[KERFUFFLE]

"I sure did! You and Uncle B and everyone else-- just especially you and Uncle B-- were in all, of them with me!" Ysi grinned first at Sadie and then at Brandon.

"Am I s'posed to call you aunty yet or do I have to wait another day?" she asked, at which Brandon laughed quietly.

"No, not today, honey, sorry. You'll know when you can, you'll be there."

Sadie grinned at him, blushing, then turned back to the food. "Well, I think we're finished! Ysi, do you want to pick which pancake you want?" She put the pancakes on different plates, according to what kind they were. "I made regular ones, blueberry pancakes, and chocolate chip pancakes. I think there's syrup in the fridge, and butter... and maybe whipped cream!"

 

[KERFUFFLE]

Ysi pouted slightly, and then said, "Well, I have to ask you every day, 'cause what if I miss one out and then that could be the day. And then I'd miss the WHOLE DAY, wouldn't I?"

Brandon laughed again and then set her down on the counter. "I told you, you'll know because you'll be there. Now, get some pancakes while I call everyone else, okay?" he ruffled her hair and left her with Sadie for a moment while he called everyone else down.

Meanwhile, Ysi sat on the counter, swinging her legs over the edge. She looked at the pile of pancakes. "Can I have a chocolate chip one, and a blueberry one, please?" she grinned up at Sadie.

Sadie smiled, sliding two pancakes onto Ysi's plate. "Here you go, Ysi! I hope you like them! Me and Brandon made them together!" Just then, there was a knock on the door. Sadie called, "Could someone get that please?" She suddenly shook her head. "Wow... suddenly, this food doesn't seem to agree with me..."

 

[KERFUFFLE]

It's the weekend! =D

The others were coming through to the kitchen, along with Brandon. He heard Sadie from out in the dining room. He turned back to answer the door.

Ysi smiled and hopped off the counter. "Thanks!" she eyed the pancakes on her plate hungrily, and moved aside for everyone else to get theirs.

FINALLY!! WOOOOOO!!!

Mikey, Prudence, Lucy, and Jude came inside quickly, laughing with each other. "Hey everyone!" Mikey said, going into the kitchen. "Sadie, you look really great today!" He gave his sister a peck on the cheek, then went and sat down, not grabbing any pancakes.

Prudence was staring at Sadie, with a strange expression on her face. It was joy, mixed with shock.

Sadie, however, didn't notice. "Everyone, there's plenty of food to go around!"

 

[KERFUFFLE]

Ahh, I thought something fishy was going on here xDD

Brandon came back through to the kitchen. He hadn't noticed anything about Sadie that could have been different-- but, if there was, that would have been because he continued to try and block out thoughts, or any kind of.. energy surrounding her. He did feel Prudence's emotions slightly, though, and wondered what she seemed so pleased about.

He helped himself to a couple of pancakes, and then put an arm around Sadie. "You're not eating?" he asked, sounding surprised.

Sadie shook her head. "I don't feel so good," she told him, sitting down.

Prudence just stared at Sadie, the same dopey look on her face. "Yeah... you look really pretty!"

Sadie raised an eyebrow warily. "What are you talking--... well... thanks, I guess." She shrugged, cuddling closer to Brandon.

Lucy got some pancakes, then asked Ysi, "Are the pancakes good?"

 

[KERFUFFLE]

I had my suspicions when she said that the food wasn't agreeing with her xD

Brandon knew something was definitely up-- and Prudence wasn't acting like she was hiding a surprise birthday party or something. No, it was much bigger than that. He sat with Sadie and wondered for a moment.

Ysi was smiling up at Lucy, nodding, with a mouthful of pancake, resembling a hamster stuffing it's cheeks. She swallowed and then said, "Sure are! Best pancakes I've ever had!"

Brandon couldn't think in the noisy kitchen. He stood up, "I'll be right back, baby," he told her, and then motioned subtly for Prudence to join him in the hallway. He turned towards the doorway. "Don't tell me what it is just yet, just clarify that something's going on here," he said.

Prudence said excitedly, "Well, it's very very very important! And It's making me so happy I could cry! But yes... something big is going to happen." She was positively beaming.

Sadie watched Lucy and Ysi, amazed at how similar they were, with the fair hair, and pretty porcelain skin. It made her happy to see that her family got on so well with Brandon's.

Lucy giggled. "Good! Now I won't be afraid to eat them!" Sadie laughed along with Lucy.

