Alexander looked away from her, the awkwardness getting to him. When she thanked him he had no idea how to respond so he didn't, he just sat there and let thensilence loom over them. "Are you sure you're okay?" He asked finally.

She wiped her eyes with a sniffle, and then nodded. "Yes, I'm fine... well... I will be, someday," she murmured, putting the ice pack on her cheek again. She inhaled sharply from the sudden cold, but then it felt much better against the bruise. She hoped it would make the swelling go down a bit before she put more makeup on. She looked over at Alexander and smiled ruefully. "So there you have it. You wanted to know about my life, and now you do."

Alexander exhaled a breath, sounding almost like a sigh and nodded slightly. "You can say that again. " he muttered under his breath. In this short time she had been there he learned more about her than he probably cared to. He almost made a joke about how he had learned more about her than he knew about most of the girls he was sleeping with combined, but he didnt, figuring it was probably really bad timing.

Sterling turned up the volume of the stereo in his Jeep, drumming his fingers on the steering wheel along to the beat of his Three Days Grace album as he drove. He sung along, not caring that other drivers were flashing him annoyed looks as he drove by. Sterling shook his head and grinned to himself, tickled that even the people of this tiny town were so easily swayed by a little loud music. He turned into the parking lot of his aunt's apartment complex and pulled into what he now considered his parking space. After pulling the keys out the ignition and grabbing the box out of the back seat, Sterling locked the car and made his way up to the apartment. With a swift turn of his wrist he pushed the door open and stepped inside of the tidy apartment, dropping his box on the couch before making his way to the kitchen. Sterling opened the fridge and pulled out the milk, taking a long swig directly out of the jug when he noticed a note placed on the small table by the pantry. "Sterling, went grocery shopping. Be back later. Love you! -Aunt Mel" Sterling nodded after reading the note and, after putting the milk back into the fridge, began rummaging through the kitchen drawers. He needed to find some duct tape.

"And you said I'd never get any," she said sarcastically, trying to joke about her misfortunes. But it just made her feel more alone. He didn't understand what was happening to her; nobody did, really. It was one thing to have an abusive boyfriend, or have some guy have his way with you... but not your father. He was supposed to protect you, to take care of you and keep you away from the pains of the world. But hers was tearing her life apart. Her only escape was school.

"Ow ew. Don't even say that. That is not funny. " Alexander said shaking his head trying to get the thought out. He couldn't imagine what she was going through. Home was supossed to be that place you were safe. Your parents were supposed to e the ones to protect from people hurting you, a girls father was supposed to be the one making sure guys didn't take advantage of her not the one who was doing the taking.

"Hmmm," Sterling said to himself after digging through all of the drawers in the apartment. Out of everything to keep in a house one would think tape would be at least one thing on the list. Apparently not for Aunt Mel. Sterling smiled and gave a slight chuckle before debating whether or not he wanted to drive to the store to get some. "I'll just see if Aunt Mel's neighbor has some." Sterling had a brief encounter with Alexander a few days ago. They had hardly spoken but he seemed like a cool guy and more than likely had a roll of tape to spare. Sterling walked out of the apartment and approached Alexander's a few doors down. He could makeout the faint murmur of voices coming from within the apartment. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything," Sterling said aloud to himself before ringing the doorbell.

Chloe headed off to the local super store. She remembered the day they they opened it. A store that contained both food and daily house hold items. The women of St.Aislin were so happy. Now they could do all of their shopping at one store. And in a town as small as this that was huge news. Cloe spent about fifteen minutes outside the super market entrance, where they kept the shopping carts. She used those little hand wipes they had to sanitize the handle of a cart and pull it out of the way to meticulously clense it some more. At least a dozen people passed her, shaking their heads as they went by before she even made it into the store.

Alexander heard the knock at the door. He stared at the door for a minute, almost as if wishing the person would either just go away or the door would some how open itself up so he wouldnt have to do it. He reluctantly got up and pulled the door open. "What?" He grumbled tiredly. "I really don't have time for this right now."

Sterling' s eyes widened and his eyebrow raised, quite taken aback by Alexander's annoyance. Sterling shoved his hands in his pockets and gave an awkward sideways smile. "Sorry man. I didn't mean to bother you. I was wondering if you might have a roll of packing tape I could borrow?" Sterling suddenly felt stupid asking for such a small thing when this guy was obviously upset about something. He hoped Alexander wouldn't be too miffed with him.

Sinead got up and peered out from behind Alexander, keeping her distance from the door. She immediately recognized Sterling from school, and pulled her hat on so it would cast a shadow over her bruise. She remained silent and perfectly still, just staring back ad forth between the two young men, then retreated to the bathroom, closing the door behind her. She went ahead and started to do her makeup again, fixing the smudges around her eyes and making her bruise look pretty much invisible. She gave a soft sigh and stared at herself, then at a razor that was in the shower. She wondered how painful it would be if she just did away with herself... Shaking her head, she pushed those thoughts away, reminding herself that her mother needed her.

