Miranda said, "But if I physically can't sleep, it's not my fault. And I'm not going to watch you! That would be creepy, and it's very unlike me. I could probably just go for a walk or something, right outside the clearing, to make sure we're safe."

"Im assuming if he says yes, then its a go?" Vinn cocked his head to the side.

"Well." He shrugged. "Don't wear yourself out. I enjoy your sane company, and would be very displeased if you ended up to tired to maintain a decent conversation."

Miranda said, "Nick, I can cope. The one who really needs their rest is you. So be quiet, and get to sleep. I'll see you when you wake up." She turned and sat, not facing him now.

"Well, are you going to talk to him about getting the chance to escape?" Vinn sat back in his rolling chair, putting an elbow to his knee and, subsequently, his chin to his palm. "Its all hes ever wanted out of life, and why we have him in the first place."

He huffed a bit, and slowly lowered himself to the ground- after a while, his breath slowed to indicate sleep, and only carried a partial menace in its light whistling.

Miranda avoided looking at him, and contented herself with looking up at the midnight blue of the sky, the milky white stars showing through the canopy of trees. Everything seemed to be tinted a shade of blue, even her fair skin. She smiled slightly, enjoying the whooshing sound of the wind, the call of the owls in the night.

"Hurry, though. Right now I may have a chance to get him a spot, but maybe not for long."

Nicks black ahir stuck to his face a bit, hiding his eyes- he looked about 26, give or take a few years, and spoke as if he was older. His voice wasn't deep or rich, however- it carried more a middle-ground, smooth, without being overbaring. To bad it had been stripped of its silk when he was beaten.

Miranda glanced at Nick, gently brushing the hair from his face, then turned her attention back to the nature. It was wonderful, to feel so connected to the world around her, rather than being just a puny speck on the globe, an insignificant blot.

Avar has somehow fallen asleep again, limp on the table, breathing as even as possible for his situation.

In his sleep, Nick jerked a bit, coughing taking a hold of his body before he lay still again, his breathing returning to normal. If this continued, it would be a long night.

Miranda climbed a tree, to see how far she would be able to see from different heights. She had never had a fear of heights, which was good for her, because she climbed fairly high.

Avar stirred slightly, then lifted his upper body, glancing slowly at Willard before cracking a smile. "Hey....~"

Meanwhile, many miles away, Croy was settled in a huge oak, resting against the trunk as his mind filled with thoughts.

Jade looked up at Croy from her spot a branch below, and quietly asked him, "What are you thinking about?"

"You." He huffed, obviously ruffled about something.

Avar smiled a bit, and rolled over to face him properly, before thinking about the inquasition. "....I was short." He concluded, nodding slightly.
