Eric blinked a couple of times before he spoke again. "Nah, that's not me. Everyone has their own life, y'know? I can't go around all the time, after my sister, for example. First of all, I trust her. Second of all, she'd elude me somehow. Third, I'd want the same respect. So no, I'm not like him in that way."

Lucy eventually pulled back, and went to turn on the tv, so she could see the news. "I hope you don't mind. I just really like being updated on things that happen in the world." She sat down in Asher's lap, facing the tv.

Name: James "Jae" Kitagozen

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Appearance: He has thick brown hair and smooth, deep oak eyes. He has a slim, not-so-muscular build and slightly tanned skin. He normally wears plain clothing and isn't very fashion-concious. He wears a pair of glasses with rectangular lens that balance on his nose, giving him a cynical appearance. Rarely do you see him without a smile.

Personality: Impish would be the closest word. At one time, he could be perfectly mature, kindhearted and wise, another, he seems completely insane. Others, he could display a naive immaturity from a childhood he never had.

Other: He has a detectable English accent. People have reffered to him using the words "Clown", "Jester" and "Harlequin" many times. In fact, such titles can suit him. It is thought that he may have lost his grip upon sanity and rational thinking after a series of improbable events lead to many losses in his life. Beforehand, he was pretty normal. Even if you have never met him, you will probably have heard his maniacle and unnervingly high-pitched laugh; and by the powers that be, you will never forget that. He has an extensive knowledge and wide vocabulary... And enjoys baffling people with his powers of literacy. He is now here on his own because autorities deemed him self-efficient enough to live alone, seeing as he was an orphan. Besides... No prison would accept the boy that makes the cells implode with a smile.

Alyss appeared to be absorbed in her thoughts, not paying the slightest bit of attention to anything around her.

James!!!!!!!! *spasm!*

Lucy watched the tv, not very interested in the odds and ends things, like sports and the weather. But then they began talking about civil rights activists, and the most recent happenings. Lucy leaned forward slightly. She had always wanted to march with those who supported civil rights. Her parents, unfortunately, held the very southern view that races should be separate.

Eric stuck his head out of the kitchen, to see what was occurring on the tv. He was silent, his usual smile gone. He jammed his hands into his pockets, and began to chew his lip, stepping all the way out of the kitchen.

Jesse followed Morgan, oddly enough. For some reason, he actually felt bad about being rude to her. He stood in the doorway of the studio, his arms folded across his chest, a smug look on his face.

xD I feel slightly removed from the love. I don't know them very well.

Asher noticed Lucy's sudden interest in the story. Living in a northern state his whole life obviously had an affect on his views-- though, that didn't mean to say people in Montana totally agreed with racial equality; far from it. He did, though. Maybe it came from the fact that he had always felt different from everyone else, but he supported the rights movement fully.

"There are things you can do, you know. Even just two people, like you and me," he told her, recalling what she'd said earlier.

mari saw him and turned and walked faster and thought:Ah,he has to meet people, but he has time to stalk someone else.I thought he was busy!

she roled her eyes and kept walking.

But I love you, Tarryn!

Lucy said, "I want to join the marchers. I want to protest, to write, or give speeches, or even just give money. But... I'm poor, and not very important at all. And I have no transportation."

"Actually...." Eric said. "Jesse is going to buy a van today. Maybe, if we can get him in on this, he could take us. All of us. If, Alyss wants to come along too."

Jesse said, "I just wanted to... apologize. For before. I'm rude by nature, so I hope you didn't take it the wrong way." He shrugged, putting his hands in his pockets.

I know you do :)

I meant giving love to Black~Heart for being back, is all.

I love you, too, by the way xD

"Who says you have to be rich or important to do those things, Lucy?" Asher said. "Most-- if not all-- of the people in that march are normal people no different from us, who just want to stand up for what's right."

XDDDD YOU GUYS ARE SO SLOW!

f*ck....caps....well, oh f*cking well, I'm not fixing it. -killed-

She slid off of the counter and walked over to Eric, frowning when she saw what was going on TV. Every time she saw anything about racism, good or bad, it made her want to run away and cry, and not because she was the kind of person who cried whenever something bad came on TV. "I-I would rather not go..." She said softly, her voice cracking slightly.

I like being slow, thanks. xD

Eric raised an eyebrow. "Oh. Well.... it's okay, then. You don't have to. I just thought you'd be interested." He shrugged, then went back to watching tv.

"A van... it would be perfect! We could go, and join the marchers! And then--" But then she saw people being knocked down with fire hoses. And she suddenly felt sick. She jumped up, and turned off the tv. "Maybe... we should discuss this later. With Jesse."

Jesse said, "I'm Jesse. But I really can't stay. I have to go and do some things, and meet some people. All that." He turned to leave.
