Morgan bounced in her seat happily. "I'm glad. I like her a lot. And Cody approves of you. Kyle approves of what I've told him about you, and feels kinda bad that he told you to stay out of my pants." She stood out and tossed what was leftover of her salad into a near by trash can.

"That's good. She also said that, you know, if you need a girlfriend or anything, just to talk to or hang out with, she's up for anything. I mean, I wasn't sure how many other friends you have, but the offer's there whenever you want it," Asher told her. He smiled when she mentioned her brothers' thoughts about him. "Oh, really? Well, you can tell Kyle there's no hard feelings," he chuckled. "He's just being protective. You should thank him for it."

Morgan smiled sweetly. "Well, tell Sam that I greatly appreciate it, and that I will take her up on that offer, soon enough." She yawned and said, "I should probably get some more sleep tonight..."

Sorry. I'm hitting a massive writer's block, plus I'm just kinda in a bad mood today, so I can't concentrate. :/

"Yeah. Sorry for keeping you up last night," Asher replied with a chuckle, getting up off the bench and hesitating a moment before slipping his hand into hers. "Next time you should just say, 'I don't care if you're having a good time. That's not what dates are for. Now take me home.' And no matter how much I beg and plead you and give you puppy dog eyes- which, I admit, with eyes like these, is hard to achieve, but that's beside the point-, refuse me." He smiled slightly. "You've got me going off on one again. A man of few words turns to a man of far too many in your presence."

That's okay. You know, if ever you're feeling like you just can't get the words out, I won't take it as a personal offence if you don't write anything until you've got something ;] I hope you feel better soon, though.

"Those eyes don't need to look like puppies to win me over. And I can't refuse you, so that's out of the question. I'll just have to skip math again and take a nap." Morgan said, shrugging. She stood up and brushed off her pants before ruffling her hair a bit, to get all of the snow out. She pulled Asher up and added, "And you can talk to me as much as you'd like, I don't mind a bit."

Asher smiled. "And I should say the same for you. Morgan Doyle, I'm not sure if you're quite aware just how much you have me wrapped around your finger. But I like it there, so it's okay," he told her. "That's good. I just would love to know how you do it. Though I'm not sure you'd know, either." He moved his free hand, running his fingers through her hair towards the back. It had purpose, but he also just liked that he could do it. "Missed a bit of snow," he explained.

Morgan grinned and squeezed his hand. "Thanks." she murmured as Asher ran his hand through her hair. She closed her eyes and sighed. She loved when people messed with her hair. She chuckled a bit and asked, "Are you sure it's not vice versa? I'm pretty wrapped around your finger, too, you know."

"Oh, you are? Well, if you say so, then, it is vice versa," Asher replied with a wide smile. They set off on a sort of aimless walk while they talked, with no sense of going anywhere specific. He didn't mention that he didn't know she was quite so smitten with him as he was with her, to the extent that she would use that expression, too. He pondered for a moment, before he said, "I don't know if you remember, it wasn't long after we met, we talked about.. love. I don't know if I'm only speaking for myself or not, but I think.. One day, when we're ready, I could love you, if you'd let me and want me to." It seemed like an odd thing to say after he'd said it, but somehow he thought she should know that he would be capable of loving her one day, and that he was perfectly serious about them being together.

Morgan wasn't sure how to respond to his whole speil. She opened her mouth to speak, yet nothing came out of her mouth. She just wasn't used to this treatment. "I-I'm not sure what to say. I mean, I really like you to, but like I said, I'm not so sure love exists. But I'm not saying I'm willing to take the risk.." She looked down at the snow, not sure of what else to say. She knew she sounded pessimistic, but it was hard for Morgan to even wrap her mind around their relationship.

Asher nodded, then stopped and pulled her into his arms gently. "Don't say anything, then. You don't ever have to feel obliged to with me, with anything that we say or do, okay?" he told her, "If you never come to love me, that's okay. I'd rather you never told me than tell me if you don't really believe it." He pressed his lips to her forehead and said, "Maybe I'll change your mind one day. But right now I'm just happy as we are."

Morgan couldn't look Asher in the eyes. "I-I'm sorry..." She broke away from him and started to walk back towards the school. "We better get back to class." she mumbled, tightening her coat around herself. She walked faster, feeling pretty sh`tty for what she had said to Asher. She knew she had a problem with saying what she felt, and sometimes it hurt people. She didn't want to hurt Asher. It just came out. Sort of like word vomit.

