Wow, really? huh...

Lucy nodded mutely, then started eating, her stomach growling loudly. She took one bite of the food and said, "This is amazing! It's the best food I've had in a while!" She kept eating, even serving herself seconds. She looked very happy as she ate, regaining a bit of her more carefree self.

Yeah, it is a bit odd. Maybe he's just got plenty of cash to splash and £4000 is about mid range for him xD

I have to go for a bit, but I shall be returning later :)

"Asher's favourite," Sarah said, chuckling, at which Asher nodded and tucked in, eyeing his plate hungrily.

"It doesn't really get much better than this, really," Asher said, smiling.

"We're so glad you came to see us so soon. And it's wonderful to see you together. We never thought we'd get to see that."

I'd be very jealous if that was the case.

Lucy smiled at Asher's parents and said, "I'm so thankful to be here with all three of you. You don't know how long I've been wanting to do this, to be together like a family. And after everything that's happened, I won't take times like these for granted."

Yeah, me too.

"Neither will we. We're so happy for you two, and that you're a part of our family," Sarah said. "Those two chairs have been empty for too long.. The one you're sitting in, even more so, Lucy.."

Asher sighed and took a hold of his mother's hand, "C'mon now, Mom, it's okay. She's still with us." He wished this hadn't been brought up; it had nothing to do with Lucy.

Bill cleared his throat in sliggt frustration, thinking the same thing as Asher. He simply said, as though Sarah hadn't said anything at all, "I hope there will be many more times like this to come. How long are you planning on staying?"

Good evening to you! How's your day been?

Lucy shifted slightly in her seat, sensing Asher's discomfort. Still, she smiled and said, "Well, we planned on staying a couple days, so I could get a good look at Paradise Valley, and then we were going to visit my family in Oklahoma. They haven't met Asher yet, and I think my father's getting really anxious about me getting married. After that, we were planning on deciding where we would have the wedding, but we'd probably decide once we get back to New York."

And good afternoon to you!

It's been good :) My MacBook Pro came this morning. I'm yet to open it, but I may tell my parents I've given up on my vow to wait xD

Bill said, "Well, we're glad you're staying for more than just one day. We had hoped you wouldn't just be stopping over for one night." He smiled shyly and then continued to finish off his food, hoping his wife would drop the subject of Sam now.

"There's really too many beautiful things to see for just one day," Asher said, smiling and the thought of all the wonderful places.

Bill laughed a little at what Lucy had said about her father being anxious. "I suppose I've never really been like that. But I know most fathers certainly are."

=)

YAYAYAY! That's so exciting! =D

Lucy smiled back at Bill and Sarah and said, "Oh, we'll be here two days at least. I want to learn everything about this town, and all of you, and-- well, I've got quite a ways to go before I learn it all. I'll need time." She giggled, then smiled at Asher. "You'll be my tour guide, won't you?" Lucy was genuinely excited about seeing all of Asher's town, and learning more about him and his family. It wasn't like she was trying to pacify them, she truly cared.

And how are you?

Family have arrived, I'll be back later :)

Sarah smiled now, over her little spell of grief, and then said, "That's wonderful. Stay a month if you two like!"

Asher laughed and said, "Well, we'd love to, but we have a lot to do in a very short space of time. But definitely, at least two nights here before we set off for Oklahoma." He turned to Lucy, "And, of course. I know this place better than anyone. I did a lot of exploring for finding some good inspiration spots. I'll take you everywhere that's anywhere," he said, grinning at her.

Pretty good. SOOOOO glad it's the weekend. :puroperatchi:

Lucy beamed at him, then leaned over and kissed his cheek. "Thank you, Asher. You're so sweet!" She went back to eating, clearing her plate in no time at all. "That was delicious! Thank you so much, Sarah!" She beamed at her future mother in law, then took the empty plate to the sink.

Me, too. It's been tiring this week.

