Marie took his hand and said, "I'm glad you've noticed. That makes me feel better." She then walked into the living room. "Hello papa! Hello mother!"

Ishmael jumped to his feet and gave Marie a hug. "Hello my dear. Sit by the fire, you look like you've been freezing to death!"

Gale walked in behind her, and waved to Ishmael and Azazel. "Hello guys." He calmly sat by the fire, like nothing had happened.

Azazel smiled, "Welcome home you too!"

Marie removed her overcoat, the dress underneath a pretty blue color, with short bell sleeves. She hung up her coat and scarf, then sat down next to Gale, cuddling close to him and holding his hand.

Gale calmly looked at the couple behind him, his face serious as usual when around them. "Sorry I never came home last night."

Extremely tired. I'm actually gonna get going for a while after this, to get some sleep.

Ishmael said, "We figured you got caught up, and you're an adult. You can take care of yourself. Just... let us know you aren't coming home next time."

Marie yawned, resting her head on Gale's chest tiredly.

"Ah, got it. I'll tell you next time. I just got caught up with something, you see. Had to take care of stuff." It wasn't anything new for Gale to use words that didn't particularly tell what he was up to, seeing he was usually secretive.

Marie simply closed her eyes, taking in the warmth of the fireplace and avoiding the gaze of her parents. She didn't want to get Gale in any trouble. However, she was being unusually quiet.

Ishmael thought both of them were acting strange and he asked, "Are you okay? Did something happen today?"

Gale laid back, "mmm its nothing. We were just walking around a lot and it was so cold, it feels good for us to be quiet and take in the warmth. My legs feel like lead, mmhmmn." Gale was a good liar, and this came to him naturally, making up plausible excuses. He kicked his feet out and let out a sigh of satisfaction as they were warmed by the fire.

Marie was practically falling asleep on with her head resting on Gale's chest. "I'm not used to walking so much combined with the cold. I had a good day, I'm just exhausted." She looked up at Gale tiredly, then closed her eyes again.
