"I don't know, how do you make fire come out of nowhere?" Tarou asked, "Scientifically, heat never goes away. It transfers from one object to another until the objects are of equal heat." Tarou had also been a science teacher for a few years. "but I think logic might be moot because you make fire come out of nowhere in the first place."

"It's easy." Axel started to explain, "I learned this a couple years ago. It's the most logical explanation I have. You know atoms, right? When they vibrate, it creates heat, correct? Basically, by creating the atoms to vibrate, I can heat things up to the point of combustion. If I focused enough, I could set you on fire, but it's harder." He pointed to his head, "All brain power. Pyrokinesis."

At least that's what I remember.