I've just received my induction on the wedding playlist and such, and now it's all good xD

I'm also having Chinese for dinner! =D

"You're welcome, dear," Sarah replied, smiling at Lucy.

Asher helped himself to a bit more from the dish, then took his own plate through to the kitchen. He gave Lucy a quick kiss as they met and there he said, "You're welcome for the guided tour," before setting his plate in the sink.

He took her hand and they went back through together.

"Do you guys want some ice cream or something?" Sarah asked them, in case they were still hungry.

Chinese!!!! I had Japanese last night. :3

Lucy shook her head and said, "If I eat any more, I think my stomach might explode! Besides, I don't want to gain weight before the wedding, or I might not be able to fit into my mother's dress!" She giggled lightly, then said to Asher, "You can have ice cream if you want, of course."

Yeah? Consisting of what, exactly?

"Are you kidding?" Asher said, "I think that's the most I've ever seen you eat. You never eat enough to put on weight." He chuckled and then shook his head as he said, "Nope, if I want to keep my muscles, then I'm not eating any more."

It was Pad Thai. I went to a sushi bar/ japanese restaurant. :3 yup yup

Lucy rolled her eyes and blushed slightly, then said, "Well, thank you for revealing that in front of your parents, Asher." Of course she was joking, and the smile she gave Asher let him know exactly that. "What do you all usually do after dinner?"

I've never had sushi, actually. I'm not sure if it's my thing or not.

I tell you what, though, I'm a demon with chopsticks > :D

"You're welcome," Asher said, grinning at her playfully.

In answer to Lucy's question, she said, "Well, that depends. Before we had a TV, when Asher was a lot younger, we'd play cards or something. Now we watch the news or talk. Or Asher could take you for a walk somewhere."

I've tried sushi, I'm not a big fan

Me too!!!<3

Lucy said, "Well, I really have no preference as to what happens now, so I guess I'll just let Asher make the choices from here on out." She smiled, then looked at Asher with a cheeky grin. "Haha, I don't have to make the choices here!" She taunted, before sticking her tongue out at him.

I guess I'm not really a big fish fan. And I'm not a rare meat fan, either, let alone completely raw xD

Asher sighed and rolled his eyes. He said, "I could show you some places, if you like. Places that look beautiful at night. But, I do have to make you decide one thing, would you prefer I take you or would you like my parents to come along, too?"

I'm not a fish fan. I like shrimp though!! I like my food cooked xD

Lucy sighed and said, "Decision making? Oh no!" She laughed, then said to him, "Your parents are allowed to come if they want to, I'm going to let them join us at their own discretion." She smiled at Bill and Sarah and said, "You're welcome to join us."

I like some fish, like cod. But even the idea salmon makes me queasy.

Bill and Sarah looked at each other and the Sarah said, "We know when we were staying with parents when we were your age we were pretty eager to get some time to ourselves after a while. We'll let you two have some space."

Asher smiled and said, "Really, you are quite welcome, we're not intending to get rid of you."

"No, no. You two go ahead. We'll see you later," Bill said to them.

Asher lead Lucy through to get some coats for them. In the mountainous region, it was prone to get a little chilly at night time.

I like tuna! =)

Lucy said, "Okay. Well, we'll see you two later, than. Thank you for dinner, it was amazing!" She got up and followed after Asher, then got her coat and put it on, humming quietly. Taking Asher's hand, she smiled up at him and said, "I'm hoping that you won't mind if I'm a little clingy. I just want to kiss you so badly right now."

Oh yeah, I forgot tuna! Tuna sandwiches are the bomb <3

Asher thanked his parents for dinner as he left, and told them they'd see them later. He put on his coat and then started to lead her out of the house. He chuckled as they walked along to what she'd said, and as soon as they were a good distance away from the house, he pulled her into his arms completely. He said, "Definitely not clingy at all. And nothing to apologise for. I'm desperate to kiss you, too," he laughed before pressing his lips to hers passionately.
