Brandon was quiet for some time, very thoughtful about lots of different things. He somehow wished that he could be handsome to her because he just turned out that way, not because it was the means he used to survive as a vampire; he envied her in that sense- he thought she was a very beautiful girl, including in the ways that he was not. Eventually he said, "Going down is actually a lot more fun than going up. A little extra speed.."

Sadie suddenly said to him, "If I jumped... would you catch me?" She looked up at him, her face solemn.

Sadie suddenly stood up and ran back a few feet. The she ran to the edge of the building, and dove off headfirst. She looked almost like a swimmer, but then she turned so she could face the sky.

Brandon was on his feet and plummeting, feet first, towards her within just a few seconds. Falling had never looked quite so graceful. He had to be lightning quick in order to catch her before she passed him- he'd prefer to catch her while she was still in the air than just as she was about to hit the floor. He wrapped his arms around her, then got a hold of her legs to carry her bridal style. He used his foot against the glass of the building to slow him down as much as he could, then pushed off completely, like he was jumping from a rooftop as he had been earlier to control the fall, and landed on the sidewalk without so much as a scratch on him. Though, the impact did crack the concrete just a little bit.. The feeling of falling was new, and had been like nothing else he'd ever felt- truly amazing.

Sadie stared up at Brandon, amazed. "You weren't kidding..." She said gently, climbing out of his arms. She looked up at the building. It had been a bigger fall than she had thought. "That was amazing!" She crowed, her face alight with excitement. She was a daredevil- another trait that got her into trouble back home. When she was 16, she tied herself to the top of a car, then let her friend drive it at full speed. She got a thrill out of doing dangerous, exciting things. Her heart right now was beating thunderously, a mile a minute.

"I can't quite believe I did that either.." Brandon breathed- actually, it was more like hyperventilating for about the first minute or so. He'd never felt such a thrill, and, for once, he was truly thankful for what he was, and that he could do these dangerous things with her just for fun. He stared up at the building, grinning again, "Wow.."

Sadie looked at him now, smirking. "I believe we're either the bravest people around... or the craziest. Maybe both, I'm not too sure." Her head swam slightly, and she had to sit down, pulling herself together.

Brandon sat in place next to her. "You might be crazy and brave- In my opinion, you're both-, I'm just a little more than ordinary. Though, I don't know any other vampires who dared jump offva building.. After a human, especially."

Sadie chuckled. Then she said, "There are lots of humans who jump off of buildings. But they're cowards, in my opinion. They can't face the things the world hands to them, so off they go." She laid on the pavement, not minding that it was dirty, and breathed deeply.

"I see..." Sadie said, sitting up once again. Brushing her hair away from her face, she smiled coyly at Brandon. She slipped her hand into his and gently squeezed it. "Thanks for catching me."

Brandon smiled back- another 'real' smile, the kind that seemed only her could get out of him. He squeezed her hand back very, very gently- though to her it probably felt just about normal- and said, "I'll always be there to catch you when you fall- or jump. As cheesy as that may sound, it's true."

Sadie looked geniunely touched by what he had said. She leaned forward, almost hesitantly. Then, she very gently pressed her lips to his. Completely shocked by what she was doing.

Brandon resisted the immediate recation to it that would have been to pull back and just stare at her in surprise. It was easier than it should have been to continue with his lips pressed to hers, which only meant that he wanted to stay this way. He started to kiss her very gently, hesitantly, in fact.

Sadie pulled back slowly, and gaped at him with shock. "I'm so sorry!" She exclaimed, trying to scramble to her feet. She couldn't believe she had just done that. He was probably more mortified than she was. She mentally cursed herself.

Brandon stood up in one swift movement, looking at her with nothing but confusion plastered over his face and deep within his eyes. He stopped her from walking away from him- not sure if she was going to, but there was the possibility-, keeping a firm hold on her hand. "What are you sorry for..? Kissing me? Because it didn't bother me in the slightest."

Sadie said, 'I was completely out of line. I didn't even-- wait, what?" Now she was even more shocked. He hadn't minded? Really? She looked at him doubtfully, tilting her head slightly. "You didn't mind it?"

I gotta go! Talk to you tomorrow!

Alrighty! Tschüs!

Brandon pulled her towards him a little more. "No, I didn't mind at all. In fact, I actually.. Liked it. I was just surprised that you wanted to kiss me.." He pulled her closer yet, "Please, just.. Don't leave me."

Sadie was silent for a few moments. Then, she nodded. "I won't leave you." She said quietly. "That's a promise."
