Brandon sat down next to her and sat in a similar sort of postion, looking up at Mikey as he played and smiling.

Sadie rested her hand on Brandon's knee, tapping her fingers in time with the music. She eventually just sat on his lap, taking his hands in hers.

 

[KERFUFFLE]

Brandon wrapped his arms around her and rested his hands on her stomach, resting her head next to hers on her shoulder as they listened to him playing.

Sadie turned, letting her face caress his, closing her eyes as she listened to the music.

Mikey kept playing, sitting down next to Jude and Lucy. Jude started singing, and so did Lucy. They sang a love song to each other.

 

[KERFUFFLE]

Her breath against his cheek felt wonderfully warm against his cold skin, and hesighed contently because of it. He also closed his eyes and his smile widened as the two began to sing.

Sadie opened her eyes to look at Jude and Lucy.

There was love, and she knew it. Lucy and Jude looked at each other, as if nobody else existed. All they needed was each other, they knew everything was going to work out. They would always want each other, through good and bad times.

Sadie closed her eyes again, thinking about what Brandon had said. Maybe soul mates existed. Maybe Brandon could be hers.

 

[KERFUFFLE]

For once, his mind wandered, and he heard the thoughts of those around him in his head. Everyone except Sadie's, however, he'd built an mental wall between his and hers, if he wanted to hear her thoughts, he'd have to break it down to get there. And he knew that in just the few thoughts he could hear, see and feel in his mind that Jude and Lucy were the human equivalent of vampire soulmates.

He wanted to be Sadie's more than anything.

Jude leaned over and rested his head on Lucy's shoulder, and in response, she wrapped her arms around him. They kept singing, completely lost in their own world.

Sadie wondered if Brandon would try to change her, or what would happen when it became even clearer that her time was limited. She hoped that maybe, if he would be willing, he would change her. Prudence had offered once, but she didn't want to make things awkward.

 

[KERFUFFLE]

If he'd heard that.. Brandon thought that turning was something he could never do to anyone, vampire life was hard in so many ways. But the desire he had for her was far stronger, and he wouldn't dismiss the idea. If it meant he could be with her forever, then it may just be worth it.

Sadie came out of her thoughts when Jude and Lucy stopped singing.

Prudence randomly hug-attacked Max, giggling. "Wolfie!"

Rita said, "Hey now! Max, don't put the moves on her, she's my girlfriend!"

 

[KERFUFFLE]

Brandon was still quiet. His eyes opened but he seemed to be concertrnating very hard on something. He didn't really notice the conversation going on until he finally came out of his.. Trance like state, and smiled again, turning his head to kiss Sadie's cheek and then saying to Jude and Lucy, "That was beautiful."

Jude said, "Thanks. Lucy's my favorite song." Lucy smiled at him, kissing the top of his head. "I love you too," she whispered in his ear.

Sadie smiled wistfully at the couple. Maybe love wasn't as bad as it had once seemed. She turned and kissed Brandon's forehead, smiling.

 

[KERFUFFLE]

Brandon smiled crookedly at the kiss and then said, "There's only one person who can sing your favourite song the way it should be, right?" At that, he hugged Sadie closer against his chest-- some sort of indication, almost, that he wanted her to be that person for him.

Awww, I love your siggy!

Sadie nodded slightly, resting her head on his shoulder suddenly. She looked over at Lucy and Jude, who were staring at Sadie and Brandon, smiling.

The two lovers looked at each other in that knowing sort of way. They both knew it was happening already, though it was fast.

I'm quite proud of it, actually, because I made it up myself after writing that slightly failed version in my last post =P

Brandon was very curious to know what their thoughts were more deeply. Of course, by now, he was good at reading expressions, but though this was one he hadn't come across much. It was difficult not to reach out for their thoughts, but somehow he guessed that they were only confirming what he knew- that he was falling in love with Sadie very quickly.

Lucy suddenly got up. "I'm starving! Can I get anybody anything?" She started heading towards the kitchen.

"Chips!" Max yelled.

Sadie didn't say anything. She just burrowed her face in the crook where his shoulder and neck met.

"No, I'm fine, thankyou," Brandon said, then turned his head to kiss Sadie's forehead. "I thought I should let you know.. I love you," he whispered to her.

I'm in a talent show tomorrow! I'm singing a duet with one of my guy friends!

Sadie looked up at him, surprised-- in a good way. "Oh Brandon.. I... I love you too." She was afraid that when she said it, she wouldn't feel it. But she did, surprisingly enough, like something pressing against her chest. It felt so perfect. She knew it was very quick... only a few hours! But she couldn't deny what she felt.

 

[KERFUFFLE]

Good luck, then! What song are you singing?

"I also think you should know that.. You shouldn't feel obliged to say that, if it's not what you really feel.." Brandon said, "I know it hasn't been long.." He was smiling though, because, although he was worried for the most part that that was her reason for saying it, he had hope that she had really meant it.

Sadie said, "Brandon... I mean it. I realize it now that I've actually said it." She toyed with his hair, smiling up at him. "I love you." She moved, kissing him lovingly.
