"I mean, it must be strange. Going from being a vampire hunter to becoming what you were trying to kill."

Jessica paused. "I don't know anymore. They know you'll still... care about me, it would just be easier for them to get me."

Lucien nodded. "Well, you're right, but it's not that bad. I have a hot vampire that I get follow around, get to kill whoever I want, I'll probably survive the war now. It's all good."

Damien nodded. "It's up to you Jessica, so think about it."

Nicola grinned, particularly at his first reason. "True. I completly agree with you, you do have more chance of surviving." She frowned. "Got any hunter friends?"

"I will. But right now, I'm gonna get cleaned up. You should too, your chest is disgusting."

"Not really, most of them already died." Lucien admitted.

Damien nodded. "Yeah, good idea."

"Well, I'm not surprised." Nicola said, glancing at a clock before turning back to Lucian. "Were there many of you?"

Jessica nodded, disappearing upstairs.

Damien followed her, and went into one of the bathrooms to wash up.

"No, there weren't allowed to be more than 50 at a time. The higher ups wanted to keep it secretive and exclusive."

"Urgh. I guess getting involved with vampires really messes up how you look." Jessica sighed from another bathroom.

"The higher ups?"

"Ah, I see. Sounds like an interesting system." Nicola sighed. "When do you think you'll be off again?"

Jessica sighed. "Think we can mock up a bed for me somewhere?"

"What do you mean?" Lucien asked.

"Just use mine if you're cool with that, I'm good on the couch."

"I mean, " Nicola sighed, "When are you going to go back for the girl? Whatever her name is? It's getting late."

"Only if you're sure... I can always go on the couch."

"Excellent. I expect good results, Lucian."

"Okay..." Jessica gave a small smile. "See you, then."

Damien nodded, and laid on the couch.

"I'm only killing the girl, right?" Lucien confirmed.

Jessica sighed, rubbing her eyes as she crashed onto the bed. She curled up under the covers, not falling asleep just yet.

"Murder her. Drain her. Whatever you want. Just don't touch Damien unless you have to fight him off."

"Okay, I'm going to head out now. You'll be here when I get back, right?" Lucien asked, afraid she was going to leave while he was gone.

"Of course I will, Lucian. I have to hear how you've done, remember?" Nicola said, rolling her eyes and waving her hand. "Now go."

Jessica was only half asleep now, curled up underneath the covers with her eyes closed.

Lucien was outside Damien's house, watching Jessica. He slowly opened the window, but didn't enter yet.
