Toby sent Croy the image he himself was seeing. He knew Croy could probably care less, and that he probably woldn't want to see.... but Toby felt he had to see it for himself.

Toby gently took his sister's hand and kissed it, tears welling up in his eyes. "Please don't die..." He whispered, "Don't die. I love you."

Jade slowly opened her eyes, feeling something warm grasping her hand. Moving her head slightly, she choked, "I can't see you clearly.... Toby... everything is a blur. Tell mom and dad... I'll be back in a minute."

Toby sobbed, "Mom and dad are dead.... you and I are the only ones left."

Croy suddenly winced back, all his ears laying flat on his head and neck- he looked as if, had he been more primitive, he would have hissed, for his teeth were barred. Blind eyes show emotion, and his were full of mixed, almost angry flahses. Despite his being weak from the illness induced from the being around humans, he was able to get up and run as if he was lightning, landing himself in the room as quickly as he could.

He kissed her, grinning. "Love you, though."

Toby gripped the young woman's hand. "Stay with me!!" He sobbed, "I'm right here! You'll be all right!"

Jade choked, "Henry... where is our brother, Henry?"

Toby said, "Henry is dead! They're all dead!" He kissed his sister's hand. "It's me and you, Toby and Jade. And Croy's here too!"

Jade stirred, then cried out in pain. Everywhere she moved, she irritated a bruised area. "He.... came...." Her eyes were unfocused, her right eye having turned a shade of charcoal black.

Because everything he does is based on emotion, which is hard to portray trough words.

you read it, but... hardly ever will it strike any emotion in you like it should.
