Lucy had to laugh at that, ruffling his hair playfully. "I'm sorry I'm being such a nuisance," she said, in a mock-sad voice. "I mean... I just can't help it! But I guess I can go if you'd like!" At that point, she burst into laughter again, finding the whole situation very funny. She had said that coming over would save time, but they ended up getting completely focused on everything but moving in.

"Goodness, no. You're not going anywhere, thank you very much," Asher smirked slightly and tightened his hold on her. "I've never had a better distraction from something. And I'm quite happy for you just to keep distracting me for a little while longer."

Lucy chuckled, wrapping her arms tightly around him. "Okay then, if you insist," she said, faking a whiny voice, rolling her eyes as she spoke. "But we're never going to get anything done around here!" She grinned at him, kissing his forehead. "But if you don't mind, that's good enough for me."

"I'll get it done some other time. There's plenty of it. And then you can come here with everything you want to bring here and live here and it will will all be perfect," Asher smiled, giving her a brief kiss on the lips. "Although things are perfect right now, too."

Lucy nodded in agreement and said, "Yes, things really are perfect, aren't they?" She giggled and kissed him in return, then cuddled even closer to him. "I really do feel like we already live together, and have been for some time... huh. Weird, right?"

Asher nodded and said to her, "It feels like I've known you and been with you for years and years already, even though we're both too young to have lived with each other for so long." He ran his hand through her hair and said, "My old life before you feels a million miles away.."

"Is that a good thing," Lucy asked, "or should I be worried about you running off some night?" She smirked, joking with him, of course, and gently kissed his forehead. "All things considered, I think my life is a lot better, now that I have you by my side."

"Of course, you might have to keep half an eye on me," Asher joked, winking at her, "the idea of a confined life with unsupportive parents and noone to love sounds so inviting after spending today with you like this."

Lucy laughed, then slowly got up, looking around for her clothes slowly, tiredly. She sighed contentedly as she pulled her clothes on, then said to Asher, "I can't wait to cook with you in the kitchen! We can make dinner together and all that jazz!" She beamed at him, pulling his jacket on over her clothes.

"I know, it should be great," Asher said as he looked around for his boxers and jeans, pulling them on. He found his long sleeved t shirt and held it up to her, chuckling as he asked, "Is it on or off, love?"

Lucy said, "I think I'd prefer if you kept it off, to be completely honest!" She grinned at him, planting a kiss on his lips, then got to her feet and stretched, then sat down on a chair in the studio. "Don't forget," she reminded him, "you need to draw me sometime."

Asher grinned and tossed his shirt back to the floor and said, "Well, I can't say I'm totally surprised by that." He looked at her and said, "Well, I'll draw you or paint you or whatever you like, very, very soon. As soon as everything is sorted out in here, I'll do it," he smiled.

Lucy stood on her tiptoes and kissed Asher, then took his hand and led him to the living room. "Okay, so, what do you think we should do now? Maybe move more stuff?" She laughed, walking over to the cardboard boxes and sifting around through them.

"Sure," Asher said. "I think maybe if we can get the living room just about done, then we can maybe make some dinner?" He opened up the box closest to him and said to her, "These are just small ornaments and things. You can put them wherever you like, and I can work on the heavier furniture, if that sounds okay to you?"

Lucy laughed and said, "Well, I guess I can go ahead and do the dainty stuff, seeing as you think I have no muscle whatsoever!" She was joking of course, but she did flex her arms, as if to prove her point. "I have a lot of power in my arms!" She giggled again, then opened one of the boxes with the smaller items, deciding to sort them into different categories based on size and color. Thoughtfully, she placed each object, being very meticulous. It was like sorting books in a library, you had to do it just right.

Asher chuckled and said, "You do. I was just trying to be polite. It's not very gentlemanly at all to ask a woman to pick up the heavy stuff while he slacks off. If you're that keen to move the couch by yourself, though, be me guest-- I'm all for gender equality, it's the new frontier, after all." He smiled and started moving some furniture into the rooms where he felt they should go.

Lucy said, "Hey, I'm strong, but I never said I was that strong! I mean, really, if you want gender equality, why don't we just use team work or something?" She laughed, still placing the random odds and ends, looking dainty as she reached up, placing things on shelves and windowsills, catering to her liking as much as she could. She lifted another box, sorting through things, humming to herself. Sorting had always been fun to her, while it seemed a dreadful bore to most other people. For some reason, she enjoyed getting to choose where everything went, to categorize everything.

"I'll let you know if I need any help, okay?" Asher chuckled as he came back into the living room, to find another thing to move. With the two of them working on it, things seemed to be moving far quicker than when he'd been moving in before. Slowly but surely, the apartment began to take shape, boxes were far fewer.