"No, I don't think I do. " Alexander told the male glancing around. He didn't normally have tape nor any other small household objects around the house. Most normal people would Leo that sort of stuff but he didn't really ever find a need for a lot of those things so he didn't buy them. " Sorry. I'm sure you can probably get a roll just a bout anywhere. " he told him smiling slightly before closing the door. He really hated dealing with people, he wasn't a very friendly person and he also wasn't found to be very easy to get along with.

Wow, Sterling thought to himself. His first impression of Alexander sure was wrong. He seemed like such a cool dude at first. They had but a brief encounter before so it would make sense that Sterling didn't have this guy totally figured out. He put a hand on the door before Alexander could shut it completely. "Thanks dude," he said with a smile. "Hey if you ever need anything or just want to hang out sometime let me know." He nodded to Alexander with a grin. "I need to make some friends seeing as I haven't been here but a few weeks."

Sinead came out of the bathroom as Alexander closed the door, peeking at Sterling again. She raised an eyebrow when he stopped the door from shutting and began to talk. He seemed like a decently nice guy, despite his reputation of also being a womanizer. Huh, they lived right next door to each other. How ironic. She had to stifle a giggle at her own musings, then sat down on the couch, pouring herself a glass of whiskey. She sipped from it slowly, enjoying the warmth coursing through her.

Alexander made a sighing noise when Sterling kept the door propped open. He gave Sterling a weary glance, was he seriously trying to be his friend? He didn't need any friends. He had a couple of people that he tolerated but never actually anybody he'd consider a friend. "Thanks. I'll be sure to remember that." He told the male. He raised an eyebrow, looking over his shoulder at the girl on his sofa."What are you giggling about?" He asked taking the glass from her hand and given her a stern look. "Stay out of my alcohol," He warned her, drinking what was left of the whisky in the glass.

"Mímhúinte!" Sinead said briskly, glowering at Alexander and standing up. "Whatever happened to being polite to ladies?" She crossed her arms and went to the kitchen, getting a glass of water. "Besides, it was one glass! You act as if I were going to drink the whole bottle." She sat back down on the couch and shook her head. "Seriously." She looked away from him and toward the door. "You know, it's funny that Sterling lives next door to you."

Sterling walked silently to his Jeep and hopped into the front seat. He sat there for a moment pondering what had just happened. He hoped that Alexander would warm up to him eventually. He stuck the keys int the ignition and started the car, his music suddenly blaring. Sterling slipped on his aviator sunglasses and and peeled out of the parking lot, the familiar exhilaration of driving his Jeep flooding through him. Off to get the tape.

"Don't curse at me. And if you're going to do it at least do it in English so I understand." Alexander told her closing his door when he realized Sterling had disappeared from the other side. "And besides, you get nutty when you drink. " He rolled his eyes setting the now empty glass on the endtable "Why is that funny?" He questioned, not really finding any humour in his neighbours.

Chloe was just about to finally go into the store when an eldery woman bumped into her cart and placed her hand half of Chloe's and half onto the cart handle when she apologized sweetly. Chloe forced a polite smile and grabbed another little wipe, this time not only scrubbing the cart's handle but also her hand. Finally satisfied, she entred the store. She placed a few bags of fruits into her cart. She didn't really need fruits but they were right in the entrance of the store and she couldn't resist how delicious they looked.

"All I said was, 'Impolite!, in Gaelic. No big deal. And no, I'm not nutty when I drink. Like I said, us Irish girls know how to hold our liquor!" She rolled her eyes at him and then gave a small smirk. "Oh, you want to know? Well, word has it, he's as much of a flirt as you are. It's funny the things you hear going around the school." She then grabbed the whiskey from him and poured herself a sliver of a glass, then filled the rest with water.

"Yes you are. You suddenly get all nice. It's creepy." He told her. When she took the whisky he said nothing because in all honesty he really couldn't care less if she drank it. He did however find it amusing how she had discovered and helped herself to his alcohol cupboard. When she added the water in though a look of near terror crossed his face. " What the hell are you doing? Number one that's mainly water so there's really no point. Number two you don't mix it with water if you cant do just hard liquor at least mix it with juice or something. Although for thy I'd recommend either rum or vodka. "

"... I was being nice because I felt sorry for what I did, okay? Big deal." She sipped it and said, "Look, I know how to drink alcohol. It's called drinking 'neat'. No ice, a splash of water. I don't want it to be super strong, just enough." She sat down once more and crossed her legs. "Just let me do it my own way. I hate being treated like a baby." She frowned, then downed her drink in one quick gulp.