Asher looked confused as she walked away from him. "For what..?" he murmured as he watched her. Not being a people person didn't help in situations like this, and he just couldn't understand what she'd meant. He suddenlt resented himself for even brining something like that up around her. He walked to class silently, deeply troubled once more by what had happened.

Morgan slumped into her seat in math, this being one of the first days she actually showed up. But, as soon as she realized where she was, she stood back up and walked out of the room. She headed for the library, of all places. She sat in one of the far back corners. WIth her head in her hands, she realized what a mess she was. She was pregnant, she had a screwed up home life, she didn't want to hurt Asher like she'd been hurt before, but she still felt like she was slowly, but surely, tearing him apart.

Asher arrived in Biology and sighed as he sat on his stool at the desk with whom he shared with no lab partner, since he'd come in and made the class odd numbered. He didn't mind that, of course, and at least he could sit and think and not have to worry about paying attention to whoever was next to him. He got out his books though he knew he wouldn't be working from them. He just didn't understand what was going on anymore. He wasn't angry about it at all, he just wished he wasn't so confused, and he wished he knew more about all of this.

Riley strolled into the library, and, seeing Morgan, headed over towards her. He plopped next to her. "Hello there, beautiful. Can I get your name?"

Morgan rolled her eyes and tried to ignore Riley. "You know my name." she finally growled at him.

"Oh, that's right. I didn't recognize you. I'm not used to seeing you this upset. Asher back out on you already?" Riley asked with mock concern.

Morgan shook her head. She knew Riley was trying to get into her head, and she wasn't about to let it happen.

Biology was like a blur of jumbled events and thoughts that neither made sense put together, nor apart. The whole time, Asher sat pondering, occasionally looking at the board to remember the notes he would make later at some point, when he felt like he could, anyway. He desperately wanted to know what he'd said, or what she was feeling, but he had no idea what he should do. If he should just leave her, or try to find her, and then, what would he say when they talked about it? And yet, all the while, he didn't question whether being with Morgan was worth all of this. Because to him, it was. As long as they figured it out, it didn't matter to him.

Riley had continued to make snide remarks about Asher. Morgan stood up and said, "Shut the f`ck up. I'm not going back to you." She threw her bag over her shoulder and left. Once she got to her locker, she pulled a pack of cigarettes out at looked at them for a long time. Her hands shook when she realized that she couldn't have any. "Eff." she practically yelled, throwing the carton on the floor. She didn't know what to do. In the end, she threw everything inside the tiny metal locker and grabbed her coat and car keys. She had a leotard in the car, and she knew what she needed to do in order to think straight.

The bell rang and Asher made no effort to stand up for a good minute until he pulled himself from his seat to go to his locker. His head ached and the unpleasant sound of folders and books scraping and hitting the insides of the lockers felt like it was amplified several times over. He winced and threw everything except his bag in there. He got out his phone when he didn't see Morgan around and left her a voicemail, unable to get his fingers to work the buttons to text her. "Hey, it's just me. Look, whatever it was that happened.. I'm sorry. I'm sorry I said those things. I should have known better after everything you've been- and are- going through. Don't feel like you have to call me, I just wanted you to know." He hung up there and grabbed his car keys. He figured he would just go home, or get a coffee somewhere or something, but he wanted to get out now that he could.

By the time Asher had called Morgan, she already had the music cranked and was twirling and whatnot around the dance studio. Her body moved and shifted practically perfectly along with the rhythm of the songs. Morgan didn't think about anything except where her body was going, and what move to throw in next. She was sweating, and the leotard was already pretty damp. It wasn't like she cared, right now. Blowing off everything through dance was making her feel better.

Asher just went home after a while, and was greeted by Sam, first cheerfully, but then she realised something was wrong. Asher tossed his phone onto the couch and ran a hand back through his hair.

"What happened?" she asked him placing a hand on his arm.

"Honestly? I don't really know. One minute, things were fine. Then I don't know if something I told her upset her or.. She just left and I don't know what to do," Asher replied. "I don't want to call calling after her or anything, you know? I'd hate to be all clingy when she might not want to see me."

"Oh, Asher. You're one day in and already in something I don't even know where to begin helping you with," Sam said, and they both had to chuckle a little bit. "But I have a feeling she just needs to let off some steam about something, and maybe you should just wait a while for her."
