the snooty ladies of the high society.

Sadie went into their room and laid flat on the bed, falling asleep within minutes. She definitely needed rest, her ribs still somewhat sore from the hurried operation she'd had to go through.

Cosette, however, was wide awake, and she wanted to play with her dad. She squeaked quietly at him, then reached out for her pacifier, which was sticking out from the diaper bag that Sadie had been carrying.

WHY ARE YOU SO FAST?! xD

Angie perched on the arm of the couch and said, "We wouldn't be in the hole, even if they hadn't been on sale, Mikey, I promise you. Besides, you only live once," she laughed, winking at him.

Evander still stayed quiet. He didn't know why, but he always liked to watch people who were good with food cooking. He often had observed Angie, who was certainly excellent at it, cooking something for dinner, especially because she made great foreign food. He didn't say anything at all while he watched Prudence, simply content with being stood there.

Brandon picked up the pacifier, gi [weird word, we never use it xD] giving it to Cosette, and then took her through to the nursery. He sat down on the seat by the window and sat her on his lap. "Hey, my beautiful girl," he said softly, gently kissing her forehead.

I'm sorry!! xD

Mikey laughed and said, "I know... But still, I hate spending too much money, even if it won't actually hurt us or anything." He sat down on the floor, then looked up at Angie. "I had a great time going out with you today," he told his wife. "You make everything a lot more fun than if I happened to be by myself."

Prudence hummed softly, then glanced over her shoulder and saw Evander. "How much longer do you plan on staring at me from over there," she asked playfully, grinning at him. "You can get closer, I'm not going to bite!" She giggled, then turned back to her cooking, making sure it didn't burn.

[What word do you guys use? xD] Cosette screeched happily (thank goodness the walls were thick), and grinned up at Brandon, waving her arms. She drooled slightly, as most babies do, completely content to be with her daddy. She bounced up and down impatiently on his lap, waiting for him to do something.

Well, I meant it in more of a 'how is it possible?' than a 'why do you have to be?' question xD

I was just out stargazing! It's a special day where the Earth passes through a belt and these specs the size of a grain of sand that are found there hit the atmosphere at 140,000mph and burn up. So there are all these amazing shooting star and comet-like things flying through the air that you can see right around this time of night the best. And so many stars! So beautiful <3

Angie smiled and joined him on the floor, sitting closely to him, taking his hand in hers. "I had a great time, too," she told him, "It's wonderful to just do things as ordinary as a shopping trip with you." She leaned her head on his shoulder and squeezed his hand gently.

"Are you sure about that?" Evander asked her with a chuckle, "So you must save that for the bedroom." He stood up from his leaning position and said, "I was quite comfortable just watching you, actually. Besides, I don't want to be a nuisance and get in the way." He walked over and then leaned against a nearby counter. "It all smells delicious, you know."

[Well, a dummy in the UK and a 'goisie', which I admit is even weirder, in SA xD] "Shhh," Brandon hushed her softly, putting his finger in front of his mouth, and then whispered, "Mummy's asleep." He picked her up again in his arms, then decided to go down into the garden. There, they could both make as much noise as they liked. He then held her under the arms and asked her, "Are you ready? You're going to fly. I mean it! Daddy's going to help you!" He swiftly, but still with the greatest of care, lifted her in the air and swooped her this way and that, moving his feet a little.

Oh. Well, i don't know, really. Most of the time I can just think of what my characters would do or say in response pretty quickly xD

Mikey pulled her into his arms, and onto his lap, holding her as close as her could, pressing his back against hers. "It's definitely less boring than going alone, that's for sure. Plus, I really like just spending time with you, even if it isn't anything crazy. I think the little things bring me closer to you."

Prudence had to laugh at his first comment, and said, "Yes, I'll save it for then. Or whenever I should happen to get bored." She grinned, turning down the heat on the stovetop, then grabbing two plates. "The food's done, so you can go ahead and fix your plate. The dessert will be ready later." She poured more animal blood in the sauce, and just a little bit in the pasta itself, so it would absorb it. "I hope you don't mind that I'm sticking blood in there, but I haven't really fed in a while."

Cosette screeched with delight, her dummy falling out of her mouth and onto the ground. But, in the end, she was too busy flying to care. She waved her arms wildly and kicked her legs, looking completely adorable. She laughed wildly, her face alight with joy.

I guess I just take a lot longer to type on the wii, I forget that.

