Elaina smiled in content, liking his affectionate touch and the beautiful sound of his voice.

Christien seemed to lose himself in the music. It was something he was so passionate about, and it showed in the emotion that shone from every every word, syllable and note, even. He finished the first song and then sang one of his favourite songs-- Iris, by the Goo Goo Dolls. It was funny how his accent totally disappeared when he sang a song in English.

Oh I love that song!!

Elaina continued to watch him, enthralled, finding her foot tapping gently to the beat of his singing. It was something that happened involuntarily all the time. Elaina constantly had some form of music running on her mind, whether it was song lyrics, or beats, or a simple instrument melody. So, it was a real treat, for her, to listen to Christien.

Me, too <3

Not many people know it, though.

Christien came to an end, leaning back against the wall of the shelter, looking down at her with a gentle smile and still running his fingers through her hair.

Haha I like Let Love In by them as well.

"That was beautiful." Elaina commented with a content sigh, scootching her way over to sit next to him, leaning against the wall as well, her cheek resting on his shoulder.

Their song I'm Still Here, from Treasure planet is also one of my favourites.

Christien smiled, wrapping an arm around her shoulders, "I'm glad you liked it. I hope you would. Your opinion is very important to me," he said, "I'll play guitar for you sometime, too."

Oh, I need to hear that lol

"And I'll play piano for you." Elaina said with a smile, snuggling into his chest as he held her. "I wish I could compose music though, but my brain doesn't work that way."

It is love <3 His voice is just.. I don't know, there's something about John Rzeznik's voice that I can't describe.

"I'd like to hear that a lot. I'm glad you share an interest in music with me, too," Christien replied softly, enjoying the closeness right now as he held her. "Some people are fantastic musicians and it just never comes to them. I think you've got to be unafraid of making mistakes when it comes to writing music.. Things sometimes sound wrong but, in actual fact something as little as changing one note or chord or getting another person to play it to you makes so much difference."

Oh, I know, right! It's like...perfection haha. I always listen to it when I'm sad/tired.

"I'm always afraid of making mistakes, though. I suppose I'll try again, if you'll help me, some day." She looked up at him, kissing him on the cheek gently before nuzzling her head back into the crook of his neck. "If we ever get off this island, which, I think, just maybe, we will."

I just discovered Alicia Keys' first album in my Mum's music pile. I got the piano book from the library a few weeks ago, but I've never actually listened to the whole thing. So, so different to her new stuff, quite jazzy in a way, very piano orientated. It's genius.

"You just have to stop worrying. I worry about a lot of things, but music.. It's an escape from that, so if you really feel what you're doing, all the worries about mistakes go away," Christien said. "And of course I will. I think the best place to start will be a blues piece, because it's so free, almost nothing sounds wrong." He smiled, glad that he'd eased her anxiety about never getting off the island.

Yeah, I like how she changed the sound of her music a bit. Lately, I've been looking through all the piano music I have but nothing sparks any interest.

"I'm looking forward to it." Elaina replied happily. "So, what else calms you besides music? Ice-Skating has always been my guilty pleasure. I wish we could have been stranded in an ice-rink."

Hmm.. I've got a lot of my favourite albums in Piano/Vocal/Guitar format, so I've always got something interesting to do.

"What's guilty about ice skating?" Christien chuckled, "I like it, too, but I think I prefer roller blades because you can go all through the city on them. Other than music.. I suppose most sports that I don't play competetively for are nice. Like, just kicking a soccer ball around the garden. And I like to cook, too."

Oh, lucky. I need to buy another book-thing haha.

"Well, I basically lived at the ice-rink. I'm sure they got sick of me there." Elaina said with a giggle before her eyes opened wider with curiousity. "You cook? Oh, could you teach me someday? I'm really quite terrible at all things food."

Amazon are great, for price, quick delivery and selection. I love it <3

"You cannot possibly hope to live in France for a while if you can't cook," he teased, "So I think I'll have to. Every French person loves food, and I love to cook, too. So I'll teach you, definitely."

I will check on there, thanks! :)

"I fear it might be too difficult." Elaina said playfully, pouting and looking up at him helplessly. "I burn everything I touch!"

Elaina nodded, "I guess I'll just have to be the man and take out the garbage and fix things." It was a lame joke but that didn't stop her from giggling a tad.

"Sure and I'll just be the full time woman and clean everything and nag as well," Christien added, chuckling. Yeah, it had been a pretty bad joke from her, but he decided to make it just as bad for himself anyway.

"That was terribly lame." Elaina stated, smirking up at him, "And, yes, I am extremely sorry I made that joke." She leaned backward, her head now on on the back of the shelter, breathing out loudly.

"That's alright. I forgive you, so long as you redeem yourself in the kitchen or at the piano," Christien laughed. He went quiet and just listened to the sound of the ocean now, it was difficult to see it, because it was dark by now, but it was a beautiful sound, to him.
