"Really? What happened?" Jessica asked, her face softening for the first time.

"So I was walking in the forest, just trying to get home. Then this girl appeared. She was beautiful, and told me to come with her. I followed her, and she turned me into a vampire. After that, I stayed with her for a week. She taught me how to be a vampire and all that stuff, and I fell in love with her. That's when she left. One day I woke up, and she was gone." Damien looked down. "And I never saw her again."

There was an awkward silence for a few moments. "Wow. Uh, yeah, sorry about that..." Well, what else could she say? "I go in the forest all the time. Or at least, I used to."

Damien stayed quiet, not talking.

Jessica sighed. "Well, I'm not tired anymore. But there's nothing we can really do other than sleep... hopefully, we won't have to do anything more drastic."

Damien nodded softly, and closed his eyes. He leaned his head back on Jessica's shoulder, too tired to care what he was doing, and fell asleep.

Jessica paused, shuffling awkwardly for a few moments before gently prising herself out from underneath Damien, and starting to head upstairs.

Damien woke up in the morning, and rubbed his eyes, rolling off the couch.

Jessica had crashed upstairs and had fallen asleep again... in the middle of the kitchen floor.

Damien walked upstairs and saw Jessica asleep on the kitchen floor.

After a few moments Jessica opened her eyes. "Ohgodwhathappened..." She mumbled, sitting up. "Guess I feel asleep again..."

Damien laughed slightly. "Need a hand?" he asked, offering his hand to help her get up.

Jessica jumped, before taking Damien's head and getting up. "Thanks. I hope your kitchen floor is clean." A pause. "Although, you're a teenage boy, so probably not."

Damien nodded, laughing a bit.

"Well, you're not denying it." Jessica said, cracking a grin.

"Yes you can!" Jessica rolled her eyes, looking out of the window. "...Dear god, I can't see anything but forest. Is it morning or night?"