Angie smiled up at him, looking very relaxed in his arms. "I know what you mean. I guess it's just because the little things can sometimes be the dullest things. But I see them in a different way when I'm with you. And just to have somebody to be around is wonderful. You are wonderful," she told him, squeezing his hand again and letting out a soft, content sigh.

Evander smiled and took one of the plates from her. He served himself up a hearty portion, apparently extremely hungry, as well. "Not at all," he replied, to her last comment, "I'm sure it tastes even better with it, so I'm fine with it." He asked for her plate and put some food on it for her, ever the gentleman. Then, he asked her, "Can I get you anything to drink?"

Brandon took her all around the garden, apparently having just as much fun as Cosette was, laughing whenever she did, continuing to swoop her through the air. Eventually, he crashed to the floor-- intentionally--, holding her high above his head, looking up at her and smiling one of his famous crooked smiles at her, which she loved, too, by the looks of things.

[You don't have to call it a dummy, silly xD]

[i think it's awesome! i'm going to call them dummies from now on!]

Yeah, the wii takes forever to type with.

Mikey said, "Yeah. I mean, this apartment doesn't seem lonely or dull anymore, because I have you with me, bringing joy to my life." He kissed her hair, smiling widely, also looking very relaxed while he held her. "And you know what? You're a great person to spend all of my free time with, and you're so sweet and charming and beautiful, and I just love holding you like this, and calling you my wife."

Prudence said, "Well, I have something for us to share. I got Jude to bring it over after he took Lucy back home..." She reached into a brown bag and pulled out an old bottle of wine, never opened. "I've kept this wine from the year the American revolution ended-- 1776." She got out two wine glasses and poured each of them a cup, smiling wistfully. "I thought tonight would be a great night for it. After all, we deserve it."

Cosette screeched and laughed, reaching her arms down to her daddy's face. She babbled cheerfully, kicking and squirming and waving her arms, glad to have playtime after all she'd been through.

"And it's wonderful to be here, and staying with you. I mean, we've all been round for drinks or dinner before. But this is as more than friends, and just you and me. I love being with you," Angie told him. She then smiled and said, "And finally, after so long, I actually have you. You're mine, I'm yours. I can't believe it happened. I never imagined that you would like me the way I liked you."

"Perfect," Evander commented, taking a small sip at the wine before going to set them down on the dining table along with their plates. There was an amazing atmosphere to the house when it was getting dark, candles. He truly owned a beautiful home.

After a little while longer, Brandon brought the baby close to his chest, and smothered her little face in kisses. It was then that tiny feet were heard behind him, coming from the stairs of the porch.

"Uncle B! You're home!" Ysi exclaimed, running and crashing on the grass next to him. She laid close to him and wrapped her arms around him.

In return, Brandon wrapped his free arm around the little girl's shoulders. "There's my other beautiful girl. I missed you," he said softly to her, smiling gently.

"I missed you, too! I was worried, Uncle B!" she replied, burying her face in his shirt.

"I'm all right now. Don't you worry. Your Uncle B's tough, okay?"

Mikey nodded and said, "The dinners and parties were great, make no mistake. But it got very lonely once they were over. It was just me, with nothing to do but watch tv or sleep, or eat. And I didn't want to be a bother, hanging around the house where you guys live, all the time. And, honestly, I can't believe you're mine, either. You could do way better than me-- and don't deny, there are plenty of guys who are much better off than me."

Prudence sat at the dining table and smiled at Evander, murmuring a small thank you. "I had fun cooking the meal, so I hope that you enjoy it, too." She took a sip from her glass of wine, then started eating happily. She hadn't ever stayed with anyone before. She normally left and stayed somewhere else, away from her friends.

Cosette laughed at the feeling of kisses being planted all over her face, then beamed at Ysi. "Nee," she said happily, clapping her hands with delight. She was very glad to have another person to play with. Ysi was probably one of Cosette's favorite people, after her parents of course.

