"Of course, you can." He smiled a little. "I would love to see him again.... figurativly speaking. anyways, why cant you stay?"

Vinn sighed then. "I probably will never know. Thats a regular going-on here- your lucky if you arnt hurt during your stay. Im sorry that happened to you, Willard, really- that was a terrible thing."

Jade suddenly blinked, hearing her name being called. "It's all right, Adam! I just needed some fresh air!" She called. To Croy she quietly said, "I'll see you in the morning."

Willard shook his head, "did... anything ever happen to Catalin like that?"

Croy caught her hand, though, pulling her back for a second. He hesitated, then hugged hergently, more gentle then could be percived possible by Croy, before letting her go. "Run on, now."

"I wouldnt know." He said. "Obviously I never did anything like that, but I know little of him before that."

Jade nodded, then headed back to her tent. The conflict raging in her heart was driving her insane. And then the coughing began. She felt like her lungs-- something was faulty. She leaned against a tree, her eyes shut tightly.

He looked at Catalin, curious.

Of course, Croy was away by then, and Jackson was still sleeping.

Catalin had diverted his eyes.

Adam came over to Jade, putting an arm around her protectively. He examined the hand she was coucghing into. Spattered with blood.

"... Catalin. Did anything ever happen to you?" He asked, quietly. "look at me."

Croy snuk after her, after a bit, because he could smell the blood. He growled. He could smell the human too.

Catalin was quiet for a bit, but then he nodded. He still didnt look at him.

"What happened?" He gently lifted Catalin's head.

He held up three fingers. "They hit me and stuff, then they put something in my mouth and I dont remeber a lot. But it really hurt, and they took turns. "

Adam wiped her hand. "If you cough blood, it could mean you...." But he didn't want to say it. Consumption, one of the most deadly diseases.

Jade said, "I don't get diseases that humans have." She already knew what he was thinking. "But... I don't know what's happening. I think it's all this winter air." She smiled reassuringly. "I'm fine, honestly."

Adam eyed her cautiously, then said, "Well.. if you're sure." He strolled back to his tent.

Jade's knees gave out, and knelt on the ground, taking deep breaths.

Willard winced, "I'm so sorry." He hugged Catalin tight.

Croy slid down then, pulling her off to the side. "Whats wrong?" He spat, frantically.

He cried a little on his shoulder. "It hurt... it hurt.."
