I'm back, but I'll probably only be on for this post. Homework waits for no man-- or woman. Dx

Lucy smiled up at Asher and gave him a quick peck on the lips, murmuring, "Don't worry about it, I understand where she's coming from. Believe me, I was overwhelmed when you came back to me-- it didn't seem real at all. I felt like it was a dream, one that I could easily wake up from, you know? Luckily it wasn't a dream, and we're still together." She took her hand in his, then squeezed it gently, before looking at her engagement ring. It was hard not to stare at it, it was so lovely, and it reminded her that she and Asher were going to share every day of their lives with each other.

Alrigthy :)

I know exactly what you mean xD

"I've also found particularly interesting and full on ways of appearing. Turning up at the doorstep, coming behind you. I can imagine that didn't help much," Asher chuckled. "Life doesn't really seem real to me at times, either. I really thought I was going to die, and in every moment after waking up, I wondered whether I was just somewhere else entirely." He watched as she looked at her engagement ring and smiled tenderly. "And now, we're getting married," he said, just for the sake of saying it, because it sounded so wonderful.

*sigh* I feel like i am drowning in work. ughhhhh....

Lucy pulled him into her arms, then looked around quickly. Seeing that nobody was around at that moment, Lucy gave Asher a quick, passionate kiss on the lips, holding him close to herself, taking in exactly how soft his lips were against hers, how he was so easy to latch onto. When she stopped kissing him, she buried her face in his chest, giving a happy sigh as she did so.

Awh ): It's really a case of just ploughing on through, I suppose.

Oh, gosh. I've been offered a terrible choice between two wonderful things for my birthday. A guitar or a MacBookPro. xD

Asher had enjoyed their quick moment of intimacy, already missing not being able to be so all of the time. But otherwise, he had never felt more comfortable in his home than he did now. Clearly, all because he met Lucy, everything had changed; he was a different person, happier, more accessible. "I love you," he murmured softly, hugging her tightly. He let go when his mother entered the room with the dish containing their dinner and had set it down on the table. She called for Bill, and they all sat at the table. Asher pulled out a chair for Lucy before settling in his own.

How do you choose between the two??? AH!!!!!!

"I love you too," Lucy mouthed, smiling at him lovingly. Then, when Asher pulled out a chair for her, she sat down, inhaling the scent of the food. "This looks delicious," Lucy exclaimed, eying the food hungrily. "Thank you so much for letting me join your family for dinner. It really means a lot to me." She smiled at Sarah and Bill, and then bowed her head and said a quick prayer under her breath. She hadn't considered herself an extremely religious person, but when Asher had returned, she had felt like a greater power was at work.

I know! D:

The only problem with the guitar is, I have to pick one. And I haven't tried any yet that are right for me. Well, there are the PRSes, but they're not in the right price range, at all xDDD

Asher's family joined Lucy in prayer, though they knew she didn't expect them to. Sarah and Bill were more religious than Asher, but even he was quite prepared to join, too. Afterwards, Sarah said, "No, thank you for coming. Thank you for everything you've done. We know you've changed our son's life tremendously."

"Besides," Bill said, pitching in, "I certainly think you're a part of this family, too. Already you are, to us, and soon lawfully as well. You belong here as much as any of us. Oh, help yourself from the dish, by the way."

I'll post later, I have to go somewhere for a while. :)

And i'm back =D

And rats! OH, there's a huge guitar store about twenty minutes from campus, and they had a les paul epiphone in blue-- just what I wanted! <3

Lucy reached under the table and gently gave Asher's hand a squeeze, before putting some of the food they had prepared on her plate. "Well, me and Asher haven't quite set the date yet, but we want to get married as soon as we can. of course, he has to meet my family for the first time, and we have some planning to do. We don't want a huge ceremony or anything, just family and friends."

Yay! :)

In blue? Oh, wow, Gibsons/Epiphones look amazing in blue! <3

How much?

"Have you got any other ideas for it, yet?" Sarah asked them.

Asher replied, "Oh, well, not much else, except that we'd like to either have it here or in Oaklahoma, where Lucy's family stays. We haven't decided on that yet, partially because I haven't been there yet." He squeezed Lucy's hand in return and helped himself to some of the food.

About $550. It's in the range that I said would be my after college price!

"As much as we love New York, it would be easier on everyone if we had it somewhat closer to home than that. Plane tickets aren't cheap, and driving would take way too much time. But we were thinking something simple, nothing very elegant or lavish. That's not my style, and not Asher's either."

