[[Ah yes, okay, sorry. I meant the weather]]
Nighttalon, who had just woken up from a short nap in the underbrush, was famished. She counted the days slowly in her head [she was dizzy from hunger] and came to the answer of five. Five whole entire days without food.
Nighttalon began to wander mindlessly around a patch of oaks, when she spotted something she hadn't seen in five entire days.
Food. A recently-killed squirrel.
Nighttalon's eyes grew wide and a huge smile came over her face. (Who cares,) she thought happily to herself, (If it belongs to anyone. I just need it!)
She trotted over to the squirrel happily and bent over to eat it. (Keep in mind she didn't care whether it was a trap or not--you would probably do the same if you saw fresh food out in the middle of nowhere).
Believe it or not, it was not a trap! It seems as though the food was just killed and left. After eating Nighttalon decided to wash the meal down with a nice mint leaf or two. She plodded over to a bush and began chewing the leaves happily, swallowing slowly to savour the taste. She then set off in the opposite direction to try and find another meal--maybe even find a clan and steal from them.
(Whatever the outcome,) Nighttalon thought egotistically to herself, (I'll take it.)
