The letter read:

Jackson,

Thank you so much for being my friend. I was so scared you were going to hate me, like everyone else seems to. You're one of the best friends anyone could ever ask for. I cherish all of the time we've spent together. I know that I've hurt you, and I never will be able to forgive myself for that. It's always at the front of my mind.

But I want you to know that you've become one of the dearest people to me. And I'll always remember your smile, and your warmth, and your kindness. Without you at the camp... I probably would have ended up hating my life there. But you made each day good for me.

"It well may be, that we will never meet again

In this lifetime, so let me say before we part

So much of me, is made of what I've learned from you

You'll be with me, like a handprint on my heart.

And now whatever way our story ends

I know you have rewritten mine, by being my friend."

Who can say if I've been changed for the better... I do believe I have been changed for the better... but, because I knew you. I have been changed for good.

Jade

Jackson just staired at the paper, his hand shaking a bit.

Vinn, and two other doctors by the look of it, were pulling in a stretcher with a thrashing body strapped down to it.

"Get over here and help us with him!" He gasped.

The guy in the strecher- a kid, more like it, he looked somewhere between seventeen and twenty-one years old- had black hair, sticking to his forehead due to his sweating, and light, ivory skin and a thin, small build; His most remarkable reatures were the two large black circles around his brown eyes, and the countless scars, new and old, ripping up his arms. He was also covered in dark and new bruises.

"He was just caught trying to escape from another lab." Vinn explained hastily. "They beat him and god knows what else- hes a little bit paniky at the moment, so I want you..." He dodged back for a second as the kid scared him, but quickly got back to work on him. "I want you to help me get him into one of the study rooms downstairs, into a hold cell and onto a bed."

Willard nodded, and then suddenly, his eyes were orange. But not the usual violent and neon color- a more subtle. "Shh..." He put a hand on the boy's forehead. "You are safe among us. You will not be beaten."

Willard sighed, and then his hand went down the guy's cheek, and under his chin. "Open your eyes, and tell me. Do you see me a dangerous man?" He whispered, "because I know I'm not."

But he didnt look, only shuddered and let out another moan, before trying to break his restraints- or he was so out of control of his body, that is was just wracking that hard.

Vinn sighed. "Hes in a frenzy, there wont be talking sense into him right now. Just... help us."

They had rolled over to the trapdoor.

"We need to get him down."

Vinn frowned. "Hes an experiment, and one with a more unstable genetic sequence then even your wife had. His batch- they all have many adverse effects to some of our drugs. I dont want to take any chances."

The other two doctors had fled the scene already, leaving as soon as Willard arrived and the guy was safely in the room., leaving Willard and Vinn alone with the guy.

Vinn sighed, brushing back his red hair. "I dont know, I dont know..." He murmured. "I was thinking we can fold down the wheels of the strecher and then you could go down there, and I could slowly slide him down the latter for you to grab at the other end. I dont really want him in a vertical position, though...." He frowned. "Im at a loss.

Vinn bit his lip, but eventually decided he could trust Willard. "So, just.. set the stretcher on the floor, and ill wheel him into the contianment room. You know, the one your wife was in."
