January had tried her best to remember, but by now her thoughts were distorted. She saw Eon as a mere human, who didn't mean anything to her. She scraped her claws against the ground once more, giving him one last chance to flee.

By now Eon realized how stupid an idea this was, and he was too terrified to move.

January crouched down, her teeth bared. Her eyes were no longer a soft pink, but rather a bloody red. She slowly began to stalk closer to Eon, ready to kill.

Eon's emotions of fear were starting to take over. He just wanted it to be done with. Without any control, he sped up time around him.

January woke the next morning. The silver spike was stabbed into her chest, inches from her heart. She looked around panically for Eon. Her breath was jagged from the spike that was lodged in her chest. "Eon?" she called. She prayed silently that she hadn't killed or hurt him.

Eon was no where to be seen, the only hint was the stream was tainted red from blood...

January began to tremble as she approached the stream. "No..... Please, no...." she whispered as she saw the red in the stream. She sat by the stream and began to sob. She then stood and continued calling for Eon, unwilling to give up hope that he was alive.

Eon slowly got up, covered in his own blood. He didn't know where he was, he couldn't see anything, it was pitch black. he heard the sound of a waterfall, and looked around. The last thing he remembered was January attacking him, and falling in the stream.

January breathed in, only to smell stale blood.... Eon's blood mixed with her own. She checked the stream, walking along it and wading into it to see if he was in it. She came close to the pool at the base of the waterfall and dove in, looking around for him. She came up for air and set herself at the edge of the water near the waterfall. There was no sign of him. She sat and quietly cried.

Eon followed the sound of the waterfall, occasionally bumping into the walls. After a few minutes, he saw light, and walked over to it. He was behind the waterfall, the stream he had fallen into was infront of him. Taking a sigh of relief, he swam out and over to land, looking at January. "Don't cry, I'm here."

January hugged Eon gently,"Why didn't you run?" she asked quietly. "I thought I had killed you...." she whispered as she placed a hand over the silver spike in her chest.

Eon looked in horror at the spike. "Please, take that out of you. You didn't kill me, I'm fine." he said softly. "And I didn't run because I couldn't just leave you alone."

"I really wish you would've left... Then I wouldn't have attacked you." January said in a choked up voice. She twisted the spike out, whimpering in pain. When it was out, a trickle of blood ran down her shirt.

Eon shook his head. "I couldn't leave you." he whispered. "Now let's get you home and washed up."

January nodded slightly and stood. She examined Eon sadly, looking over his cuts and bites. She placed her hand gently on a large gash on Eon's shoulder. "I did this to you...." she whispered.

"It is my fault..... If I had been paying attention, I would've known it was the full moon and I would have been far from you and everyone else..." January replied, helping Eon up.

January forced herself to return the smile. "Let's head home.... I have some first aid stuff at my house." she told him.
