He nodded and led them down the red latter into his lab, which was arranged oddly and to what they supposed was a conflict between officials and scientist. On one side there were cages- white walls, tiles, and white-bared cages; progressivly twords the latter the tiles were torn up and replaced with scrap metal walkways and brass handles, into a wooden and metal labratory, where it looked like all his most used books, his papers, his only source of wanted light and experimental tools were held. He even has a chronotube in the side, but it didnt look like it was being occupied.
All the cages were open- they were modified to, maybe o how the people in them liked it, maybe just to add to how he wanted it to look. And all of them were in their open cages, lolling around, untill they noticed the new people. The only one who didnt look up was Allyster in the last cage on the left, facing the last cage on the right, that was open for Willard. the sides were padded or walled but the front of the cage was not- they didnt have to put up with their neighbors but there, at least. In one cage though, there was a part of the wall cut out so two of them could see each other. All but one of them were female- to Axie, the male looked strangly familiar, as a young boy occupied the cage next to Willards.
"Rose, Antigone, Ismenee, Allyster- you know her- and Relak." He said, their names in order form left first and then right.