"Hey now, I'm a pancake master!" Sadie interjected.

 

[KERFUFFLE]

The pieces were all there, and they were fitting together now thanks to Prudence's confirmation. He had an idea in his mind-- and a very clear one--, and he couldn't stop grinning at the thought that he could be right as he went back through to the dining room, now to pull Sadie aside instead, to the empty living room. He tried not to give anything away, looking seriously at her, taking both her hands.

"This is not something I normally ask of you, or want from you, for that matter, but I need to open my mind to you, Sadie."

Sadie looked at him worriedly. "Well.... okay then..." She stammered, taken aback by this sudden request. "But... never mind, I'll save my questions for later."

In the kitchen, Prudence looked as if she was holding her breath. She was silent, not even moving.

Lucy's laughter had died down, and now she looked at Jude solemnly. They were merely human, so they couldn't hear in the other room. But they knew something was going on.

Mikey looked at some of the members of Brandon's family, as if asking them what was going on.

 

[KERFUFFLE]

Brandon stroked her hair comfortingly, "It's okay, I promise you. It's not a bad reason-- well, I don't think so, anyway. If I am right, I hope you think it's a good thing too."

To her, it would just have looked as if he was just standing there, looking at her just as he had been. But his mind was stretching out-- something he hadn't done in quite some time because she was around so much.

And there it was. The faintest of hints of something more than just the two of them in this room.

"Sadie.." he said softly, pausing. What was the best way to come out with it? Tell her straight. "Sadie.. You're pregnant."

From the kitchen, even the human ears could have heard Sadie screaming with pure joy.

Sadie ran into the kitchen, completely jubilant. "I'm having a baby!" She crowed, almost jumping up and down.

Prudence grinned. "I knew it!" She squealed, running over to embrace Sadie. "I'm so happy for you!"

Mikey gasped, standing up. "A baby... that means.... I'll be an uncle...." And then he fainted. Jude quickly went to revive him.

 

[KERFUFFLE]

Brandon joined them in the kitchen, grinning widely. "Correction, we're having a baby," he laughed and came over to hug Sadie once everyone else had done.

Blaise was beaming, as was Evangeline. Evander was smiling proudly, and even Kyle was showing signs that he was happy for them. They all came over to congratulate the pair with hugs.

Sadie hugged everyone, feeling every possible emotion at once. Of course she was scared. Her having a vampire baby posed risks to not only her, but the baby his or herself. But she knew that, no matter what happened, she would give her life for the baby, just as she would give her life for Brandon. Sadie looked up at Brandon now, her eyes filled with tears. And that look told him how much she loved him.

 

[KERFUFFLE]

Yay! It's got to be called Renesmee! xDDD -ahem-

Well, I'd better sleep xD Talk to you tomorrow.

I loved the flowers, by the way-- it was awesome and uber cute =D

Brandon pulled her closer and pecked her on the lips, gazing down at her now as lovingly as he was capable of, hiding nothing from her at all. He knew a vamipre baby was dangerous to her, but he would figure a way for both the baby and Sadie to make it through this. The moment where she may be needed to be changed was probably drawing near, and he knew it. He put a hand on her stomach, which showed no evidence at all of her being pregnant, but he could feel their baby inside, and he was utterly overjoyed.

Sadie beamed up at him, and said, "I'm glad that we're having this baby. I can't even describe how wonderful I feel!" She gently placed her hand on his, lovingly.

Mikey eventually pulled himself together, then went and shook hands with Brandon, and gave Sadie a hug. "I'm very happy, for both of you."

I don't blame you xDD

It's a ridiculous name, anyway.

"I just.. I can't believe it. I mean, the chances are so small, anyway. Smaller than if we were both human," Brandon said thoughtfully. "But I'm the happiest I've ever been in my life."

He was going to be a Dad. That was the one thought that was going around in his head again and again, and he was ecstatic-- more than.. He was so happy he couldn't ever find the words to tell anyone how much.

They should have named her something cool. Not Renesmee.

Sadie wrapped her arms around him, and held him close. "I didn't think that we'd ever be able to have kids.... but now we are! I mean, I don't know what to do! I'm as happy as a child, I'm light as a feather!" She felt like her life was completing itself. A wonderful man, their child, a loving family. She had never felt more at home, anywhere in her life. But in the back of her mind, she wished her parents were here, to celebrate with them.
