Angie acknowledged his reassurance, nodding yet again. "It was scary, thinking I might lose you.. I mean, if I'd been human, I couldn't have gotten Max off you.." she said to him. She got up and went to retrieve the emergency blood packet from her bag. "It's not the easiest way to take it the first time.. A little weird.. But, I promise, it tastes fine," she chuckled handing it to him.

Brandon said, "I meant sleep. There's nothing else I'd want to miss, of course. I don't think I'd forgive myself if I wasn't there for any important part of yours or our baby's life."

Mikey smelled the blood, and he felt his mouth beginning to water. But, he kept himself calm, coolly opening the seal, then sipping from it slowly. Wow... this is amazing... He looked gratefully at Angie, then kept drinking the blood, already feeling stronger. But he also knew that drinking human blood would only be a one time thing, because he couldn't get hooked to it.

Sadie said, "Well, even if you didn't want to be around, I would force you to. I'm very strong willed, you know." She grinned at him, then looked down at Cosette, taking the baby's tiny hands in her fingers.

Angie silently watched him drink it. It was a good reaction, all in all. He'd drank it reasonably, at a calm pace, and that was impressive considering the fact that not only was it his first time, it was also human blood. "Some *********-- Kyle, we suspect-- bought human blood packets. Well, you'll be able to hunt by the next time you need to feed, anyway, but we won't have any more of them around the house. So you should be pretty controlled from the start. And besides, I'll be here, just in case," she smiled at him reassuringly.

"I know it very well. It's a very good thing that you are, too. I think it's important for women to be strong and independent as well as vulnerable and loving to their partner. You are, in other words, the perfect woman," Brandon smiled his signature smile once again and kissed her forehead.

the cool thing about one of the colleges I'm applying to is that they have a study abroad program in London.

Mikey nodded calmly, throwing the packet into the garbage can. "So far, how am I doing?" He asked, keeping cool. He did feel thirsty, but he could easily keep himself under control. Probably because of all the discipline he had faced in the army.

Sadie said, "And I always tell you I'm far from perfect. But for today-- I won't protest. But I won't agree, okay?" She laughed quietly, kissing his cheek.

That's cool. You'd like London. It can't really compare to NYC, really, but it is a great city =D

Angie smiled and told him, "You're doing really great so far. I mean, you're taking everything so calmly, it's amazing. I think you'll be just fine. When you can hunt, the thirst will be easier to get rid of. I'm really proud of you, Mikey. It's a hard decision to make, and even harder to put up with the effects to start with."

Brandon grinned and said, "That is as much as I should want from you. I'll take that and be happy. I love you."

I really want to see West End musicals.

Mikey grinned, and slowly got to his feet. "Wow... I feel so strong.. like I could run a marathon... or lift a thousand pounds!" It amazed him, how, just a fdew minutes ago, he felt weak and useless. But now he was the total opposite.

Sadie kissed him, then rubbed Cosette's stomach gently, trying to keep her comfortable.

Cosette just kept sleeping, completely content.

"Don't go trying it just yet, though. You're probably still not totally vampire yet. Still, you can stand now, that's great." Angie smiled, standing up herself now. For the first time, she really looked at him since he'd changed, how everything about him was stronger and more defined. When she realised she'd been looking long enough for him to assume she was staring, she looked at the floor instead.

After a few moments of silence, Brandon thought to tell her, "I wish you could see yourself right now. At what a great Mum you've been already. Taking everything into consideration, it's better than great, really."

Mikey smiled slightly and said, "Do I look stupid, now that I've changed? I mean... I haven't seen what I look like at all, so I'm hoping I don't look all girly-boy vampire, you know?"

Sadie blushed at that, and looked completely elated as she told him, "You know I feel the same way towards you. I mean, just watching you and her-- it's completely natural."

 

[KERFUFFLE]

Angie looked back up at him, chuckling, "Well, I think you look.. In a man's way, I mean, like Evander or Brandon.." She paused for a moment, her cheeks taking on a very subtle pink hint. "You're sort of beautiful." She had always thought he was very good-looking, and she was sure he knew that from their conversation earlier, it wasn't that she suddenly found him attractive now that he was a vampire.

"Thank you," Brandon smiled at her, touching her cheek gently as she blushed-- he always liked it when she blushed, but he'd never told her that. "But you deserve more praise than I do. I've had a lot more practise than you."

Mikey turned to her and smiled, then sat beside her, taking her hands in his. He gave them a gentle squeeze. Strange, now he was the same temperature as her. Which was nice, he liked it. "Do you really mean that, Angie? You're not just saying it to make me feel better?" He didn't want to tell her right then, but he had always admired her beauty, he had always thought she was gorgeous. And her approval was important to him.

