Mello smirked. "You're just too stupid to realize that Tala will beat you down if you talk s**t 'bout her."

Sakura looked down at the chain. "It's gonna take a bit to get used to this..."

Light was somehow still passed out.

"You can't blame me for saying something about the handcuffs," Matt said, shaking his head.

"Have you never been chained to anyone, then?" L asked, starting to walk over to his chair

Mello shrugged. "Eh... I guess not."

Sakura shook her head, following after L. "Never."

 

[.chasm.]

"Besides, chains are more your style," Matt said, prodding Mello and starting to smirk again.

"Oh..." L lifted his hand to his mouth again when he climbed onto his seat.

 

[chollands]

Near was SO annoyed! "Why does no one check their phones!" He said to himself. He got to the HQ building and broke down the door. To realise it wasn't locked.

"Oops" he said. He picked up the door and put it up as if it was still hinged. He ran up the stairs into a room filled with bickering.

"Uh..." he said looking at the scene "Why are you acting like children...?"

Mello smirked. "Yeah, you-" He turned and saw Near, anger flaring inside him. "I thought you were dead!"

Sakura sat in her chair next to L. She turned to look at Near, tilting her head. "...Near?"

 

[.chasm.]

Matt whipped around when he saw Mello's face, knowing that there was only one person who could get him worked up. "Near? What the hell?"

L didn't turn around, instead motioning to the chair beside him. "Hello, Near. Take a seat."

Mello was pi**ed. He stomped over to the couch, flopping down angrily.

Sakura looked from L to Near and back to L, wondering how Near had gotten into the building in the first place.

 

[chollands]

"Why don't you answer my calls?! I had to fly all the way here! And Mello why did you think I was dead?! Unless I'm a ghost which I have a 99.99% chance of not being I've been living all this time! Here I got you this..." Near tossed Mello a giant chocolate bar from the duty free shop in the airport. "Oh and hi Sakura." Near knew he was talking a bit to casually but he felt an odd atmosphere in the room so he decided to be "normal" Near sat down on a chair.

Mello grinned, perking up a bit when he caught the giant chocolate bar.

Sakura tilted her head. "Uh... Hi, Near... Long time, no see..."

Light finally awoke, sitting up. "Huhn?" He looked down at his wrist, seeing that it was no longer chained to L. He then turned to see Sakura chained to L and an albino kid. "What the..???"

 

[chollands]

"Hi there person! Are you that Kira I'be been hearing about?" He smiled, Near DID have other intentions. "And Sakura... Why are you chained to L?"

 

[.chasm.]

"Nice to know that lifetime rivalries can be olved with chocolate," Matt said, sitting down next to Mello.

"Light, you can go to the club with Matsuda, Matt and Mello tonight," L said, chewing his thumb. He turned to Near, tilting his head. "Do you know anything about the case already?"

 

[nokotchi]

Mello grinned, tearing open the chocolate. He turned to L. "...What did you say about us going to a club with Matsuda?"

Sakura looked down, playing with the cuff around her wrist, she didn't like Near much.

 

[chollands]

"Well with my skills I found out Light Yagami is the suspect in this case and also that he kills in peculiar ways" He stared at L "Catch me up."

 

[.chasm.]

L span his chair around to face Mello. "Didn't I tell you? You and Matt are taking Matsuda out to a club tonight. Light too." He glanced at Near. "This will have to wait until later."

 

[nokotchi]

Mello looked at L in disbelief. "What the hell? Since when were you the one to make plans for us???"

Sakura turned to her computer, just staring at it.

Light tilted his head. "What? Why do I have to go?? Make this little albino go!"

 

[.chasm.]

L looked back at Mello with wide eyes. He decided to ignore the question. "You're not usually the type to turn down going to a club, Roger told me. Why now?" He glanced down at Light. "You should go because you haven't left this building in a while."

"Sakura. I'm. Right. HERE! I don't want to go to a club. I want to know about this case! How about you go, Sakura?" Said near not knowing that Sakura and L are together.

 

[nokotchi]

Mello sighed, leaning back. "Well... It's not all bad... At least the sheep's not going..."

Light frowned. "So? I don't want to go out with them!"

Sakura turned around slowly, attempting a slight smile at Near. "Heh, I'd rather not, Near."
