Shelly laughed at the little pup playfully and splashed him back. She couldn't remember the last time she had had this much fun. It sure has been a while. "So how old is Jack?" Shelly asked Grace.

Jack giggled as Grace got wet instead of him. She huffed and nudged him to the front. "Oh no, I'm not in this mister. You're on your own." She said and cracked a smile. She then looked at Shelly and grinned. "He's about 4 months old."

 

Oh yeah, it was a lot of fun! I'm glad I went, but I missed you guys!

Shelly laughed at the pup's cute actions. "I think I might have said this already but, he sure is a cute one." Shelly dunked her head again.

Chloe swam to shore and turned over on her back, hoping to dry off a little. She felt so much better after having washed all of that filth off of her and enjoyed watching the others play in the water.

Fang nodded his head happily. "Well then, lets get to know one another a little more then," he said as he smiled warmly at Dawn and stretched on his hind legs.

Yay! Time to bring Coop in!

 

Grace watched fondly as Jack splashed around with Shelly. "Hey, what's your name?" Jack asked sweetly as he paused to catch his breath. His small legs pumped furiously to keep him afloat.

 

Cooper paused behind a tree as he caught a familiar scent. He peeked around and caught sight of Grace in the water. He began to mov forward, but exhaustion finally set in. He collapsed on the spot and closed his eyes slowly.

"My name's Shelly, little one." Shelly smiled at Jack. Suddenly she smelt an unfamiliar smell. A strange wolve was near. She could sense it.

Grace looked towards the area where Cooper lay. She sniffed a few times and swam over to Jack. There was that smell again. She let out a low growl and stepped out of the water slowly and stood in front of Jack and Shelly.

Cooper heard a low growl that made his skin crawl. It sounded so familiar, but he couldn't be sure that it was Grace or not.

Shelly wondered why Grace got so defensive all of a sudden. She looked over Grace's shoulder where she was growling at and suddenly saw it. It was a he-wolve lying on the floor.

Dawn grinned back at him, stretching her own hind legs and swishing her tail back and forth across the forest brush. "Sounds like a plan. Would you, hypothetically of course, actually want to be my mate?"

"Shelly, please watch Jack for a moment." She said. Her voice was calm as she advanced towards the strange wolf. When she approached him, she gasped. ".....Cooper....? Is that you?" She asked softly.

 

At the sound of his voice, Cooper ligted his head weakly and grinned widely. "Hi Grace." He said and collapsed again.

Shelly tried to coax Jack a bit back once she saw Grace's shock at the sight of the strange he-wolve. When she saw him collapse again, she began o wonder what was wrong. "Come on Jack." Shelly said lightly. "Let's go over here and take a small walk."

Jack nodded and followed after Shelly. "Okay." He said softly and stole a few glances back at his mother.

 

Grace stumbled back slowly and swung her head to the side where Chloe stood. "Chloe!" She called, her voice was now filled with a sort of panic. She looked back at Cooper and blinked her eyes a few times. Was it really him? She thought.

 

Cooper sighed and stood up slowly. He was slightly shaky, but he was able to support himself.

Fang looked Dawn in the eye. "Of course Dawn. Why, if I could have what I wanted, I'd want you to be my mate right now, this very second."

Chloe, previously asleep on the shore, heard the commotion and suddenly rose to her paws and made her way over to Grace and Cooper. "What's going on?" Chloe asked firmly, staring at the unconscious wolf at her feet.

"Oh." Dawn fidgited slightly, not that she was repulsed by the idea, but simply she hadn't expected that so quickly. "Well why, though?"

Cooper looked at Chloe and whimpered. She gave off a powerful aura, one only an alpha should possess. He lowered himself to the ground in submission. "I mean no harm." He said smoothly.

Grace looked at Chloe incredulously. "T-t-this may be my brother. I don't know what to do." She stammered and looked at Cooper's front right leg. A large scar stood out against his beautiul fur, one that Grace caused. Ever since she attacked him a while back, she had always been afraid that he would hate her.

Cooper could sense the discomfort coming from Grace's body position and eyes. He looked down at the ground and quickly hid his leg in the underbrush.

Chloe's gaze softened as soon as she found out that the he-wolf was, possibly, Grace's brother. Even though she had the habitual urge to continue on with her aggressive attitude, as she does with all foreign males, she chose instead to exercise some self control and lighten up. She bowed back to the male, keeping her head above his. She turned her attention back to Grace. "May be?" she asked, somewhat confused. "How could you not recognize your own kin?' Chloe turned back to Cooper and looked him in the eye. "What is your name? Are you indeed Grace's brother?" she asked, keeping her gray-blue eyes locked on his.

Fang was not quite sure what to say. "I'm not sure. I feel like I have this connection with you. Like you're the one for me." Fang's tail moved about the ground, the grass making a soft swish as it moved from left to right. "But I do agree that we should get to know one another. There's no need to rush. You're worth waiting for," he said smiling.

Dawn grinned and licked the side of his face, "I feel the exact same about you." She rolled on her back, exposing her stomach, her most vonurable position.

"My name is Cooper, and yes, I'm her brother." He said softly. "She did this to me. Remember Grace?" He asked gently and exposed his scarred leg to Chloe.

Grace flinched at Chloe's comment. Although she may not have meant it, the words stung. "Yes, he is my brother. I just can't believe it." She whispered and hung her head, ashamed at what she did to him. "Are you mad?" She asked Cooper slowly.

Cooper shook his head and made his way over to her slowly. "I'm only mad that you left. You've been gone for quite some time, Grace. I missed you so much." He said and licked her ear.

Chloe was shocked to hear that Grace caused such a mark on her brother. "Grace, you did this?" she asked, speechless. Grace was so kind and gentle. Chloe had a hard time believing she was capable of hurting anyone, especially her own brother. "I know this is none of my business, but I can't help but ask, what happened between you two? It seems totally out of your character Grace," Chloe declared. "I can't tell you how shocked I am."

Fang barked with delight and licked Dawn's exposed underside. He then turned over onto his back as well, directly next to Dawn.

"Back in my old pack, I was bullied." She said and hung her head. "I'll say now that I was the one who did it. We didn't get along back then." Cooper interjected and sat down quietly.

"One day, I just couldn't take it anymore and I attacked him. Right after, I felt so horrible that I left." Grace finished, her eyes not leaving his scar once.