Sadie leaned over and kissed him, and murmured, "I knew, when I first met you, that I was picking the greatest man in the world. And every day, you keep proving it to me. In what you say, what you do, and I look at you, and see you with Cosette... and I just know, this is how we're supposed to be."

I went sledging today =D

Angie squeezed his hands back. It was strange for her, too, they suddenly didn't feel so much warmer anymore. "I really do," she replied, smiling back at him slightly, the red fading very quickly as she realised he was happy that she thought of him that way.

Brandon kissed her back while it has lasted, and then stroked his fingers through her hair, smiling. "I do hope you will always feel that way about me. I never want what you and I have to.. even just to weaken. Forever's a long time to keep it up, you know. But I think we can do it."

Mikey leaned forward, and pressed his lips to her cheek, very gently. "Thank you," he said, "for everything. For being my friend, for changing me... you saved my life. And thank you, for giving me a chance to show you how much I really really like you."

Sadie said, "I know we'll be able to. Plus, with beautiful Cosette, we have yet another thing about our life together to love." Cosette stirred, then opened her eyes with a yawn. She stared up at Sadie, and Sadie stared back, it was almost like a mirror effect.

It was fun, but the boards we had didn't work because the snow was too deep, so we had to go down on bin bags xD

"You don't have to thank me for any of it, Mikey. It was easy for me to do those things for you-- well, except maybe changing you, but I knew I just couldn't let you die," Angie told him, smiling, "I like you too much for that."

Brandon's only response was to nod, as now Cosette was waking up. He chuckled, "She looks even more like you than she did yesterday."

Mikey grinned at her, then gave her a hug. "Well, I am sorry that our plans for a date got ruined. Although, if you want, we could stay here and watch a movie or something. I mean, as long as you don't mind or anything. If you have any better ideas, you can tell me."

Sadie said, "She has my eyes, and that's a fact."

Cosette squealed, reaching out to her parents, her arms flailing. Sadie absolutely adored their baby, and she knew Brandon did too, and that made her very happy. "Good morning princess!" Sadie sad to Cosette, tickling her.

Yeah, we had a lot of funny moments, too. We were at this huge valley, you see, and so, before a certain point, we had to bail off because otherwise we'd go over a little ledge and down the valley itself, and, well, if you saw it, you'd probably die if you fell down that. So, Georgie, my cousin-- it had to be her, of course-- didn't judge the distance very well and went over the first ledge. Luckily, she was saved by a bush. Not so luckily, it was a bramble bush xD

She also decided she'd try a running jump down the slope on one of the boards, which we'd covered in liner. What she didn't think about that was the fact that she had a smooth coat on, so there was more friction going on between the board and the gorun than there was between the board and her, and she flew straight off it and did a faceplant in the snow xDDD

"Hey, don't worry about it. You know how it is, young people often get their date plans ruined by a werewolf attack. We can just go when you're strong enough to go out of the house," Angie chuckled, smiling at him. "A movie sounds like a good idea, though. I'd like that."

"I know, but she's not as pale as me, either. Somewhere in between, I think, really. Not all vampires have to be too pale. I don't think your skin will change much, honestly." He smiled down at Cosette, "Good morning, again. How's the holiday so far, Cosette?" he chuckled, offering her his hand to amuse herself with gripping on to.

xD we don't have many good sledding spots where I live, sadly. the only good one is down the street, but there's a small stream that runs near the end.

I fell in it once after sledding.

Mikey got up and started looking through the movies he owned. "Do you have any specific movie you'd like to watch? I have too many movies to mention, basically every genre of movie, both old and new. I even have some black and white films!"

Sadie said, "That's because I have a slight tan, nothing too much to speak of."

Cosette squealed up at Brandon, holding his finger tightly in her hand. She beamed up at him, drooling.

Sadie gently wiped it away with her thumb, then rubbed her thumb on her pajama bottoms.

Max was trying to nurse his broken heart at the bar. Sadie used to work here... he could still smell her all over the place. Why was he so crazy over her? She loved another man, she had a kid. It was obvious she didn't want him. He took another drink of whiskey, sighing. "I've gotta get over her," he told Scotty, who had become the current bartender.

Scotty said, "Well, man, maybe you'll meet someone else, you know? There are lots of fish in the sea. Sadie is a nice girl, but I'm sure there's a better girl out there."

Kay walked into the bar, looking around. She saw all these unfamiliar faces, confused. She tucked some of her black hair behind her right ear, adjusting the bows in her hair. She walked a few steps to the side so she didn't block the door, and stood there feeling awkward.

Scotty looked over and noticed a girl, standing awkwardly by the door. "She's pretty. Max, why don't you get her to sit by you?"

Max looked over at the girl, and couldn't help staring. She was pretty. He got up, and walked over to her. "Um.... hey. Would you like to sit with me?" He said, motioning to the bar. He had never been good with introductions.