Definitely good :)

Just remember to try it and see what you think. But I'm pretty sure you'll like it.

Asher nodded and said, "At the end of the day, it's really about us being together, and so we're not worried about how huge the guest list is or whether the cake is tall enough. We'd rather spend the money on a really nice trip forbthe both of us."

"Well, that sounds lovely," Bill said. "Maybe we could help you guys out a bit with the costs as part of a wedding gift? It would be the least we could do."

I tested a $500 acoustic, and it was awesome.

Lucy said to Bill, "Under normal circumstances, I would object. But, seeing as we already have an apartment and all the appliances we need, I think that would be really amazing. As long as you don't mind helping, of course. I don't want to put any financial hardships on your family."

My acoustic cost about that. That's relatively cheap in terms of the mid range. But there's something about my one that makes it seem worth so much more. It's stunning <3

"No, of course not. We'd love to help you somehow. My wife and I-- sure, we're not that old, but we're not young anymore, either. We may as well give you guys something to enjoy, since you'll get more out of it," Bill said.

"Besides, I think there's something really amazing that's just happened that means all of us will be better off," Sarah said. She turned to Asher and said, "We have some wonderful news for you. A man dropped by after hearing about you. He's an art dealer. He's really, really interested in your work."

There were some that were $4000. They were really nice, vintage of course.

I'll probably be leaving soon, to get dinner. Byeeeeee :)

Lucy gasped with delight, then turned to Asher excitedly, her face aglow with pure joy. "Asher! Congratulations, that's so amazing! This is what you've been wishing for! one of your dreams is coming true!" She wrapped her arms around him, tears coming to her eyes. "I'm so happy for you..."

That's not too bad, actually. A lot of vintages reach more.

I tried out one at the weekend that had originally cost £4000. I was so underwhelmed, I can't believe the guy paid that much for it! That could buy me one of these and one of these with several hundred pounds to spare! xD

Asher seemed gobsmacked at the news. "How interested?" he asked her.

Sarah pursed her lips, and then said, "As in, for one of your fantasy canvases, the larger ones that we have here, about a thousand dollars. He said that's what it should sell for."

Asher couldn't quite believe it. He barely reacted at first when Lucy wrapped her arms around him. Then he did so in return and started to smile a bit more. "Oh my, that's amazing," he said softly, still in a sate of shock. "People really want to buy my art.."

Wow! That's insane!!!

Lucy was practically frozen with shock and joy. His talents had really taken him where he wanted to be! He could be famous if he wanted, he could travel the world once his name spread around even more. He could do what he pleased, when he pleased. Of course, that created a sense of guilt in Lucy. Having a wife would just hold him back, keep him from his career. She didn't let those thoughts show on her face, she simply kept grinning like a fool.

I know. And I've played both of those guitars and was blown away by them. Well, I suppose there must have been something special about it.

Asher was still really unable to do much at all for that moment. After years of people telling himself and others telling him that he would never make a living from what he loved. And now it could be quite the opposite. The extra money realky didn't excite him at all. Enough to make a secure living for him and Lucy from doing what he loved was what he wanted, and maybe now he couls have it.

I guess. xD

Lucy took Asher's hand and squeezed it gently. "Are you okay?" She asked, the grin still on her face, her happiness for Asher still there. She could hardly believe this was actually happening. Asher's talent was finally being recognized, as it should have been from the start. This was encouraging, and it merely proved what Lucy already knew.

But, then, why would he be selling it? If I paid that much for a guitar it would be like 'the one'. The one you'd keep forever.

"Yeah.." Asher said, chuckling. "I'm just a bit overwhelmed. But happy, nonetheless. That's wonderful news.. To put it lightly." Things just kept getting better. He squeezed her hand back and smiled at her, "Maybe now we can finally be sure that I can still do what I love, and support us both. That's the most important thing to me about this."

Maybe he just needs extra cash?

Lucy's smile softened a bit, and she said, "You don't have to worry about me, you know. I mean... this has been your dream since forever. Don't let me stand in the way, okay? I would hate myself if you had to take focus away from your career because of me, you know?"

No, he went and bought another in replacement. And besides, he probably wouldn't sell his main axe if that was the case.

"But you're equally important to me, Lucy. I'm willing to compromise anything for you, without exception. That would make me happy, and would never make me wonder 'what if?', if that's what you're worried about," Asher told her. He then remembered that they were supposed to be eating, and ate something before it got too cold.