"Yeah. And then we would all go home. Brandon and Sadie to themselves in their room, Kyle locking himself away in his room, Evander to his wife while he was still with her and after that being alone thinking about his divorce, Blaise usually doing something-- she was my best hope of somebody to talk to," Angie said. "And I would look at Brandon and Sadie-- or hear them sometimes, if you get my drift-- and wonder what it must be like to feel so in love with somebody they way they were. And after I began that train of thought, I truly began to feel lonely, and I would hardly sleep." She sighed at his last comment. "How many more times must I tell you?" she giggled slightly, quietly, "Money. What does it really mean to have so much you have no idea what to do with it? How impersonal buying gifts must feel if you don't have to save for that special something. How rich people don't understand that money doesn't equal love or make them more attractive. How they become so obsessed with continuing to make more money, pushing their love life aside. What kind of life is that?" she said. She'd dated plenty of rich-- and even famous-- men, and clearly. it had all come to nothing. "You could live in a cardboard box for all I care. I am in love with you, who you are, not what you own." She pulled his face close, "Besides, any rich man in the world couldn't be my soulmate, could they?" and then kissed him.

Evander happily tucked in. "It's delicious, of course. Thank you for doing all of this, it's wonderful," he said, before eating some more. "It really wasn't necessary, especially because you are my guest, but thank you all the same."

Ysi smiled and looked up from Brandon to Cosette, and then grinned at her.

"Say hi to cousin Ysi, Cosette. She's been looking everywhere for us," Brandon said, gently kissing the baby's forehead.

Cosette smiled and stretched out her little arm. Ysi offered her her hand, which she took, of course, her little fingers gripping Ysi's tightly.

Mikey's face broke into a smile, and he kissed her passionately, cupping her face in between his hands, caressing her skin gently. When he pulled away he murmured, "I love you so much, Angie, and I'm so happy that you love me just the way I am. I promise I won't let you down, and I'm going to keep you close forever and always. You're the only girl for me."

Prudence ate quickly, a big grin on her face as she listened to him. When he finished talking, she laughed and told him, "Evander, I like cooking, and I normally don't get to. So let me indulge myself, darling." She giggled and continued eating, resting her elbow on the table. "And you're very welcome."

Cosette laughed loudly and gave Ysi's hand a squeeze, then tried to pull her fingers into her mouth. But then she got distracted by a butterfly that happened to be passing by. She waved her arms wildly, trying to reach it.

"I love you, too, Mikey," Angie replied, "Though, you already know that. I just love telling you. And I know you love me, too, but I like to hear it. I never get tired of it. Never will." She smiled, gazing up at him adoringly. "Oh!" she said, suddenly remembering dinner. "When should I start getting dinner ready? I mean, when are you hungry?"

"Oh, of course. You can cook anytime you like here," Evander chuckled. "Well, any way in which you wish to indulge yourself, you are most welcome," he added, finishing the last of his meatballs and pouring himself another glass of wine, and offered her some as well.

Brandon shushed Cosette gently, putting a finger to her lips. His calmness immediately stopped her from what she was doing. Ysi was watching him intently as well, wondering what he was doing. He reached out his hand a little, and held completely still. Surely enough, evenetually the butterfly settled on its edge. Slowly, he brought it closer to the girls, who both marvelled at it.

Mikey smiled adoringly at her as well, reaching out a hand to run his fingers through her hair. When she mentioned dinner, he said, "Well, I usually eat dinner around... six in the evening. What time is it now?" He couldn't believe he had forgotten about the wonderful dinner Angie had promised to cook for him. But she seemed to have let it slip from her mind as well, so he didn't feel nearly as bad.

Prudence held out her glass of wine and watched the dark liquid pour into her cup. She glanced up at Evander and said, "Well, I'm glad. Because, while I do love being your girlfriend, I need a small degree of freedom-- I'm sure you know the feeling, too." She laughed lightly, then took a sip from her wine.

Cosette stared at the butterfly, her eyes big with wonder and amazement. She reached out her little hand slowly, then brushed her fingers against the wings of the butterfly. At that moment, the butterfly flew up and landed on Cosette's nose. She blinked a couple of times, before letting out a soft cooing noise.

Angie looked at her watch and then said, "It's half four. I guess I could get started, unless you want to do anything else first?" she suggested, kissing his cheek once before getting up from his lap.

"I completely understand. Even married couples need their freedom every so often. And, well, I know you particularly like to be free. I wouldn't change that about you," Evander said, placing the bottle of wine back down. He pushed his plate towards the middle of the table and sat back in his chair.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" Brandon said, while Cosette continued to stare at the butterfly on the tip of her nose.

"It sure is, Uncle B. How do you do that, though? That never happens to me," Ysi said to him.

"You just have to hold still, hardly breathing, and be patient."

"That's easy for you! You don't have to breathe, and you've lived for so long that you're good at being patient, too," she replied.
