"Hmm, that is a good idea, yes. Although, now, I do not know what to do." Elaina said, pouting and shifting her weight all onto one hip, hands still crossed on her chest. Truthfully, Christien had been her distraction from the extremely important fact that they were stuck on the island, and now that he wasn't, it was beginning to weigh down on her.

Christien sighed, pursing his lips thoughtfully. "So we couldn't get stranded somewhere civilised.." he said, mostly to himself. It was difficult being here, with nothing to eat and drink but coconuts and almost nothing to do. Thank goodness Elaina was here to keep him sane and happy. "I'm surprised that someone hasn't even sent anything.. The airline must know there was a crash."

"Maybe they think we're all dead." Elaina said softly, her voice twinged with an obvious strain, almost as if she was struggling not to cry, which she feared might happen soon.

Christien got up and held his arms out for her, to give her what was hopefully a comforting and reassuring hug. He spoke softly as he told her, "Don't worry too much.. I think that they would have to check where the plane crashed and things like that.. They couldn't just leave families not knowing about their loved ones and they can't leave people stranded somewhere." He was sure it had to be true, and he needed to reassure himself with that thought almost as much as he did Elaina.

"I hope so." She whimpered, helplessly letting herself go limp in his arms, as to focus her energy on not suddenly crying her eyes out. "It's hard not to think badly." Elaina murmured. "It's such a terrible situation."

"I know, I know.." Christien agreed, nodding and rubbing her back gently while hugged her to keep her calm. "But I make this promise to you that one way or another, we'll get out of here.. I'll figure something out. It can't be somewhere too far away from a main land if planes just fly over it all the time.." He sighed quietly. "It's hard but we'll be okay."

Elaina gulped down a sob and finally pulled away, chomping painfully on her lip to distract herself. "Ok, ok. We'll get out of this. We'll be fine." She said basically to reassure herself. "Thanks for your help with everything."

"It's okay. That's what I'm here for," Christien smiled at her, to let her know he was here for her. "And for now we've got a shelter.. I think there's probably more than just coconuts that could be edible here. We'll just get by until then.

Elaina nodded, "What happens when they run out?" No, it wasn't a great thought, not at all, but her mind was birmming with paranoid thoughts and she had to get them out somehow.

Christien said, "There are a lot of palm trees here, for a start. Second, it's hot, so we're inclined to eat less. Also, I think there should be a lot to eat in the forest.. I'm sure there's enough to keep us going." He figured going over the consequences if he was wrong wouldn't help at all, since she seemed to get paranoid very easily.

"Oh." Elaina said, suddenly exhausted from emotional and a tad bit of physical stress. "I'm going, err, to sleep. For a while. Wake me up if you need something." She mosied over to the shelter, not really fully paying attention to anything, and lied down clumsily, closing her eyes.

"Okay.." Christien said, not really able to say anything else because she'd already gone a fair way before his mind processed what she'd said, because he was confused. He wasn't tired yet, so he went for a swim by himself for a little while before returning to the shelter to sleep as well.

Elaina rolled over restlessly, her eyes closed yet still awake. She hadn't been able to sleep, she simply had listened to the sounds of the outside world and thought to keep herself distracted. Upon hearing Christien, she opened one eye just to check it was him before closing it once more.

Still unable to sleep Christien wondered how to amuse himself in a way that wouldn't disturb Elaina and that would also help him get to sleep-- and, apparently, she needed help with that, too. He missed his music, he thought, more than anything right now. So he sang softly to himself some of his favourite songs in the hope that that would comfort him.

Elaina looked up at him with admiration, forgetting her troubles momentarily. "You're voice is...amazing!" She purred-not literaly, of course, but her voice was low and affectionate, resembling a purr. "Sing more, please, love."

"I doubt you know it." She said, but decided to say it anyway, "Stupid in love by Rihanna." Elaina rolled to the side, curling herslef in a tiny ball and gazing up at Christien.

"I'll sing you a French song, first, how about that?" he said He idly yet affectionately stroked his fingers through her hair, and began to sing for her. His voice just had a nice tone to it, but it was difficult to describe what it was that made it that way. It was very clear, yet mellow and just nice to listen to.
