My tamagotchi just evolved into the old lady character but she's only 8 in tama years. is it too late to get her to marry now?

yup sorry, unless youve got an old man lying around on another tama. the two olds can only marry each other (resulting in a special character offspring)
some devices are slightly different with it, what is she on?

the new connects....i have a second one but then i'd have to pause this one and raise an old man on purpose and the first one's battery would probably die on the meanwhile

Only 8 years old?! In the connection 2024?! I thought only at age 9 could become senior
(if the battery die your progress/data is saved (you have to select download after puting the new battery))

Are you completely sure that it become old at 8 years old?

in any case I decided to shelf that particular tama for now, I think it's one that has the unfortunate battery voltage defect so I've been paying more attention to the second one I booted haha

I cant believe they age so quickly! I wish we could keep them for much longer! As a kid, I thought they turned into oldies at 90 days..
